The Sonnet House

My son was recently married at The Sonnet House. I wasn’t as involved in the planning, but as a participant I have nothing but praise for this venue. Everything was absolutely amazing. The venue itself is stunning. So many areas available for pictures, tables, etc. The house is gorgeous with all kinds of nooks and places to sit or stand. Unfortunately it was colder than we had hoped for so the reception had to be moved inside, but there were so many areas to gather in different buildings that it never felt crowded. The Chapel was wonderful and fit a lot of tables for people to sit at while eating. The outdoor ceremony spot was spectacular. The set-up for it was just perfect and will make for great pictures. The staff was AMAZING. I was able to attend the last planning meeting before the wedding and Jared was awesome. He had every little detail documented and could quickly change things as needed. He was great at suggestions and quickly took care of every concern anyone had. He also worked with the couple to change parts of the menu after their tasting. I kept hearing about how great Ellen was and when I met her at the rehearsal dinner I realized just how awesome she was. Ellen was everywhere the day of the wedding. If anyone even uttered the name ‘Ellen’, there she was!! Any little question or problem was taken care of immediately. Same with Jared. They both seemed to be in 20 places at the same time and never stopped moving. The rest of the staff were just as attentive. Wasp in the house? Told someone and it was swiftly escorted outside within a minute. You could not turn around without seeing someone from the staff taking care of things. From guarding the cupcakes till the bride and groom had cut the cake, to telling the family we could get in line for the buffet early. There was someone guiding people around the entire night to make sure we didn’t miss anything. I had a list of things take home with me at the end of the night. Someone heard me talking and they said I could give them my car key and they would load it all up for me. And they did!! All the gifts, the grooms cake, the grooms clothes, etc. were all packed in our car for us. They saw me starting to pack up the pictures of the couple and they told me to go on and enjoy the party and they would do that for me. They were all top-notch at what they do and bent over backwards for us. My thanks to them for being so professional, quick, and on top of everything during what can be a chaotic time! The food was amazing. Everyone was talking about how much they enjoyed it. The smoked gouda mac-n-cheese was unbelievable. And the beef tenderloin was so flavorful and moist. The mashed potato bar had the best mashed potatoes. With lots of yummy toppings. I heard many compliments on the food from others as well. The flowers and decorations were stunning and were everywhere. They did such a good job with the florals. The lighting was superb at night. And they even lit a fire in the fireplace where the ceremony was held. I thought that was such a nice touch. The bride told me several times that it was so much easier having the venue, florals, and catering all wrapped up into one package. Because the bride and groom were from out of town it made managing the meetings easier without having to coordinate with 3 separate vendors. It was such a lovely wedding and could not have been any more perfect. The staff was the best I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend this venue to anyone.

Absolutely phenomenal! If you're looking for their info, they are on Wedding Wire more than The Knot, but wanted to leave a review here too. They were my caterers, florists, and venue and they are absolutely wonderful! Very easy to communicate with, and Ellen (one of the coordinators) has everything under control! I have no complaints from my November wedding. They also did a great job with everything and had it all planned so that the day of I didn't have to worry about a thing, which was so nice! Very attentive and organized.

There are not enough words to express how much we adore our wedding venue team! From day one, they were so helpful and fun! The planning meetings were such a dream and they captured our vision more than we could have ever expressed. We are so thankful! There was never stress or worry that something would not get done or taken care of. It was such a beautiful day with our friends and family, and we will forever be so happy that we chose to get married at The Sonnet House.

Everything about this venue was perfect! They handled the food and flowers which was great. They also have indoor and outdoor options for ceremony and reception. Everything was set up beautifully and I did not have to worry at all on my wedding day!
