ur appointments because our experience at The Sweet Peace was hands down the most enjoyable part of our wedding planning. There are countless things to say about Allison personally, but for purposes of this review I will keep it to business. From the second you walk in, Allison is welcoming and hospitable. You spend some time talking through your vision and looking through photos, and Allison is fully with you. She is attentive to detail and makes everything come to life the exact way you want it. All of this is leaving out how perfect the cake tastes. My husband and I will be going back on a regular basis for their impeccable company and donuts, and will 100% go to Allison for any special occasion in our future together :)

day. All of the cake samples we tried were so incredible that making our final decision proved to be VERY difficult. We ended up choosing marble cake with strawberry banana filling. It was so so so good. I’m not a big cake person myself, usually I opt out to eat them at weddings and events. Not this cake! It was actually one of the only things I ate the entire day! I would absolutely recommend The Sweet Peace bakery to anyone in need of a cake, cupcakes, donuts, etc. The baked goods are top notch and the staff is so incredible. We will absolutely be using The Sweet Peace for all our future cake needs and parties. Thank you Allison, for making the wedding cake of our absolute dreams!

She gave us mini cupcakes of all different cake/icing varieties so that we could do our tasting at home and even gave us some more just to eat on our ride home. We ended up having a white with pink ombre cake and gold flake and choosing a Vanilla cake with Lemon Raspberry filling. It was so good and everyone was raving over it. She allowed us to use a cake stand free of charge, gave us some cake to go home with the next day and also gave us a mini one year anniversary cake!

this. The cake looked like a piece of art, was the perfect texture, and was totally delicious. We were given a tier wrapped and ready to be eaten on our 1-year anniversary and honestly, I kind of don't want to wait until then cause the cake was so good I want to eat more of it now.
I planned my wedding from out of state and traveling to plan things with vendors in person was difficult with COVID. Allison was so helpful and accommodating every step of the way, making it possible for my Maid of Honor to do our tasting safely and with tons of flavors to try (we ended up going with the lemon cake with the raspberry cream filling). She was straightforward with the pricing and helped us find a way to have a positively gorgeous cake within our budget. Also, she is incredibly kind and down-to-earth. I highly, highly recommend The Sweet Peace.

ith Allison we knew we were in good hands. I worked at a bakery for 5 years so I know how much hard work goes into running one.
She was so patient with us and turned our vision into reality with a beautiful cherry blossom design and her added touch of a gold "sexy edge" in buttercream.
She gave us over a dozen flavors to try and asked us what our favorites were. My husbands was the marble/salted caramel and mine was coffee with maple cream. (my husband hates coffee)
She convinced us to try the 2 flavors together and WOW, we knew that was it. She even gave us another box of cupcakes to take home so we could share it with our friends and family.
Our guests LOVED the cake and were asking for seconds. Please support this wonderful local business. They treat every one of their customers like family.

asy to deal with as Sweet Peace wedding planning would be a lot less stressful! Sweet Peace had the most variety in cake and icing flavors. When we went to the tasting we really could have picked any of the countless options. Allison went though all the design options for our cake and in the end it came out exactly how we explained it to her.
As for the cake itself, we received so many compliments on the taste and originality of our cake. We can’t wait to eat it again on our 1 year anniversary!
I should also mention that we tried some of their other baked goods and they were all amazing. We found our new favorite bakery in the area.
Can’t recommend Allison and Sweet Peace enough their cakes look amazing and taste even better!

Bridgeview used!! I met with Alison on a Saturday afternoon and had a tasting - every single cake was better than the next! We decided on Confetti Cake with buttercream frosting, no fondant and said we were going with a very earthy feel with lots of greenery. When we got to our wedding we were absolutely floored at how stunning the cake was!! And every single guest commented on how delicious it was. And the best part, they flash froze a second cake topper and dropped it off at the venue for our One year anniversary. And knowing how good the cake was I don’t know how I’ll be able to live with it in my freezer for another 11 months without eating it!

just that, passionate, inspiring, humble, and kind. She gets messy, she's hands on, she gets your vision and then exceeds your expectations with it.
She turned my dream wedding cake into a reality and then made it even better by adding your creativity to it.
We didn't plan on doing a cake cutting at our wedding because we thought we would be too busy dancing and let me tell you. The second we walked in to the venue I marched in to the room to find my cake. It was something I was soooo excited to see and the moment I saw it I knew we would be doing a cake cutting. This cake needed to be seen and needed attention.
I ran and idea for a grooms cake passed her and she took it and ran so far and furiously. It was amazing.
Above and beyond all of this is the taste of the cakes was just as amazing. Such a fun overall experience during a process that can be stressful on all other aspects.
My vote, my heart and my stomach are with The Sweet Peace over and over and over again!

We loved her and we loved the cakes. in June of 2017 we told her to give us an official proposal for budgeting purposes and she said she would get back to us within a week. We never got a proposal. We waited until November 2017 to ask again. she said she would give us a proposal within the week. never got one. I contacted her again in January of 2018 and told her that we really need a Proposal otherwise we would start looking somewhere else. she apologized And said she would send it tomorrow. Never got one. We started looking at other places and each place we looked sent us proposals within the week of meeting without us even having to ask. We found a place we loved as much as sweet peace (sweet duchess) and they sent us an official invoice as well as specific visions for the designs of our cake. We are all set with them after having just met a week ago! no matter how good their cakes are, do not trust the most important day of your life with a company this flaky. you never should have to beg a company for a proposal.

from the moment we sat down with her that this was going to be our wedding cake vendor. She gave us a huge amount of samples to try, plus extras to take home to our parents AND extras for us to try again later to help us make our decision (everything is so delicious that deciding on the filling and cake was no easy task). Allison also worked with us to get as close as possible to our budgeted cost for our cake without compromising what we envisioned. On our big day the cake looked absolutely STUNNING - it was exactly what we asked for and tasted amazing. I am still hearing from people how much they loved it. We can't wait to eat our 1 year anniversary cake - which they throw in for free and bake separately from the cake so that it doesn't sit out during the entire event! One last thing to mention is that her bakery is 100% nut free - no need to worry about anyone's allergies here :) Thanks so much Sweet Peace for making our cake selection process a breeze! We will definitely be back in the future! You guys rocked it!

So it not only looked great but tasted AMAZING. In fact, my guests liked the cake so much that my husband and I almost didn't get a slice to take home. Even if they did, Allison gave us an anniversary tier as a bonus to take home so we would still be able to enjoy our delicious cake. The cake tasting was very fun and in addition, we got samples to take home, how great is that! Her cake prices are very reasonable and worth every penny. rst appointment and really got a feel for what I wanted. I shared with them that I would be getting married at a rooftop venue in Ling Island City. In an instant, they suggested that I should include some elements of the 59th Street Bridge in my cake. They sketched it on the spot and I fell in love. We added other features as we went and I was so excited about the process. Once the day came and I saw my cake, I was flawed. It was absolutely gorgeous.

k to at our tasting. My one and only minor note is that it was hard to get in touch with them via e-mail. I was trying to confirm things and it took them quite a while to respond. If you are someone who gets anxious and needs someone to respond quickly, they might not work for you. Otherwise the cake was seriously amazing! Blew everyone away. She listened to all my ideas and morphed the cake into a delicious work of art.

buttercream and grandma's cookies buttercream fillings. The cupcakes were amazing too - we got cinnamon and funfetti flavors. Everyone raved about cake and cupcakes! On top of everything being beautiful and delicious, the service was fantastic! Allison and her team are extremely nice, professional and fun to work with! I cannot recommend Sweet Peace enough to any bride or even anyone who needs a fantastic cake!

chose cinnabon for our wedding cake. The wedding cake was beautiful, however I was slightly bothered because I had a very specific color scheme of cream and blush. I made note of the fact that it said cream and blush on our contract with the Sweet Peace, and some of the sugar flowers on our cake were more bright peach and orange-y. It's really not a big deal, and I'm sure no one noticed but me, but because it was out of our color scheme, it did dampen my love of the wedding cake a little. That being said, Allison (the chef) was great and I would still recommend them.

Instead of telling us what she does or wanted to do or handing us a book of "templates" to choose from, she asked us questions about ourselves and our wedding - the theme, the experience we wanted it to be, our colors. We knew that we were not just another number! She took the time to really understand our vision for our cake and genuinely wanted it to be reflective of us. Of course, her cakes also happen to be heavenly! When we did our tasting, we couldn't even believe how good everything tasted! Choosing Allison and Sweet Peace for our wedding cake was easy. We could have gotten a cake as part of our package from our vendor at no extra cost, but after sitting down with Allison, there was no question in our minds that it was worth going with her!! We have been to so many weddings where the cake was less than stellar and ours was beyond delicious! We got so many compliments on how yummy it was! Thank you Allison and the team at Sweet Peace! n to earth person, she will truly do anything she can to make sure your cake, dessert etc is absolutley perfect and DELICIOUS. Their mini cupcake tower was a huge hit and we offered 7 flavors to our guests and with the images from Sweet Peace we were able to make a menu for our guests to see.
