Amazing location! I have hosted and attended many events at The Skowhegan. The staff and management give special consideration to the hosts' goals, expectations, and vision. They make it seamless and easy. If you are looking for rural Maine charm, paired with the sights and sounds of the Kennebec River in a beautiful historic building, this is your place.

Our nonprofit recently hosted our 20th anniversary party at The Skowhegan, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The event space is beautiful, the food and drinks were excellent, and the staff made everything feel easy and welcoming. What really sets this venue apart is the setting. The outdoor spaces and views are some of the best in the region and provide an incredible backdrop for a celebration. The partnership with the Biergarten adds another great dimension to the experience, and having gorgeous hotel rooms right on site makes it especially convenient for guests. We’re so fortunate to have a space like this in Skowhegan. Whether you’re planning a wedding, anniversary, or other special event, The Skowhegan offers a combination of beautiful spaces, great hospitality, excellent food and drink, and a truly special Maine setting. We can’t recommend it enough!

The Skowhegan is a stunning wedding venue in Skowhegan, ME. Say your vows overlooking the Kennebec River, then walk your guests upstairs to a ballroom built for celebrating. Housed in a beautifully restored mill building in the heart of downtown Skowhegan, Maine, The Skowhegan gives you the rare combination of riverside romance and historic character, all in one place. Out-of-town guests can stay right on-site in our boutique hotel rooms, so the celebration doesn't have to end when the night does. We'll work with you to bring your day to life, from the first walkthrough to the last dance.
