nut frosting, and all of the guests were RAVING about it. Amanda was able to make it “naked” for me, but keep it moist enough. The dessert bar was an absolute hit with the guests - everyone loved it, and I loved that we were able to have such a variety of choices at such an affordable price!

rom day one of trying to order our wedding cake and desserts, there were red flags. At our cake tasting, they had our information under a completely different name and therefore couldn’t find it for almost 30 minutes while we patiently waited. Even though we communicated very clearly to Amanda what we wanted in our cake at the tasting and several times over the phone and via e-mail, not only was it never written down, but our cake size and flavor, filling, and icing were completely wrong on our wedding day. They knew it was wrong, but still delivered it without saying a thing to us. The next day when we went to the venue to pick up some things, our coordinator let us know that they came to pick up their cooler and when doing so not only admitted to knowing it was all wrong, but even joked about it. That was on March 10th. We have received absolutely no communication from them about this (it is now March 22nd). I e-mailed them on the 14th after getting frustrated about their complete lack of integrity and the utter unprofessionalism. It is now the 22nd and we still haven’t heard a word. Not even an apology. At our tasting and throughout our experience with them, we told Amanda several times we wanted no black frosting whatsoever on the cake, no fruit filling, and that we wanted a champagne cake with lemon chiffon filling. Easy enough, right? While our cake was absolutely beautiful on the outside, when we cut into it we were so disappointed to see that the cake was everything we asked for it not to be- black frosting on the entirety of the bottom tier, fruit filling, and white cake. We literally spit our pieces out when we tried it. Our guests who tried the cake all complained about the black frosting getting all over their teeth (which is why we asked for it to be all white), and said the fruit filling was incredibly bitter. I’m completely appalled that not a single person has reached out to us, even after we reached out to them, and it really shows their lack of character. We ended up just tossing the entire cake and not really eating any of it- $270 completely wasted.

g over the phone was easy, and they recreated my vision perfectly from the pictures I provided. I did a small two tier cake with two different flavors and it was perfect! Their team was attentive and helpful, calling to confirm details and providing lots of advice on safe transportation. The cake looked stunning with our added flowers. Most importantly, it tasted absolutely delicious and was loved by all of our guests. I highly recommend Sugarplum for anyone in need of a beautiful and tasty wedding cake.

with our order and it wasn't ready when we went to pick it up. (For the record our planner has worked with them many times and said that this is the first time she's seen something like this has happen.) Sugarplum got us on the baking schedule for the same day and told us they would have the cupcakes delivered (for free) to the venue by that evening. Our venue was two hours away in Buena Vista. Later that day we ended up meeting Amanda on the way up because we left later than expected and while moving the cupcakes to our car, we had a mishap which ruined the decorations for one of the boxes of cupcakes. Even though it was our fault, Amanda happily took the cupcakes back to her shop and fixed them, again for free. She offered to drive them to the venue for us the next day, but we instead had them delivered to a family member who was driving up anyway. After all of that, Amanda even offered us a refund for the trouble! We didn't feel right accepting that though after everything she and the Sugarplum team did to make it right and then some. I should also mention that the cupcakes were absolutely delicious and beautifully made. If you want a bakery that will go out of their way to make sure your day is a success then Sugarplum is the way to go. I would use them again without question, even with the mixup. This could have been the biggest disaster of our wedding, and instead they made it one of the best experiences we had in planning the whole event. Thank you so much Amanda and the Sugarplum team for the fantastic cupcakes and helping to make our day amazing.

We were impressed by the wide variety of flavors and types of desserts. The two lovely ladies who helped us during the tasting were so helpful in offering suggestions and helping us decide on a design for the cutting cake. They also coordinated with our florist to add flowers to the cake. We were even able to have gluten-free and vegan-friendly options for our guests. The team at Sugarplum was so friendly, informative, and generous throughout the process and really made a positive impact on our wedding. We 100% would recommend their business to anyone looking for delicious desserts and top-tier service.

ssured it would be completed. Come wedding weekend we found out the wood grazing boards had not been sent with the person who picked up the desserts. While they did eventually refund us for the price, they blamed it on the person who picked up for seeming “rushed.” They also made no attempt to contact the wedding coordinator or any of the contacts they had to say the grazing boards has been “left behind” by this “rushed” person, they simply forgot and are passing blame. It was incredibly frustrating to have a wedding over an hour from a store and nothing to display any of our desserts on. Then came the cake. The cake was poorly frosted at best. I can’t tell if they attempted “texture” or if they simply forgot to do anything with it at all. Thankfully I had my Polaroid so we stuck a photo on it to detract from the ugly cake. This is incredibly disappointing as the desserts and cakes were delicious (especially the almond cake), there was simply no follow through on the details at the end. Attached are photos we showed of what we wanted & the cake we got.

od we had a hard time compromising on our favorite flavors! We got a semi-naked cake, almond cake with Bavarian crème filling. SO GOOD! Would definitely recommend Sugarplum for any event! I will post pictures when I get them back from our photographer. Thanks Sugarplum!

ry-free options that our guests loved! Amanda - the owner is SO passionate and knowledgeable about cake. We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting with her. Our only complaint was communication. Whoever manages client notes was unaware of the decisions made during our tasting so 1 month before our wedding they reached out inquiring about which flavors we wanted and the cake design (which we had already confirmed and to be honest didn't exactly remember as it happened 6 months previously). All was figured out once we spoke with Amanda but this added some unnecessary stress for about a week until those who manage the bookings discussed the plan with Amanda at which point we had already resaved ideas to prep for an additional meeting. Amanda offered to comp our delivery fee for the confusion which we so appreciate. We would recommend SugarPlum and are very grateful for their contribution to make our day extra special.

cupcakes were displayed at the wedding and everything looked just the way we wanted it to! Sugarplum also took the time to add a little surprise on the cake just for me. I'm a huge Oregon Ducks fan and they hid a little secret on the cake!

The flavors were so easy to pick- I swear we were done in like ten minutes, and as soon as she mentioned they would bake us a new tier for our one year anniversary instead of having to save it we were in love. Also, we didn't get the lemon bars for our wedding but we did get to try and they were *chef's kiss*. 10/10 recommend

They focused on even the smallest details from ensuring the color of the icing matched my dress to the colors of the display trays matching our wedding colors. We did not only have a delicious wedding cake but we also had a variety of other desserts at our wedding. We offered cookies, pies (pumpkin and apple), cream puffs, flourless chocolate cake, and lemon bars. Everything was a HUGE hit. We received so many compliments on the desserts. I truly cannot say enough good things about them. They were professional, knowledgeable, easy to work with, very attentive to details, and very responsive. So thankful we had the opportunity to work with them for our wedding.

DELICIOUS and looked great. They were maybe 10 min late from their delivery time-frame (due to rush-hour, but they build in a large cushion that they were still early from our start-time) and the color of the sugar flowers were a bit off from what I had hoped for (just in shading), but their communication in the months/weeks leading up to our wedding day - and the end product outweighs any minor flaws like that. I will definitely go back to them for our cake needs - including our 1 year anniversary cake!

at I'm glad I set-aside the top to eat the next day because even though I ordered plenty, and a small sheet cake in addition just in case, there was almost no cake left over at the end of the night!
