nd. Some personal tips for if you decide to choose this venue:
1. Hire your own wedding planner/day of coordinator. This venue offers someone to help you coordinate the day of but from experience, having someone of your own choosing can help keep things more organized, smooth, better communicated, and how you really desire them to be, without things being lost by the wayside; I wish I had brought in my own coordinator.
2. Be prepared to have to have everything cleaned up and out of the suites before the ceremony even starts. This was something that was not mentioned beforehand and as a bride already in your gown, hair and make up done, having to run around and try to clean things up and get everything out was not a fun experience and was not something anyone was aware of or prepared for beforehand. Cleaning/packing up after the wedding is NOT an option. Also, the suite was not super clean like one would think with a cleaning crew supposedly coming in to clean up after every wedding. A deep cleaning was definitely still needed.
3. As per above, knowing that you have to get everything out of the suites before your wedding, can help you to not forget and leave so many things behind. While it is your responsibility to make sure you take your things back home, the coordinator and staff there are not going to help you make sure that you haven’t forgotten anything. The ceremony items were not packed up or even mentioned to anyone to make sure that they weren’t forgotten before the end of the night.
4. There were times when no one could find the coordinator and there were multiple people/vendors that had been looking for her for an extended period of time. Which also reiterates why it would be helpful to have your own coordinator.
5. Don’t count on being able to use the hydrangeas as mentioned when booking this venue, they may or may not be in bloom and having your own flowers is the safest bet.
6. The upstairs ceremony space is a lot hotter and stuffier than the downstairs reception area. Not sure if there just isn’t AC available upstairs and/or it just isn’t able to be cooled well. There is also quite a bit of stairs that connect the upstairs and downstairs rooms so if you have someone who isn’t able to manage stairs well, there are not any handicap accessible ways to get to and from the upstairs and downstairs.
