We hired The Spotted Duck to bartend our ball this weekend. Unfortunately, they apparently interpreted “mobile bartending” to mean staying mobile enough that we could never actuall...

They didn’t show up. They didn’t call. They didn’t text. They didn’t communicate at all. Just completely ghosted us on the day of the event.
Fortunately, we managed without them, but leaving a customer scrambling at a major event with absolutely no communication is impressively unprofessional.
At some point Saturday night, “The Spotted Duck” naturally became The Spotted Dicks, which, given the circumstances, felt like the most accurate rebranding of the evening.
⭐️ One star, because zero apparently isn’t an option. Would not hire again. Mostly because we already tried hiring them once and they didn’t come.
⭐ If I could give zero stars, I would.
We booked this company for our Gala, secured the date, and paid the required deposit. We even confirmed with them two days before the event....
Everything appeared to be set.
Then the night of our Gala arrived, with over 100 guests in attendance, and guess who didn’t?
No show. No phone call. No message. No explanation. And when we tried to reach them? Ghosted. Completely.
There’s inconvenient, and then there’s taking a deposit, confirming the booking, and simply not showing up to a 100+ person event. That is a whole different level of unprofessional.

If you’re considering booking them for an important event, I’d strongly suggest having a Plan B, a Plan C, and perhaps a séance, because based on our experience, they may disappear when you actually need them.

Service was top notch. Andrea went above and beyond to stay within our budget. Bartenders were outstanding. I couldn't ask for a better outcome.
