The Sunset Deck at The Beach House

o get married. While searching for venues, I initially came across one of their sister locations, the Pavilion on Anna Maria Island. From the very first conversation with Carly Johnson (who is absolutely wonderful, by the way), I felt immediate relief. She did a video walkthrough, answered every question I had (and even ones I didn’t know to ask), and made me feel completely at ease.   My in-laws live in Florida, so once I told them I found a venue I liked, they went out and visited the Pavilion in person. They loved it too! During their visit, however, they were told about another one of their venues – Beach House Waterfront Restaurant. They decided to drive down to see it, and they instantly fell in love. So, I booked the venue sight unseen… BEST DECISION.   From there, I communicated with Shawn Rhoton. Let me just say that Shawn is one of my favorite humans on this earth. We never even spoke on the phone (everything was through email) and still, every message from her brought the biggest smile to my face. Her personality shines through even in writing. She is kind, funny, reassuring, and truly extraordinary at what she does.   Our wedding day at Beach House could not have been more perfect. I was initially a little nervous knowing the restaurant is open to the public - but having strangers around ended up being one of the most special and unexpected parts of the day. Guests sitting outside on the deck cheered us on, congratulated us as we walked by for photos, etc. It felt like we had an entire cheering section of strangers rooting for us – it was great 😊   Shawn and her team went so far above and beyond for us. I had dropped off a few props and honestly forgot half of them in the chaos of planning. Shawn remembered everything. She laid out fans on each chair, placed every detail perfectly, and made the space look intentional, elevated, and stunning. She knew from our walkthrough (and probably from all the emails) that I was overwhelmed. She simply said, “I’ve got it” and made magic happen.   Core memory for me… when it was time to walk out with my Dad, I was incredibly emotional & tearing up. The staff around me were so kind – I imagine they see this every day, but they treated me like family. They handed me napkins, reassured me, and created this calm, sweet moment before everything began.   And then… the sunset. I don’t think words can do it justice. It was breathtaking - the kind of sunset that makes realize you are living a memory you’ll never forget.   I could go on and on about this place, about Shawn, about the staff, about how flawlessly everything was executed. I am a totally Type B bride, and somehow they made my entire wedding look like I had been Type A my whole life. They just know what they’re doing, and they do it with so much heart.   If you are considering getting married here, please do not hesitate. Book it. It was the best decision we made. I would get married there a thousand times over just to relive the experience. Everything was perfect, everyone loved it, and it truly felt like a dream. I can’t wait to go back and visit again!   Beach House – thank you for giving us the most magical, beautiful, unforgettable wedding day!!!
