to the bride who is overwhelmed with picking vendors. Since the Sonnet House offers in-house catering, florals, and coordination, it helps eliminate those big vendor decisions and leads you to feel more secure knowing they have full control over those. I never had to worry if my food would be late or my flowers wouldn’t match the venue. Overall, the experience and knowledge of this team is very evident from day one of wedding planning. It’s clear they love what they do and have perfected their craft over the years. Again, I can’t recommend the Sonnet House enough. They’re the dream team!

The venue itself is stunning. So many areas available for pictures, tables, etc. The house is gorgeous with all kinds of nooks and places to sit or stand. Unfortunately it was colder than we had hoped for so the reception had to be moved inside, but there were so many areas to gather in different buildings that it never felt crowded. The Chapel was wonderful and fit a lot of tables for people to sit at while eating. The outdoor ceremony spot was spectacular. The set-up for it was just perfect and will make for great pictures.
The staff was AMAZING. I was able to attend the last planning meeting before the wedding and Jared was awesome. He had every little detail documented and could quickly change things as needed. He was great at suggestions and quickly took care of every concern anyone had. He also worked with the couple to change parts of the menu after their tasting. I kept hearing about how great Ellen was and when I met her at the rehearsal dinner I realized just how awesome she was. Ellen was everywhere the day of the wedding. If anyone even uttered the name ‘Ellen’, there she was!! Any little question or problem was taken care of immediately. Same with Jared. They both seemed to be in 20 places at the same time and never stopped moving. The rest of the staff were just as attentive. Wasp in the house? Told someone and it was swiftly escorted outside within a minute. You could not turn around without seeing someone from the staff taking care of things. From guarding the cupcakes till the bride and groom had cut the cake, to telling the family we could get in line for the buffet early. There was someone guiding people around the entire night to make sure we didn’t miss anything. I had a list of things take home with me at the end of the night. Someone heard me talking and they said I could give them my car key and they would load it all up for me. And they did!! All the gifts, the grooms cake, the grooms clothes, etc. were all packed in our car for us. They saw me starting to pack up the pictures of the couple and they told me to go on and enjoy the party and they would do that for me. They were all top-notch at what they do and bent over backwards for us. My thanks to them for being so professional, quick, and on top of everything during what can be a chaotic time!
The food was amazing. Everyone was talking about how much they enjoyed it. The smoked gouda mac-n-cheese was unbelievable. And the beef tenderloin was so flavorful and moist. The mashed potato bar had the best mashed potatoes. With lots of yummy toppings. I heard many compliments on the food from others as well.
The flowers and decorations were stunning and were everywhere. They did such a good job with the florals. The lighting was superb at night. And they even lit a fire in the fireplace where the ceremony was held. I thought that was such a nice touch.
The bride told me several times that it was so much easier having the venue, florals, and catering all wrapped up into one package. Because the bride and groom were from out of town it made managing the meetings easier without having to coordinate with 3 separate vendors.
It was such a lovely wedding and could not have been any more perfect. The staff was the best I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend this venue to anyone.

They listen to your vision and provide professional advice that eases even the most type A bride's (me) stress. They take care of every detail and can recommend the best vendors in the business. When our wedding day finally arrived, we were able to let go and leave everything to them, and to say everything was a dream come true does not even begin to describe it. The food was delicious (guests have begged us for recipes); the florals were gorgeous, and all the small details were the perfect touch to who we are as a couple. The whole day went smoothy thanks to their advice on the timeline. We even got to eat a full meal alone after the ceremony while guests ate. The fireplace ceremony space was picture-perfect, and the reception was beautiful thanks to the string lights that provided the perfect ambiance. They even provided mist fans since our wedding was in August. They think of everything! And the cherry on top was the picnic basket of leftovers they packed for us to enjoy later. Throughout the whole planning process, if I had a question or concern, I could shoot them a quick email and receive a response in no time. Ellen would alway say "We got this," and they most certainly did. We are so happy to be a Sonnet House couple.

time and as soon as we met Ellen, Corey, Jared, and the rest of their staff, our stress completely vanished. Ellen and her team was beyond perfection in every sense of the word. She was so patient with Dalton, my mom, and myself as we talked about our wishes, wants, and dreams and even more patient as we finalized those decisions. From every detail to every question, this staff knew exactly what to do to make everything fall into place. By the time our wedding finally arrived, Dalton and I were able to fully enjoy our day and soak up every moment with our best friends and family. We got married on July 15th and so when the rain came, the staff remained so calm and kept me from freaking out too! They were so prepared and when it came time to decide if the ceremony was going to be inside or outside, the whole staff was on board to do whatever it took to make it perfect. Luckily the rain held off and we were able to get married on their fireplace ceremony location which was decorated BEAUTIFULLY. The food, flowers, decorations, and timeline of the day turned out more perfect than we could have ever imagined. After the ceremony, their staff had a private dinner ready for us and that was one of our favorite moments of the night. Being able to enjoy those newly married emotions together for a few minutes is something we will truly cherish. The reception was also a blast and Ellen's assistant, Mindy kept everything flowing. I hope everyone there had as much fun as we did! As we were loading up to leave, the staff made sure our car was packed and ready to go- along with a picnic basket of extra food. YUM. We are so so thankful we chose The Sonnet House for our ceremony and reception. If you want a highly professional team to help plan your wedding that is also a lot of fun to work with, book them right now. I truly enjoyed our wedding day with no stress and if we could live that day over and over again we totally would!

most helpful, kind and accommodating team. Ellen, Corey and Jared go above and beyond for each and every event at TSH. Whether I was emailing Ellen twice a day with questions, or calling her panicking because something last minute was falling through, she was always so patient and helped me with everything! Not only did they make the planning process so easy (especially from out of state), but they made my wedding day stress-free and it could not have gone better. The venue is breathtakingly gorgeous, and the florist, Corey, adds the most beautiful touches. He articulated my vision perfectly through the blooms and decor throughout the entire venue. Their in-house catering company has tons of menu options to choose from, and everything was delicious! I still think about the food from our wedding day, and am sad I didn't eat more of it! So many of our guests have commented that our wedding was one of the best they have ever attended, and I have to agree (even if I'm biased because it was my own). rt I knew that I had chosen the best fit for our wedding and knew that it would be amazing from start to end. Ellen, Jared, and Corey were wonderful and very responsive. They answered any question or concern I had, met with me on several occasions to go over plans for florals, food, seating, and other arrangements and were truly passionate in making our wedding day truly about us.
Our wedding day went without a single flaw. Rain in the forecast was no match for our day and The Sonnet House crew made sure that everything was prepped for both an indoor and outdoor ceremony in the event the rain held off. They had umbrellas under chairs ready to go in the event rain would start during the outside ceremony and had the MOH and BM fully instructed on what to do and how to get us inside without getting wet. Thankfully no rain occurred and we got to have our dream outdoor ceremony!
After the ceremony was over, Ellen made sure that all guests were taken care of and starting to get food as we finished pictures and went up to the grooms room to eat our first meal alone as a married couple. They made sure we had everything we needed to have an unwinding moment to just enjoy one another before we had to go and mingle for the remainder of the evening. The food was FANTASTIC! We enjoyed every bit of it! After eating we were escorted down for our first dance, followed by cake cutting, and then we were cut loose to dance with all of our guests. The entire day was flawless and I cannot thank The Sonnet House enough for the wonderful experience that we had for our wedding day and all the fun planning time before hand. They truly enjoy what they do and show their passion through each and everyone wedding they do.

And on top of everything, there is a reception hall which allows for indoor/outdoor combinations. We loved having our ceremony and reception all in one comfortable place so our guests would stay and have a great time.
