This hotel is such a vibe! Staff is friendly, the breakfast was good, and the rooms are simple but clean and efficient. Did not use the pool but it looked great. It also has a bit of a retro vibe that seems very fitting to Palm Springs. It is a...

The Skylark Motel is a charming gem in a perfect Palm Springs location—close to everything yet peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds are great, and the stylish mid-century vibe adds to its appeal. The wonderful pr...
oprietor made us feel right at home with warm hospitality and helpful tips. Best of all, the pool and hot tub are beautifully maintained and open 24 hours, making it easy to unwind any time. We loved our stay and would absolutely come back!

Our second trip to the skylark with a resort pass. It’s very relaxing, quiet, music not over baring. Every time we have gone on a Sunday we have had the pool almost to ourselves. There is a good little cafe which has many options. We brought a...
small sitting float to use which was nice. Water and ice available for you. Towels available need to leave Drivers License. Bathrooms are the cleanest I’ve seen. This is our go to Sunday funday spot. Customer service was very friendly and accommodating.

Wow. A total delight in Palm Springs. Great staff, great location near Ricks and Billy Reed’s for your mid century PS delights. Beautifully redone vintage motel with all amenities. And it’s quiet and comfortable and safe

We booked the Superior Room which we were extremely disappointed with, as this room had not been updated. We thought the Superior Room would be better than the Deluxe Room, however we were mistaken, and it was the Deluxe Room that had been full...
y renovated. The furnishings in the room were OK, the bed was very comfortable, however the bathroom was dingy, the shower was small and cave-like and there was no counter space in the bathroom to place your medicine bag. The advertised blackout blinds were ineffective, especially as the rooms all face the 24 hour pool. The rooms didn't have keycard access and still took a physical key, which is annoying to carry around.
We were also disappointed that the pool bar was not open all weekend during our stay, due to being understaffed. There was a bar at the front of the building that you could purchase from and staff would bring it out to you by the pool. However, this was a bit awkward, as you had to walk to the bar, in your bathing suit, whilst patrons from outside the hotel were in everyday clothes.
The breakfast was underwhelming and staff were inattentive to the buffet and food and coffee quickly ran out. There were also no lighter breakfast options, such a fruit, yogurt or juice.
This hotel photographs well, but feels a little cheap in person. There are better hotels in the area for similar price.
