We used Bushel & Peck for our couple’s turned engagement shoot and for our wedding. Everything from planning our package, creating the timeline, the day of and getting our pictures was perfect. Hope was so professional and everyone has been in awe of our pictures. I didn’t love the initial editing style I selected and they were insanely quick about sending sneak peeks with a different style for me to see and I ended up loving it. I highly recommend them.

Cana is not only an incredible photographer, but a beautiful soul. While narrowing down wedding photographers, we were drawn to Cana’s knack for capturing natural beauty. My husband pointed to Cana’s website and said something to the effect of, “that’s the one.” After we found out the good news that she was available for our wedding date, the rest is history!! We selected a wedding photo package with her that included a separate engagement shoot, as well as a second photographer on the day of the wedding. With the hustle and bustle of our life down in Orlando, FL, we weren’t able to schedule the engagement shoot with her until about a month before our wedding. We instantly bonded with Cana. Instantly! I’ve never been good with posing for photos (I usually end up making a silly face), but her talent to make us both feel relaxed while capturing some really beautiful moments is a true gift. She’s so fun to be around, and had some great ideas for my indecisive self. I thought, if the engagement shoot was any indication of our wedding day, it surely confirmed that we picked the perfect photographer for us. I get emotional looking back at our wedding photos because not only did she capture the photos that we posed for, but she was able to capture SO many beautiful candid moments throughout the entire day. I loved having a second photographer along with Cana, too. Martin beautifully captured photos of everyone during our cocktail hour while the wedding party was taking photos. I had no idea that was even happening — and I’m so glad to be able to preserve those moments! While we’re over the moon with our wedding photos, we’ll be forever thankful for the artist (artists — Martin, as well!!) behind the cameras!

I’m Cana Dunlap (pronounced kay-nuh). As the Manager and Lead Photographer at The Storyhouse Collective, I have the privilege of leading an incredible team of photographers who share my passion for capturing love stories. I truly love mentoring and supporting our team as we work together to give each couple the best experience possible—from their very first inquiry to the moment they’re holding their wedding photos in their hands. For over 15 years, I’ve been a full-time wedding photographer, and helping couples plan and capture one of the most important days of their lives still feels like such an honor. I’m here to guide you every step of the way—whether it’s building your timeline, calming pre-ceremony jitters, or making sure every moment (big and small) is documented with care. When I’m not behind the camera, I’m a single mom to three incredible kids, and you’ll usually find us adventuring around Charleston—exploring beaches, chasing sunsets, and soaking up every bit of this beautiful place we call home. Photography is so much more than a job to me—it’s about connection, celebration, and telling your story in the most genuine way. I want to be more than just your photographer. a few months leading up to the wedding date from found and thrifted objects and were super specific about the way things were going to look on the big day. By the time we got everything finished and pieced together, we were worried we wouldn't be able to find someone who understood the aesthetic we were going for. Cana came in and immediately understood the look we wanted and had such valuable input on the way the photos were going to look. veryone (including ourselves) were out of towners from Buffalo, NY. It took a lot of searching to find a photographer online, and once I settled on Cana based on her gorgeous online portfolio, all I could do was hope it all worked out. I was so happy with how quickly Cana responded to every email and answered every question I had cheerfully and quickly. The day of the wedding, she arrived promptly, asked if there were any special shots I wanted, and then proceeded to do what she does with quiet skill and expertise. She has clearly done a lot of wedding photography, and knew all the best angles and slight changes to posed shots to make us look our best. In addition, she was willing to travel around to each location we wanted photos - at the beach, in the city, etc. I could not be happier with the results! Every photo was stunning. I highly recommend Cana for your wedding photography. She was kind, polite, and seemed very confident and comfortable being our photographer for the day. It only took about two weeks for our album of edited photos to be posted online, and she was honest and up front about the time it would take to edit the rest of the photos so we knew what to expect. Thanks again, Cana! I can't wait to see the rest of the photos and order some prints!

We have had so many people mention how absolutely gorgeous our wedding photos were, and we even had another professional photographer mention that we must have had at least two photographers on site when, in reality, Cana was the one running around taking pictures of not only the activity but every little detail of our DIY wedding. In addition, we did not have a lot of money to budget for photography, and Cana was very fair with her prices. She captured photos in the exact style we requested and even helped us after the wedding with sharing and printing our photos. Most importantly, Cana is a beautiful and kind person who was a joy to have by our side on our special day!

look their best!! Cana really cares about her work, and it shows through her pictures! Quality, beautiful photos at a fair and affordable price, she is nothing short of amazing! There was not one that we didn't love, and she really took the time to make each picture look beyond incredible! She is very structured and friendly, and definitely makes you feel like family right away. (We really didn't want someone that would make the family feel awkward or like they were been ordered at) Not only did she get all the right shots and angles, but she educated us on why she was doing what she was doing so that the end result would be perfect! And it didn't feel at all like we were posing, the end results look very natural. She is also great with kids-- I'm not sure how she did it, because I had so many nieces and nephews running around but in every picture they are all looking right at her and smiling! At the end of the day, we are truly loving the pictures and the way we got them! We definitely recommend her and will be going to her with any future family photos!!
