John Adams
Owner
An accomplished acoustic and electric bassist, John Adams is one of the Southwest's most in-demand jazz, pop and studio musicians. He formed and has managed Special Edition since 2005. He holds two degrees from the University of North Texas, where he also served as the jazz bass professor for ten years. John has backed stars such as Mel Torme and Rosemary Clooney, Woody Herman, Randy Brecker, Joe McBride, Chet Baker, Clark Terry, Marvin Stamm and others. His broad musical background has also included extensive church, orchestral, and show work, including The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.
