The Stone Barn at Sebago Lake is situated on an 18-acre farm on Saint Joseph’s College’s 474-acre campus in Standish, Maine. Following its deep commitment to sustainability, wellness, and the local economy, the College completed renovation of its historic barn—part of the property’s original Verrill estate—in June of 2016 and began offering it as a premier event destination in the region. When it’s not hosting weddings or corporate events, you may find entrepreneurs and agricultural and food system policy makers gathered there.
The Stone Barn and its courtyard accommodate up to 175 guests from June through mid-October. A lighted trail leads to the private beach shoreline of Sebago Lake on the Saint Joseph's of Maine college campus. This site is truly unique and beautiful through every Maine season.

Meg, Tess, and Cat are nothing short of amazing. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to every single detail made us feel so supported throughout the entire planning process. On the day of, the entire staff went above and beyond — they anticipated every need, handled every transition flawlessly, and somehow made everything feel effortless.
The food was one of the biggest highlights of the night — our guests are still raving about it! And the bartenders? Truly the life of the party. They brought such great energy and personality to the evening, and everyone adored them.
What made The Stone Barn so special for us is that it felt so us. We never imagined we’d get married in a barn — I’ve never been drawn to the typical rustic aesthetic — but The Stone Barn is something entirely different. It’s timeless, refined, and full of understated elegance, all while still embracing that quintessential Maine charm that means so much to us.
It’s hard to put into words how special this place is. The Stone Barn isn’t just a venue — it’s an experience, a feeling, and a team of people who genuinely care about making your day unforgettable. We couldn’t recommend it more highly and will forever be grateful for the memories we made there.

g coordinator is included which was sooo helpful. Having a trained expert by our side made the entire wedding planning process a breeze. We wouldn’t have been able to pull it all off without Victoria! She’s the absolute best. The barn is drop dead gorgeous and surrounded by the beautiful Sebago Lake. What else do you need?! The chefs are extremely talented and willing to customize your menu. Our guests are still raving about the food. The entire staff was so kind and helpful. I could go on and on but to be short-if you’re looking for a wedding venue. Stop looking & book this ASAP! I promise...you DO NOT want to miss out on this opportunity! They made our dream wedding a reality.
