Decided to have my wedding here—using the barn as the main venue. Overall, my wedding was amazing and things went very smoothly day-of the wedding (although I believe that was most...
ly due to my coordinator). We had specifically asked the venue for 2 buffet lines but we only got one. The problem with that was the barn is 2 stories - in terms of flow and speed of people getting food 2 buffet lines would have been better which is why our wedding coordinator had asked for 2. The catering was absolutely incredible—both the food and the staff were wonderful. Many guests commented on how good the food was & that it was hot. The chef was fabulous! Our bartender was top notch as well. I will say though, this venue definitely has some issues they need to figure out—and while I had great wedding, I don’t know if I would recommend this as a great wedding venue.
For starters, there is no getting-ready space here. While the hotel does have larger suites—they are not that big and would allow a very few amount of people to get ready. The bathrooms in the rooms are also kind of weird and there’s not much privacy—which is also a hard sell if you have family/friends wanting to stay there and share rooms. For my wedding, we ended up getting an Airbnb to get ready in as there was no way we would all fit. There is also not a great place for the wedding party to be prior to the wedding. There are outside spaces & the clubhouse but beware if the weather is cold or raining you have a problem as not much is covered.
Room booking for the hotel (for traveling guests) was also quite frustrating. The system they use for room blocks doesn’t work most of the time (we had a lot of people who had to call to book) and the main employee over this was very unprofessional/rude when we tried to ask questions about these glitches/how the room blocking worked (and we only asked because we had literally never dealt with that kind of thing before so we just were confused).
We also had other issues beyond this leading up to the wedding with coordinating/working with some of the other employees/Stonebreaker. Anyone who has had to plan a wedding knows how many details there are—and trying to get a hold of our main contacts here to discuss all the details was quite difficult. They aren’t super great about answering the phones—email is the main way they communicate which can mean longer response times. The first employee we met with to tour the venue was amazing—after that we mostly worked with another employee who I think was still pretty new at this job and it unfortunately showed. When we later increased our headcount (which was allowed—it just meant the contract had to be updated), I had to constantly re-check and correct the contract because extra numbers and charges were added. That would be my main advice with this venue: double check everything in the contract before signing to make sure the charges are indeed correct.
Amazing! Helped with anything. We’re very attentive throughout the whole weekend.
Beautiful location, good size for large or small weddings, couldn’t ask for more
The venue is gorgeous. Everything about it was beautiful. We had our ceremony on the back patio of the Inn, and then our reception inside the Magnolia Room and outside on the patio...
. We booked all the rooms the night before and the night of and they are AMAZING! It was so perfect getting to stay there after the rehearsal dinner and the night of the wedding. They allow pictures to be taken whenever for no extra charge (engagements, bridals, etc.) if you book the venue for your wedding. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I loved it! We will likely be returning for our one year anniversary!
We rented it out all weekend for some of our guests and had the rehearsal dinner here! It was perfect! The rooms are SO nice and the venue was so pretty for the rehearsal dinner!
Pratt Place is so, so beautiful. I loved using it and being able to use the entire venue. The only thing I didn't like, is you basically are only paying for the venue. They have ch...
airs and tables for 120 people and that's it- so you have to rent the rest from somewhere else. I also didn't like that you have to pay for a hotel room in the Inn to use one of their rooms to put your dress on (their rooms to get ready in are kind of ugly). The service was great though, ask for Jordan when you're needing help with things- she's awesome. Overall, I'm so glad I got married there :)
I loved everything about Pratt Place. The staff was so accommodating leading up to the wedding and even more so the day of. The venue itself is beautiful and made the best wedding ...
pictures. At first I was concerned with the price of the venue but when I compared apples to apples what was included at each place, and factored in that we could bring our own alcohol at Pratt this actually turned out to be one of the more budget friendly options.
I cannot say enough good things about the people that work there either. The day of our wedding at the Barn there was another wedding at the Inn, but the staff still did a great job making me feel special and took care of every last thing I needed.
We got 100% of our security deposit back and it was mailed while we were still on our honeymoon. As long as you read the policy there's nothing weird to make it hard to get your money back. Basically take out all your trash.
I wholeheartedly recommend Pratt Place Barn. The people are amazing and the venue is amazing.
Pratt Place had the perfect venue for our wedding. We couldn't get married in the warmest of months, so we chose to get hitched in a barn - which gave us the feeling of having an ...
outdoor wedding (what we originally wanted), but with the warmth of the indoors in cold November! The barn has high lofted ceilings, and there is a long window in the back of the barn that makes the entire place reminiscent of a cathedral (quite beautiful if you ask me). We set up the chairs that made a really long aisle for me to walk down (adds a dramatic effect) and I walked through the big barn doors at the back. It was lovely (though quite all over my head when it was happening), and the staff made sure everything was set up and available to me on my special day. woohoo for pratt place!
It was a beautiful wedding. The only issues I had was a wedding scheduled the same day with in view of my wedding we could hear the sound checks for their music during my wedding. ...
Also the desk clerk answered the phones during the ceremony. It was very costly for the amenities that came with the venue.
I absolutely loved the location of my wedding! The day of the wedding I had the exact feel that I was going for. The venue was big enough for all of my guest yet it still had an in...
timate feel to a smaller wedding. Great for a unique twist and rustic theme but still elegant. It was over my budget and expensive! I would say overall it was worth the cost because you can go simple or extravagant. I did not see anyone from Pratt places staff the day of the wedding to help me. But I also had a coordinator who may have taken care of that business. The rooms are beautiful as well! They even let the horses be out for display for no charge the day of :)
My husband and I loved this venue for our wedding. We got married outside in a beautiful little, secluded cove and then had the reception inside the barn. All of our guests enjoyed...
themselves and the venue as well. We would definitely recommend this venue for anyone's wedding. We actually got married on a weekday because the price was only about $1000 during the week as opposed to $5000 on the weekend. The service could have been a little better, but other than that everything was perfect.
Pratt Place Inn and Barn is a gorgeous setting any time of the year. We used the dining room and terrace of the inn. The price is okay, but you don't get anything but the space. Yo...
u must still provide everything else (tables, chairs, etc.) The venue is so lovely on its own, you don't need to do much in the way of decorations or covering of the space.
I took my bridal pictures at Pratt and had free reign of public spaces at no charge, but it was an additional charge to do our rehearsal for an hour.
I loved the dining room and terrace for my wedding (ceremony and reception). We had about 75 guests, a buffet dinner, DJ and dance area, and tables for everyone and had plenty of space. Too many more guests, though, and the space may have been too cramped.
Pretty good service, able to decorate how we wanted. Had some trouble with the key system to the bride/groom room at the Inn and had to move room within 2 hrs of wedding. Put us ...
a little behind on taking bride pics and video. Would recommend this location to ANYONE that wants a beautiful place to have a wedding a reception. They get booked up so plan ahead to get this great venue.
The Pratt Place Barn was the perfect location for our wedding. We had the ceremony outside and the reception in the barn. There was plenty of room for everyone with tables upstairs...
and downstairs.
The location is BEAUTIFUL and all my guests gushed about the uniquiness. But you pay a lot to use the space from ONLY 8 a.m. to 6 a.m. Which means you have to have someone there t...
o clean up at the end of your event or you end up staying there like we did :( They do not provide staff to help coordinate vendors or provide ideas. However, if you have a wedding planner I guess they would be there for that.
Stunning. Pricey but if you're looking for rustic, "less is more" is very simple and elegant. Everything feels romantic and intimate.
We recently held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Pratt Place Inn and had a wonderful experience. The events coordinator, Claire, is such a pleasure to work with. We had a...
pproximately 200 guest, and held our ceremony on the inn patio, and reception in the magnolia dining room, on the inn porch, patio, and lawn. The inn truly is a beautiful place for a wedding. The guest rooms at the inn are also incredible. We stayed at the inn the night of the wedding, which was so nice to not have to leave the premises. Overall, we had a wonderful experience working with Pratt Place Inn and Barn.
This was a beautiful place, but was very muddy on my wedding day due to the rain.
