With the help of The Sound Alternative Band, you can get both young and old folks having a fantastic time on the dance floor, showing off their best moves. These musicians boast many years of experience and have performed with several big names, including Ambrosia, Fleetwood Mac, Leslie Gore, The Tokens, The Spinners, and many more. At every event, they bring their A-game and state-of-the-art equipment to create a memorable celebration for all. Before your wedding begins, The Sound Alternative Band will set up their lighting and sound systems so they're ready to begin at the agreed time. To ensure that your big day schedule is kept on track, the band will also bring along an MC who will make the announcements and provide dance music during breaks. In addition, this band can perform an encore at no extra cost, giving your guests an authentic concert atmosphere.

Music has been my lifelong passion ever since I was 12 years old and bringing the excitement of live music to any event is paramount to who I am. We will ensure your wedding has everything you need, and is tailor made to your liking. Every detail, no matter how big or small, will be executed to perfection and your wedding will be the one everyone can’t stop talking about!

ed and ensures everything is perfectly organized well in advance. His communication is seamless—you never have to chase him down, and he promptly lets you know if he needs anything. The band itself is phenomenal. Their talent and professionalism are unmatched—I say this as someone classically trained and proficient on four instruments. The sound, tone, and volume are always spot-on—not too loud, not overpowering. They have an intuitive feel for what gets the crowd moving. While Motown is their specialty, their range is impressive. Our playlist included Motown, funk, classic rock, current hits, and even a few country and hip-hop songs, and they nailed every style. The band is also incredibly interactive and clearly enjoys performing, which makes the energy contagious. John did an excellent job as our MC, learning all the necessary names and roles ahead of time for reception announcements. For the ceremony, members of the band played traditional hymns beautifully, and John has a book of hymns available if you’d like. The add-on cost was very reasonable, and overall, the full package offers incredible value—especially for an 11-piece live band with their level of talent and professionalism. If you’re debating between a DJ or a live band, go with The Sound Alternative Band. The cost difference isn’t that significant, and live music truly elevates the entire experience—it’s the icing on the cake. People even commented on how I was on the dance floor all night—for literally hours on end—and I couldn’t resist because the music was just that good. We received so many compliments from our guests, and I know you will too. They also provide their own lighting setup, which looks amazing. I truly cannot recommend The Sound Alternative Band enough—they made our wedding unforgettable.

ic R&B/dance-band sound, and they bring a hip energy to modern pop music. The bandleader met with us in person, tailored everything to our exact preferences, and was also a great MC - all for half the price of other venders on this site!

We hired The Sound Alternative Band for BOTH of our daughters’ Weddings & we have only one word for them & that is FANTASTIC!!! This SUPER TALENTED band provided all types of music...
for every age group & you wouldn’t want to sit & listen… you wanted to get up & dance to every song. They will also MC by introducing the Wedding party or any ‘specials’ throughout the reception. A bonus is that they are super affordable compared to other bands with that many ‘pieces’. Check them out on their website…it will be one of the best decisions you will make for your special day. 😃

We had the Sound Alternative band play our wedding in June of 22. The band absolutely made the wedding amazing, and all of our friends and family talked about how much fun they had...
for months! The band sounded great and knew how to fill up the dance floor. The band leader, John, was very professional. Sat down with us to discuss exactly how we wanted everything to go in terms of the schedule. John was a great MC and helped move everything along throughout the night.

We attended a wedding where this band played. My husband and I hadn’t been to a wedding with a live band before, so we weren’t sure what to expect. I also was a little nervous for ...
the couple as the dance floor wasn’t very large. Needless to say, these guys delivered! That dance floor was packed. I was very impressed with the energy they brought and the mixture of songs they played. They had guests out on the dance floor the entire night. People were truly enjoying themselves, and these guys were a big reason why. The married couple are quite close to us, and were quite happy with the way the night turned out and the service that they received from The Sound Alternative. I’d say if you’re considering a live band, or know someone getting married, then this group would be a great addition. They made sure to keep the festivities on track as the MC for the night, but also made sure that everyone was having a great time.
