ake was simple and elegant, but most importantly it tasted good. Our guests said it was the best wedding cake they had ever tasted, and many went back for more then once a piece. An extra bonus is that the bakery will provide us with a mini cake on our anniversary that matches our wedding cake so that we do not have to keep any of it frozen for a year.

Our cake was a simple two tiered cake with two edible gum paste hydrangea bushes placed on it. They tinted (I think sprayed) the hydrangeas the blue/purple colors, they were beautiful!! The cake and cupcakes were so delicious, I know a few people had seconds, thirds, and even fourths!! I was able to bring home some of my cupcakes that were left over and got to eat them after the wedding, which was such a treat! I would absolutely recommend The Swiss Bakery to anyone who needs a cake or cupcakes, or other delicious sweets for that matter. They made our wedding even that more beautiful because of the desserts they prepared!!

we ordered the cake. That made our special day even more so. (And the price for the finished product + a layer at our 1st anniversary was extremely economical.) The cake also was perfectly wrapped and easy to get out of the box--no mishaps there!

e florist on the afternoon-of (at the venue), and smartly recommended a colored table cloth to set off the delicate white cake tiers. We got three tiers (each on a different cake stand that we purchased) and a large sheet cake (kept in the kitchen). The Swiss Bakery actually let us come in for a 2nd cake tasting, as I was waffling between the two different types of cake and all the varied fillings. We ended up going for a sponge cake with fresh fruit and cream. Everyone commented on how fresh and tasty it was! We have since gone to the Swiss Bakery for pastries, fruit torte cake, and other assorted goodies. They are a full-service shop, with delicious treats. We are now regular customers. And they have offered to make us a top tier for our 1st anniversary, so we didn't have to deep freeze one for a year. :)

I was surprised that the cost was not more. I had gone to several other bakers so I had a good idea of what was being offered in this area and the cost. We expected 50 guests and they came up with ideas to minimize cost (ie reduce the height of each of the 3 layers). We chose a bavarian cream filling that wasn't too sweet --the cake was just beautifully done.

icious. Our guests are still commenting on how perfect the groom's cake was for us. I think there are almost as many pictures of it as there are of us!
