The String Beings

I loved working with The String Beings! I had an outdoor ceremony, but I could still hear the lovely music even when I was indoors waiting to walk down the aisle. It was the perfect touch for moments in the ceremony too, such as during the communion. I always had good communication with Van, and they were all set up and on time on the wedding day. This was honestly an extra expense for me, since I was sticking to a strict budget. It was completely worth it, and elevated my wedding ceremony

The String Beings played beautiful music before the ceremony, during the ceremony, and during the recessional. Their music set a tone of elegance, peace, grace, and joy. They were also a pleasure to work with; the leader of the String Beings listened so well to our requests, and helped bring a reassuring quality as we prepared for our wedding. Note: the String Beings know how to play EVERYTHING, from Stevie Wonder to Bach to Bruno Mars. Our wedding could not have been as complete without them. We recommend them as highly as possible. I did not end up having the String Beings at my event but I still have some words to share. I was in contact with Van for a few weeks and he had reserved my wedding date for us. Then out of nowhere he tells me his wife booked a vacation for them on our date! He felt bad but this was extremely unprofessional as were all of his emails (no punctuation or spell check).

My mom really wanted to hire The String Beings all along. We went to listen to them at another wedding and it was absolutely beautiful - they did a wonderful job and people seemed to enjoy the music. I finally gave in and had my Mom hire them for our special day. Unfortunately, the owner/main violinist was not available and we had other musicians who we were not in contact with prior to the event. The owner called the day before (very nice touch) and was incredibly reassuring about everything. However, as the bride, I only heard basically 2 songs they played (my entrance and our exit) and they played the wrong song for my entrance despite having spoke to the owner 24 hours before. No one else knew the difference, but it was really distracting to my husband and I and not what you want on your wedding day. We told the owner the following day - he said he would look into it and we never heard back. We really thought it would be a nice touch for the ceremony, but our guests commented on our vows, the beautiful flowers, our dresses, etc and no one really mentioned them. In the end, I really don't think it was worth the price (which was not cheap). If I could do it again, I would have our DJ do the ceremony instead.
