The Smoke Shack

. The team on site was prompt, accommodating, polite and very kind. We were very impressed with them. One team member even offered to plate meals for family members that were unable to walk through the buffet line which was unexpected and very kind to do. The food was phenomenal! And our guests were very happy with the quality and flavor of the food. We are very happy we decided to work with Smoke Shack, overall they did a great job!

sts raved at the food and we had nothing but compliments for a non-traditional wedding dinner menu. We chose to do family style to avoid lots of commotion with a buffet line. The biggest issue we had with Smoke Shack is that they served dinner 40 minutes late and did not bring out all the food at the same time. They brought out the coleslaw and the rest of the food didn't come out for another 25+ minutes. I went back to the kitchen multiple times and the first time (around 6:55), they told me "they were just about to serve", but food didn't come out until 7:10. Our guests didn't seem to be overly upset about any of this, but when everyone is on a specific timeline for the day, the delay was pretty significant. However, from what my guests have told me, there was plenty of food to go around and all of it was very excellent.

Smoke Shack's food is really what made our wedding stand apart from other weddings. Definitely worth the price and the food is flawless.

ght what could be better than BBQ! Smoke Shack was great when we went in for a tasting. If memory serves the tasting was free unlike a lot of other caterers and the pricing was comparable. We had a COVID wedding and had to make some last minute changes (8 days before the wedding) because our venue could no longer accommodate us. No problem! Smoke Shack just updated the location and adjusted their plan and delivered as promised. The food was great and the guests were asking for more. Highly recommend the KC Egg Rolls if you are going to get any appetizers! Thank you Smoke Shack!

We had decided early on that we were going to go the BBQ route with our guests, but in a family of foodies, quality matters. Our guests went to a lot of weddings the year we were married, and I can't tell you how many people came to us on the day of, and even AFTER it was months past, to tell us how delicious our food was ...especially by comparison. And it is no surprise to me! First, because their food is delicious, no question. And second, because the representatives we worked with to taste test/choose our menu were very upfront about their processes and the reasons they limit their catering menu. They do it because if it doesn't travel and serve up to their standards, they don't offer it! There are no surprises, so you can bet on excellence. I can honestly say our wedding meal was memorable in all the right ways. Fun Advice: We served their candied bacon during cocktail hour and it was a HUGE hit. They were gone before I even finished the receiving line! (So maybe ask them to set one aside for you ;) )

We have dined at Smoke Shack many times prior to our wedding day and we have always had great food, which is why we opted to have them cater our big day! We also had their sister company Holey Moley provide some doughnuts as part of our dessert table. Rave reviews from our guests on both the dinner and dessert!
