The family-owned studio specializes in private lessons to give you the attention and time you deserve as you hone your dancing skills. Angela has over 15 years of experience helping people feel happy and confident on the dance floor. She aims to create an entirely customized experience for each and every client, implementing her extensive knowledge of various styles, including classical, ballroom, and Latin dance. Whether you’re a dance enthusiast or are completely new to it, Angela loves to provide exactly what you need in a dance lesson. During your 45-minute dance lesson, you will have the studio all to yourselves, giving you the privacy to dance like nobody’s watching! This way, you have the most confidence when everyone is watching! The studio team is happy to provide guidance with your song selection if desired, and they also offer dance instruction to your family and guests. Angela Fernandez
Owner
It is my joy to help people feel more confident on the dance floor! With knowledge in a variety of styles including classical, ballroom and Latin dance, I truly aim to create a custom experience based on each individual’s needs. I also love being able to bring a wedding couple’s vision to life for their first dance. From the most classic and traditional to the most unique wedding dances, each experience is an exciting new opportunity to create something special with my clients. It is such an honor to be a part of someone’s dancing journey. Let’s get dancing!

Hi there, and welcome to The Social Dance Studio! While I currently perform and teach in the Chicagoland area, I am a Texas-born dancer with a Bachelor in Fine Arts and 12 years of multidisciplinary training. My passion for dance is ignited by making memories, creating art and providing joy to all that walk into the studio. Dance continues to be a meaningful form of expression in my life, and I can only hope to share that experience with each of you. Catch you on the dance floor!

Hola todos! I am Evelyn Sanchez, born and raised in Chicago. Former company dancer of Ensemble Español Spanish Dance theater, with a Masters in Education. By day I am an Elementary Dance teacher at a Chicago Public School. But by night I bring out all the Latin vibes to the dance floor. I strive to make all of your experiences safe, fun, and filled with laughs as we dance together at The Social Dance Studio. Vamos a bailar ! Let’s Dance!

Originally from Edinburg, Texas, I’m a Chicago-based dancer, choreographer, and teacher with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Performance and Choreography from Texas State University. I have a deep passion for movement and connection through dance, and I’m thrilled to join the incredible team at The Social Dance Studio. I believe dance should be both expressive and empowering, and I look forward to sharing that passion with everyone who steps onto the floor. Let‘s dance!

when Angela helped my husband execute the best dance move of all, getting down on one knee during our private lesson! Angela took the style of dance and moves that we loved and choreographed the perfect first dance for our wedding to our favorite Otis Redding song. We had so much fun practicing in studio and at home during our year-long engagement. Performing on our wedding day (and posing for many photos with our well-perfected dip) was one of my favorite moments of the day. Angela has become a friend and we are so grateful The Social Dance Studio opened up just blocks away from our old apartment when it did. While we live a bit farther away now, we can't wait to come back for dates nights in the future. We highly recommend taking lessons both for fun and to prepare for your first dance! Angela and her staff are so personable and can break down steps for any experience level. Schedule a group class with friends or book a private lesson. You won't regret it!
