However it did seem like the closer we got, the less accommodating they were, or the more things had to be changed because of the way they “usually” do things. I feel like I found out or was made aware of certain details very last minute. I’m not sure if those details were in the contract or not to be honest, but it wasn’t like I was reading the contract every single day so I felt blindsided a couple times. At any rate, during the rehearsal and especially the day of, Janet really was phenomenal. The day before, we were waiting for a long time for the groomsmen to show up before giving up and going ahead with the rehearsal. Janet and our officiant Michael DiMatteo were very understanding. On the day, everyone came together to put the décor up. I felt like I blinked, and everything was done. One of our guests had a medical emergency during cocktail hour, and our reception was held up by almost an hour. I had a dress change, so my husband and I were waiting in the bridal suite the whole time. We had no idea anything was wrong until we saw the emergency vehicles. In fact, some of the guests that were sitting right next to the guest in question had no idea. The situation was dealt with very discreetly. Janet kept us calm and happy for the entire night. She worked extremely hard to make everything perfect! My one big negative point was that the groomsmen were able to drink before the ceremony. They showed up late, and immediately went to the bar. Other guests were allowed into our reception space early because of this, so the wow factor was not there. Amy had told us the doors would be closed to guests, but we had a few friends come early to help set up. I do not blame Bluemont or Savoir Fair entirely for this, but in the future the bartender should have more common sense. I don’t think bride and grooms should have to explicitly say “do not serve anyone pre-ceremony.” If anyone should be able to drink – it’s the couple anyway! Again, this was mostly in part to the useless groomsmen. I am also a little annoyed that we were forced to use Savoir Fair and the food was average. If you are only offering one option for a caterer, they should be phenomenal. Also, I had to use my flower girl’s bouquet for the toss, because someone had misplaced the toss bouquet. Overall, I am very happy with Janet and Bluemont. We had a gorgeous wedding. I really do feel like I had my dream wedding and my vision was brought to life perfectly.

Amy gave us an outline of things to think about, asked insightful questions to help direct our planning, and provided us with suggestions for wonderful vendors in our price range that we could pick from. She was so organized, helpful, and responsive. It made the process so much easier. I honestly don't know how we would have done it without her! The caterer, Savoir Faire, was also wonderful to work with. The food tasting was my favorite part of the planning process. The food was absolutely delicious on our wedding day! All of our guests commented how good the food was, definitely way better than your typical wedding meal! For the actual day of our wedding, everything went perfectly! We had Rachel as our wedding day-of coordinator and she did a wonderful job! Everything ran smoothly and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Bluemont took care of the décor set up and take down for us and everything looked perfect! They made our lives so much easier and we could not have been happier with how our wedding day turned out! Bluemont was the perfect venue! Our guests were blown away by the view and the atmosphere. We could not have been happier with how our wedding went. It was everything we had hoped for and that was due to the beautiful venue and view at Bluemont as well as their amazing staff!! I would recommend Bluemont a thousand times over!

has an extreme commitment to making your event perfect. From the very beginning we knew we were in good hands with Amy and her (enormous) checklist to keep us on track. The caterer Bluemont partners with was incredible, gave us a great tasting and the actual dinner came out even better. For weeks we heard from our friends and family how wonderful the food was. It seemed the biggest hit was the vegetarian/vegan option they provided. Amy also recommended great flowers, bakeries, and DJs in the area. We ran into a situation with work where we needed to move the date of our wedding up by six months and with only two month’s notice. Amy jumped on a call with us immediately and assured us that she could make it happen. She completely came through on her promise. She walked through each and every detail (things we could have never thought of) with us and made sure we kept up with a shortened timeline. We would have never been able to pull off the gorgeous wedding without her. When comparing Bluemont to other venues in the area, it is a bit on the more expensive side, but it is totally worth it. The price includes a coordinator to help through the entire planning process and on the day of the event. The experience they bring with them is priceless. At every chance Amy helped us figure out ways to cut costs and keep everything manageable. This team cared enough about taking care of us, that as we left, we were told they had put dessert bags in the limo for us. This was an attention to detail I do not think we would have gotten anywhere else.

We were able to pull off an outdoor ceremony despite on and off rain showers throughout the afternoon--but the backup plan would have been just fine as the porch area/veranda is really cute and has good framing for photos. We had so many compliments from our guests about how stunning the views were outside and how beautiful the indoor space was for the reception. I would definitely recommend this venue to others. wineries in the area do not have a separate event space, which means your wedding is taking place in their tasting room and can’t start until much later in the day. Having a separate wedding/event space was a huge plus. While we didn’t get married at Bluemont (we had a church wedding) the views are incredible and make a beautiful backdrop for your ceremony. We loved the historic, rustic feel of the Stable. I love that we didn’t have to “decorate” the space – the views, stone floors, and high ceilings were enough. The space is private and secluded – you feel like you're on your own mountain with just you and your guests. Also….very important…air conditioning. We looked at barn-type venues that did not have A/C and that wasn’t going to fly for our June wedding. The Staff: Amy, Debbie and the team are the BEST! From our first planning call with Amy, I knew we would be in good hands. She helped keep us on track and was always available for our questions. I am so grateful to have had Amy’s insights and expertise. Her advice was invaluable! I never thought I would need a planner or coordinator…but it was SO helpful. The day of we could just relax and enjoy time with our family/friends– Amy had everything under control. I can’t imagine our day without her. The Food: The exclusive caterer, Savior Fare, is top notch! The service was incredible – they took such good care of us and our guests. Everyone commented on how delicious everything was. We loved the tasting and found it hard to choose which delicious meal we were going to serve. A lot of brides and grooms say they didn’t get to eat at their wedding….well that was not the case for us! My husband and I got served first and we ate everything on our plates and more! We also loved having the family-style option. The Wine: The wine is amazing. Seriously…some of Virginia’s best! My Husband and I have visited many of the local wineries and Bluemont’s wines are at the top of our list. The Farm Table Red and White are perfect wedding wines and our guests loved them. I was actually bummed we didn’t have more leftover, haha (cause the team helped us order the appropriate number of cases for our guest count). We also loved being a part of the Wedding Wine Club! Thank you Bluemont Vineyards for making our special day so special!

From guiding us on what to get done and when, to the day of where they took care of all the essentials without us having to worry over any of the details. The staff were wonderful, sweet, and attention-focused. We were uncertain if the wedding would be outside due to rain but they dried all seats and had us ready to go just in time. We felt completely cared for and are so thankful. Even when it came to our specialty mead being drunk entirely, Amy set a bottle aside so that we could enjoy it and not miss out. The organization was out of this world and they worked well with all of our vendors. I'd suggest this venue to anyone. Also, if you're looking for a foliage-heavy autumn wedding, try the first week of November! The leaves are perfectly colored at that point of the year.

ago!! When we first visited, Debbie was absolutely wonderful. She took Dave and I around the facility, explained the process to us, answered all our questions, and made us feel calm during such a busy wedding planning season. We loved that the Stable was "an all in one" venue (meaning that with our contract they took care of the venue, catering, tables, linens, flatware, stemware, event and day of coordinator etc.), and we loved that the venue was private and separate from the public tasting room. We were able to relax knowing that with Bluemont's help all these details would be taken care of. When it came to the food, Savoir Fare was absolutely delicious. We had such a fun time at the tasting and were able to tweak a few things here and there to accommodate our tastes and our guests. When it came to all the fine details (table linens, numbers, wedding insurance, etc.) Amy, our event and day of coordinator, was 100% a God send. She kept us on track, was very organized, and is absolutely amazing at what she does. She made sure Dave and I didn't worry about a thing on our wedding day and was so much fun to work with the entire time. As was noted by so many of our family members and our Pastor, she is the BEST wedding planner/coordinator we've come in contact with, and we are so thankful she was apart of our special day!!!! When it comes to the wine, I mean, come on now--Bluemont wines are great. When it came to the venue--Absolutely. Breathtaking. The twinkle lights and ceiling draping made it so romantic and the barn feel gave it that right touch of rustic and down to earth. And last but certainly not least--That. View. That view is what put us over the top; that was the icing on the cake. Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful and the pictures are stunning. On the wedding day itself and since, all of our wedding guests RAVED about our ceremony, the view, the food and the venue. Again, it is still SO surreal that we were able to get married at such a beautiful, breathtaking venue with amazing owners and staff who felt like family when all was said and done. Most importantly, our wedding planner Amy, who was also our wedding coordinator, was beyond essential for planning this wedding. I don't know what I would have done without her. She is the best, she will take care of you because she is committed and genuinely cares about you and your wedding. I can't recommend Bluemont enough. We have always wanted a vineyard wedding, but so vineyard venues are mixed in with the public and there is absolutely no privacy. The BEST part of Bluemont, is the wedding venue is absolutely separate from the wine tastings and other busy public spots. Cannot recommend this venue enough!

Getting married with the mountain view behind us was pretty legendary. We worked with Debbie, Amy and lastly, Jenny who was our Day Of Coordinator. All three of these women are absolutely amazing and come with years of experience and knowledge. I can't say enough good things about Jenny. She not only navigated through all of my families quirks, but my own. I was nervous to relinquish all of my decorating ideas, but Jenny went ABOVE & BEYOND! There were things that I would have never thought to have done. She honestly made the day the most amazing experience. Everything went off without a hitch and was better than I had ever even imagined. My family loved the all inclusive nature of the venue. They took care of absolutely everything. They had answers and suggestions for everything and were incredibly responsive whenever we had questions outside of our scheduled meetings. Having had my wedding at The Stable makes me want to get married all over again.

We lived more than an hour from the venue, but they were quick to respond to emails and phone calls. But, most importantly, they have Wonder Woman on their payroll, posing as her alter ego Jenny, the day of coordinator. We had an unexpected guest at our wedding in the form of Hurricane Joaquin, but Jenny quickly set us as ease, improvising on the spot to make sure everything kept running on schedule and that none of us got wet. In the end, the ceremony felt intimate and personal and we keep forgetting that it even rained that day. Jenny kept everything running smoothly and only appeared to make sure my wife and I had everything we needed. In short, she was wonderful. This was my favorite wedding I've ever been to, partly because it was mine. But, as many guests have told us, we weren't the only ones with this opinion. This is due in no small part to Debbie, Amy, Jenny, and the rest of the staff at Bluemont who run a tight ship in one of the most beautiful vineyards in the country. Amy was so helpful. She allowed us the freedom of not worrying about anything. She was professional, organized, and great at giving just the right advice we needed. On the day of the wedding, the service was impeccable. It ended up being so hot, but ice cold water and hors d'oeuvres were waiting for us as we exited the ceremony. In addition to that, if anything at all didn't go as planned I had no idea. Amy handled everything for us. It was amazing, and we feel so blessed to have found Bluemont Vineyard. We will be back for more wine!

She was able to pull all of my little DIY decorations together in ways I wouldn't have been able to do and made everything look beautiful - trust me, she's done A LOT of weddings, so if you get to work with her you are in good hands! The cost of booking Bluemont is a little high compared to other places we looked at, but the quality and professionalism of the services you receive is well worth it in the end! Overall, everything went off without a hitch (at least that I know of!) and our guests could not stop raving about how stunning the venue was and what a great time they had! A few items to note: -Bluemont requires you use their caterer; I heard lots of compliments about the food though! -You must purchase their wine but you can bring in whatever beer or liquor you want. The price of the venue, linens, food was about the same as other venues in the area, and being able to buy our own alcohol (aside from wine) was very helpful to the budget! -There is a bridal room that is comfortable for the bride to get dressed in, but it is upstairs and there is no bathroom upstairs. -You must purchase insurance and an ABC license, but those were 2 of the easiest things to do in the wedding. -There are at least 3 hotels in leesburg that will provide shuttle service to Bluemont if you have sufficient # of rooms booked in My day of coordinator (provided by the venue) was so easy to work with and gave me confidence that the day would go off without a hitch. (I also had a private coordinator who worked with Bluemont.) everything made it back to the hotel that night without me having to worry about it, because the day of coordinator makes sure all your personal items and gifts are loaded into a designated guest's car. My husband was hesitant that the dance floor was too far away from some of the tables and in an awkward spot, but it worked out just fine. I also ended up using a decorator recommended by the venue, and I think that was one of the best decisions we made! There were so many unique touches to the wedding that complimented the rustic environment. All in all. I couldn't have asked for a better venue!

We had great weather on the day of our wedding, but loved having our reception indoors with AC- and could also be a back-up location in case of rain for the ceremony. The bridal suite on the second floor with the balcony was also a plus it was the only vineyard we looked at that had a big private space for the bridal suite. You can't choose your own caterer which is why I didn't give a 5 for flexibility, but I can assure you won't want to, the food by Savoire Fare is amazing. The team at Bluemont is professional, friendly, and incredibly responsive. Some brides might find it confusing to have several people working on your account, but I appreciated knowing that there was a team who was familiar with our wedding so that when a staff change did happen I never had any doubts that our wedding planning was in jeopardy. Our day of coordinator was Amy Thunell and she is fantastic. She had everything organized and under control so that on the day of our wedding I didn't think about anything except enjoying our day. As a super organized person I appreciated the timeline so I knew when I needed to schedule appointments or send payments. A list of preferred vendors is provided; we ultimately chose a baker, officiant, and photographer from that list. You must purchase their wines for your wedding, but you can bring in beer and liquor. The paper lanterns and twinkle lights let the charm of the venue shine through. The rental fee is on par with other venues in the DC area. You do have to pay extra for chairs, linens, etc...but we appreciated the ease of working w/our planner to choose those items instead of bringing all of that in ourselves. We are thrilled that Bluemont was the site of our wedding and plan on visiting often!

Something to note: Bluemont is about 20 mins from downtown Leesburg, so a bit of planning is necessary for day-of logisitcs (i.e getting ready, guest shuttles, etc.).

They supply wedding coordinators to help with the event timeline and details. We worked with Beth and she was very gracious in answering my numerous emails about menu changes and budget questions. She was also super efficient and effective in organizing the rehearsal, and coordinating with all the vendors for the ceremony and reception. Our guests and bridal party all had nothing but compliments for Beth and the rest of Bluemont.

Bluemont instantly stood out, as it provides a building large enough for our guest count, and beautiful scenery. The stable, while somewhat rustic, also provides the opportunity for you to really choose how to decorate. There are very few permanent fixtures that you are required to work around, such as drapery or carpets like most other venues have. Our coordinator Berthica was amazing to work with. She helped with guidance for the day of details and timeline, and encouraged me to embrace all of the ideas that I had. She was able to offer suggestions, but did not try to alter my vision of the day. We brought in a lot of DIY details, and when my family arrived to set up on the morning of our wedding they were surprised to find that Berthica had already taken care of most of the set up. She was quick to respond to emails and answer questions, and she made sure the details of our day went off without any major problems. Another perk of Bluemont Vineyard is that you are required to use their onsite catering, thus eliminating an additional vendor that we would need to find. The food is delicious, and they use many ingredients that are local, or that they grow. They were willing to provide special plates for me, as I don't eat beef or pork products. We provided a late night snack of beef sliders for our guests, and Chef Terri even surprised me with a plate of veggie sliders, which I had not requested. The staff at Bluemont really helped pull our dream day off, and I couldn't have chosen a better venue.
