My husband and I got married at The St. Regis in October of 2024. The ballroom, terrace, and lobby are all absolutely stunning. All 3 spaces are so unique and we fell in love with ...
them as soon as we stepped foot in the venue. We worked with Laila as our venue coordinator and she was absolutely phenomenal! She answered all of my questions promptly, asked us questions about the day that we didn't even think to consider, and was so incredibly kind throughout the planning process but ESPECIALLY on our wedding weekend. She greeted us and helped us check in the day before our wedding, was one of the first faces I saw on the morning of the wedding, and was tending to me all day (something way out of her job description).
On our wedding day, the food was phenomenal, the staff were all so kind, and the day ran smoother than I ever could have imagined. We cannot recommend The St. Regis enough!
From the beginning of booking the st regis Elisabeth was amazing to work with! Not one of our questions was left unanswered. Not only is the venue gorgeous but the staff is phenome...
nal and they’ll ensure you have the best day of our entire life!
We chose The St Regis because it offered the opportunity to cover venue, food, cake and a coordinator all in one place. It was a perfect choice. Not only is the location gorgeous...
(courtyard was awesome), but the staff was a joy to work with. They accommodated the re-scheduling of our wedding due to the pandemic with grace and professionalism. We had a small wedding of only 80 people and the set up was intimate and beautiful. All of this in the heart of DC. Everyone was very impressed with the coordination, location and the food. We even used one of the recommended florist to ensure the decorations would be perfect. I would highly recommend working with an experienced team and beautiful venue like The St Regis DC. It was the perfect place to say "I Do"!
Words cannot express my frustration with the St. Regis, DC. After communicating regularly with event staff, reaching a verbal agreement, and being ready to put down my deposit (3 m...
onths before my wedding), the staff ignored me for more than a month and forgot who I was.
After several initial calls and email exchanges with the Catering and Event manager during which he forgot our meeting times and my name (more than twice), I sent over my finalized plan for the event and was ready to pay after receiving a complete estimate. Our last exchange was on a Friday and the projected date to confirm our booking was the next Monday (3 days).
However, I was ignored for over a month by all members of staff that I had been in contact with. Despite my repeated efforts to communicate with the front desk and event staff, the Event and Catering manager was "unreachable". I eventually spoke to the General Manager of the hotel, who put me on the phone with the Event and Catering Manager within minutes. This demonstrated a severe lack of professionalism and communication within the hotel a the most basic level.
The Event and Catering Manager did not remember me or my event, even with prompting. He then called me back to ask that I resend ALL of our previous correspondence because he could not locate it in his inbox. About ten minutes later he called me back to tell me that he had finally located the many emails. This unprofessionalism was infuriating to someone who was merely a few months from the wedding date. I wish I could post email and phone records to verify the lack of competency of the entire St. Regis, DC staff.
We picked the St Regis for the location, the beautiful terrace, and the delicious cookies! It was perfect to be able to have our ceremony on the terrace and the reception in the ad...
joining ballroom, so that we didn’t have to worry about providing directions to out of town guests. We got a lot of positive comments about the dinner - especially with how good the dinners that were made specifically to accomodate guests with allergies.
Most of the planning we coordinated with Elisabeth, who is absolutely fantastic! Unfortunately she was out on personal leave in the immediate lead up and we ended up working with her boss Martin. Martin was very nice but you could tell he was over his head trying to cover for Elisabeth. We were a little frustrated in our communications with him - we struggled to even get them to charge our payment on time and it was difficult to get things in writing to make sure we were all on the same page. There were a few smaller things that weren’t quite set up how we had asked and the wrong wine was briefly served, but overall our guests were extremely complimentary of the venue and didn’t notice any hiccups.
I have nothing but positive things to say about Elisabeth Thomas and her team at the St Regis DC! Our wedding day was stress free, beautiful, and simply so much fun. Elisabeth was ...
very organized, easy to work with, and honestly made me feel at ease. She communicated with our vendors and even our wedding party so I didn't have to going into the week of the wedding. But I think the high level of service can really be defined by one moment... After our first dance, my sweet now-husband stepped on the back of my train and tore my bustle. I told Elisabeth and next thing I know, she has a needle and thread and actually sews my dress and fixes my bustle so I can continue to dance the night away! Highly recommend her and The St Regis DC!
Unbelievable--start to finish!

s met with the dilemma of planning a Washington wedding from a far distance. Having experienced a few stays at the St. Regis Washington DC, as well as my sister’s wedding, I knew that the decision would be an easy one. As always, the St. Regis has not disappointed. Given its reputation, you expect great food, nice service, and quality accommodations, but you are met with so much more. The St. Regis Washington DC provides a truly incredible experience from start to finish, whether it is for a weekend visit, business stay, or large event. They have outfitted their staff with only the best from Hotel Management, to restaurant team members, and, of course, their wonderful bellmen and doormen.
Martin Keeney has been a critical component of that experience for me. He is truly magnificent, providing a level of service that is unmatched, as well as a serving as a source of guidance throughout the process. His exquisite taste, creative eye, and thoughtful edge make him the key component in their catering and events department. We recently completed our menu tasting for the wedding and the process did not disappoint (as we knew it wouldn’t). Martin worked with their renowned Chef and Pastry Chef to create not only a pleasurable dining experience, but one that was reflective of my fiancé and me, as well as our life experiences individually and together. Martin took pieces of information from our countless hours of conversation and has intertwined them into thoughtful details of our wedding day. I know, much to Martin’s efforts, that our wedding day will be reflective of both of our personalities, while creating a one-of-a-kind for our friends and family.
As though their incredible staff isn’t enough, their lobby, restaurant, bar, and exterior have been beautifully designed and furnished to create an exquisite and welcome environment. Each time I visit the hotel, I make a point to sit in the lobby and enjoy the lovely design, or a glass of wine at the bar, and even something from their scrumptious menu at Decanter. I can’t say enough about this establishment and their thoughtful team, which is unparalleled in service and kindness. I am so confident in all of their abilities, knowing that our wedding weekend will go off seamlessly.
Alicia Bell, the events coordinator was amazing!! She made our day perfect, completely stress free, and all about us. At first I felt like the communication was slow back and fort...
h, but once it got within a couple of months, everything was taken care of. I had no doubts that everything would be perfect and it was.
One of my guests Spilled red wine On the front Of my dress 2 minutes after the ceremony and Alicia ran inside while I was standing outside. She got something to clean it and she cleaned it while I was standing there smoking. She was so great I can't say enough. I wouldn't have changed anything, the cake and food were delicious, my guests are still talking about it months later. The entire property is gorgeous inside and out, the service was impeccable, and the suite they gave us was beautiful!! Every bride deserves to be treated this way on their wedding day.
While I was planning my ceremony, the event coordinator at the St Regis changed, but the transition was great. I never felt forgotten! The last minute changes were fluid and easy, ...
and every need was attended to!
