My husband and I went through Sugar Lab Bake Shop for our wedding cake and were so happy w/ our decision. I have food allergies and the bakery went above and beyond to make sure I ...
could enjoy our wedding cake! They are incredibly detail oriented as well, and asked specific questions, to ensure we got exactly the cake we were hoping for. We would absolutely order a cake through them again for future needs!
We got married in Santa Barbara July 3rd 2026 and had Ali create our dream wedding cake! We absolutely loved it. The process is incredibly simple and user friendly. Up to the deliv...
ery, and taste (of course) was amazing.
Ali took the time to add the flowers we wanted, just so personalized. I can't wait to have another fresh piece on our one year anniversary!
Ali at Sugar Lab Bake Shop was such a wonderful part of my daughter's wedding yesterday. From the very beginning, she was warm, kind, and genuinely lovely to work with -- exactly ...
the kind of person you hope to have around during such an important event.
She created the most beautiful three-tier cake for us with delicate pearl details and softly textured rustic tiers that fit the wedding perfectly.
It looked stunning, but what everyone kept talking about was how good it tasted. We chose different flavor combinations for each tier, and every single one was incredibly moist, flavorful, and delicious.
For anyone debating between a cake and a dessert table, Ali does both beautifully -- but there's something so special about having a gorgeous cake as part of the celebration. Ours became such a focal point of the reception, and the cake cutting ended up being one of the sweetest, most heartfelt moments of the evening. I'm so glad we chose to include one.
Ali also handled delivery and placement flawlessly, which made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. We couldn't have been happier with our choice and are so grateful for the care and talent she brought to the day.
Cake turned out exactly how we wanted! It was classic, gorgeous and delicious! Highly recommend!
From the beginning I knew that I wanted a cake that looked and tasted amazing, and Ali delivered just that. She spent time with me going over the design elements wanted and gave us...
options to help stay within budget. The taste-testing box really helped us lock in the flavors for the 3 tiers (each was different) and every one of our guests enjoyed the cake so much that there weren't any slices left over by the end of the event. She was even able to accommodate the guests with some dietary restrictions by making some gluten-free cupcakes which were much appreciated. Everyone was so wowed by the cake I'm pretty sure everyone got a picture of it. If you want a cake that's a showstopper and tastes delicious, go with Ali, she'll bake the cake of your dreams!
I highly recommend Sugar Lab! Sugar Lab provided our wedding cake and I had so much fun working with Ali! She let me make changes to our order and design during the process, and we...
ended up with a beautiful cake! I'm always wary of large wedding cakes because they often end up dry, but our cake was moist and delicious. We got so many compliments on Ali's cake and our guests were very happy!

s gorgeous cake that was seriously a work of art. The details were beautiful, the buttercream was yummy, and it totally captured the vibe of the reception. With Choosing three different layers and flavors, everyone had a favorite.
But let’s be real—looks aren’t everything. This cake tasted just as amazing as it looked! You know when something is so good you must have another slice? Yeah, it was that good!

We had our wedding cake done by Sugar Lab and it was delicious! They were so easy to work with and the cake ended up looking great! Would highly recommend their cakes!
We worked with Micki and the team at Sugar Lab Bake Shop to create and deliver our personalized wedding cake.

t table cake for just my wife and I.
Communication was really smooth getting all of the details right, and delivery of the cake to our venue was an option we could select with our rate.
The cake came out SO DELICIOUS. The guests loved it, and we couldn't stop eating the leftovers the day after. We can't wait to eat our cake again one year from now, as Sugar Lab Bake Shop offers a freshly baked one for you to have on your anniversary - no need to freeze your wedding cake and eat a stale one next year.
Thanks so much for helping our dream wedding come true, Sugar Lab Bake Shop!
Ali and team made the most beautiful and delicious cake for our wedding. We wanted a 2 tier dark teal cake so that our florist (Flower House 805) could add bright colorful flowers....
The cake was perfect and we added our dog as the topper. We chose chocolate with vanilla bean buttercream for bottom layer and Champagne with blueberry buttercream for top - loved both but the chocolate for sure was my fave! Both Micki and Ali were very communicative and we ended up making a minor change (sizing) 2 weeks before with no issues. Highly recommend The Sugar Lab for all your cake needs.
Micki and her team were great! We used them for our wedding cake, we did a two tier vintage style cake that was beautiful! I love the tasting box you can order to taste all their d...
ifferent flavors. My husband and I had so much fun trying different flavors each night on the weekend we picked up our box. We ordered a small cake for pictures and two kitchen cakes for 250 guests. All the cakes were delicious!

pectations. Communication throughout the process was seamless, with prompt responses to any queries or concerns I had.
Moreover, the taste of the cake was simply divine. Everyone loved our cake, and we wish they got to taste all the different flavors! And of course, the presentation was just absolutely beautiful!
In terms of service, Micki was professional, reliable, and accommodating. She ensured that the cake was delivered on time and in pristine condition, making the entire experience hassle-free. I highly recommend Sugar Lab Bake shop for your wedding cake and desserts for any special event!

ke big enough to serve our guests. Sugar Lab helped us pick out the most perfect sized cake for my husband and I to cut during our wedding, as well as provided the most delicious mini cupcakes for our guests to enjoy. The banana cake with cinnamon cream cheese frosting is INCREDIBLE!
Prior to our wedding we picked up a cake tasting box and had sooo much fun trying the many combinations they had to offer. We have talked about that box for months and even discussed getting another one just to eat.
Ali and Mickie communicated with us well and always answered all of our questions and concerns quickly. We felt totally at ease and never once worried about our cake or dessert table while wedding planning. We knew we were in great hands with Sugar Lab. They delivered the cake on time and it was stunning! Our guests still remind us how much they loved the mini cupcakes and all of the flavors.
I would highly recommend Sugar Lab for any and all dessert needs.
Sugarlab did the most amazing job for our wedding dessert bar. Cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and so much more. It was delicious, abundant, and looked beautiful. Micki was fantastic...
to work with leading up to the event day, and Ali made sure delivery and setup was seamless. Thank you Sugarlab for taking such great care of us.

Sugar Lab came recommended by a vendor friend of mine in the wedding industry. We schlepped to Ventura from Encino for our tasting and it was the best tasting cake we tried out of...
7 bakeries. Pricewise it was in the middle of the options we tried. We ordered a two tier Lemon cake with lemon curd and swiss butter cream, and a kitchen cake of vanilla bean cake with raspberry jam and swiss buttercream. Our cake was delivered to our venue and decorated with pressed edible flowers I provided. Sadly, our venue never cut into the separate cake to provide two options, but that is on them, both were delicious. We also ordered a dozed gluten free cupcakes and a dozen vegan cupcakes to cater to those guests. Thank you Sugar lab for the delicious cake, we are looking forward to our anniversary cake already
I recently ordered a cake from Sugar Lab on behalf of my two beloved friends. First, you'd be amazed at how many bakeries in Ventura County won't do a same sex wedding. Was not an ...
issue at all for Sugar Lab. Secondly, the cake was incredibly delicious! We chose three different flavors, one for each tier, and each was more delicious than the prior. Lastly, we had a snafu the day of the wedding. We left the cake in the sun and the fondant began to melt. The team at Sugar Lab didn't hesitate. They made a special trip back to the bakery and patched the cake. They did such a beautiful job that no one could tell the difference. I cannot recommend Sugar Lab enough. They are spectacular.
We loved our wedding cake from sugar lab! Micki made us a beautiful two tier cake with vintage style frosting. It was delicious !!! Highly recommend!
Loved this bakery! Had a cute little cake for our wedding and they even made it gluten free which was a win for us! Definitely recommend for your wedding dessert!

ever. From our cake tasting to the wedding day itself, we couldn’t have been in better hands. Thank you Sugar Lab for making our wedding cake dreams come true!!! Stop looking for your wedding cake vendor, you have found the best one right here!

ariety to have. We had zero hiccups on our wedding day (they set up during the cocktail hour), our dessert table was so beautiful, and our guests said everything was delicious (we ordered a two tier cake, cupcakes, cookies, and mini pies). I'd highly recommend hiring Sugar Lab for your wedding or event.
We started our vendor search in the heat of COVID, so The Sugar Lab helped us figure out our cake by giving us a take home kit with all the sponges, icings, fillings, and even thei...
r small desserts to get a full taste of what they had to offer. We ended up going with a 3-tier cake, each tier a different flavor, and from what I heard, the cake was very good. (note to all brides & grooms: if you want to eat some cake, make sure you assign someone to bring it to you, there's too much going on otherwise)
The other nice perk, especially since we had a destination wedding, is that they will bake and ship the top tier of your cake for your one year anniversary; can't wait to taste the cake then!
The only potential negative was that we had ordered cake and desserts for ~140, but due to COVID and other various reasons, we only had 100 show up. We attempted to cancel the additional desserts, but were only allowed to cancel half of the order. They are a business, so I get it, and without that hiccup, The Sugar Lab was flawless.
Sugar Lab was recommended to me by our wedding coordinator for our wedding cake after our other cake place had fallen through. We didn't have time to try any of the flavors out be...
fore our big day(out of town). I trusted the reviews and my coordinator with our three tier wedding cake and could not have been happier!! It came out beautifully. We had flowers to be placed on the cake and they did a great job recreating the concept photo. The flavors were out of this world delicious! We went for the chocolate, raspberry with lemon, and birthday cake. All flavors were a hit! Thanks Sugar Lab!!
