I recommend Heather with zero hesitation for ANY wedding needs. Her dresses are fantastic, her tailor skills are unmatched and she is WAY COOL!! 5 stars. 12/10. If you go anywhere else, you will miss out.

the typical wedding dress. I didn’t require an intricate bodice, a dramatic train, or anything else you would want from a standard wedding dress. All I knew was that I wanted a specifically designed halter wedding dress, which was similar to Meghan Markle’s reception dress. But I didn’t want a fitting mermaid cut like hers and wanted an a-line flowy and light fabric dress since I was getting married in Hawaii. My wedding was going to be outdoors in tropical weather so I definitely didn’t want a regular wedding dress! After going to boutiques or shopping online for a couple of months, I decided to go ahead and pay the price to customize my own dress since what I wanted wasn’t easily found in stores. I came across a designer who was based in my hometown Houston and was sold. She said the dress could be done in 3/2023 because of the simplicity and specifics of my dress. I did my measurements with her in 12/2022 and couldn’t wait for updates that I was promised until my dress was finally finished. Well…something happened that I don’t wish upon any bride. This designer went radio silent, wouldn’t answer my calls, or give me any updates for the 2 months leading up to my dress being finished. After being ignored for weeks, I finally asked for a full refund on my deposit and was left without a wedding dress in late 1/2023. I was crying and feeling like I would be left without a dress since my wedding was literally 5 months away. I went back onto The Knot and did my search because I did recall a designer before that I had on my list but unfortunately wasn’t the first person I called. Now this part of story introduces who I call my fairy godmother Heather! As she calls herself The Singing Seamstress, I gave her a call right after I cancelled my services with the previous designer. I told her my story and the terrible situation that I was put in. She initially said she couldn’t make any promises until she sees the design of what I want and was very honest in her ability and timing of when she can finish the dress. At this point, I appreciate her truthfulness because I definitely didn’t want to be conned again. After a few text messages back before and showing her the design that I wanted, she said she can start but we had to get started right away. We met in person at a fabric store and right away, I felt the stress lifted off of me. Heather was so reassuring and confident in her abilities to give me the dress that I wanted. She also gave her opinions and advice on certain things which I appreciated. And from there, we had an initial meeting to check my measurements and talk more about timeline. And let me tell you, it took only 3 in person meetings to finally get the dress I wanted! In just 3 months, Heather was able to provide me the perfect wedding dress which was tailored to my body and what I wanted. On the day of the wedding, I was told multiple times that the dress was the definition of who I was. And that’s all I wanted! As I said before, Heather is my fairy godmother and saved me from such a horrible situation! I can’t thank her enough for creating one of the most important pieces of my wedding and making me feel beautiful! I can’t recommend her enough and will forever talk about what you have done Heather! I’ve added some pics to give you a taste of her work!
