The Swiss Bakery

Winner in Taste, Style, Flavor, Service and Value! All add up to make the Swiss Bakery the only place to go for a special occasion or everyday treats. I have purchased my 50th and 60th birthday cakes for 40 from them as well as a gift of a wedding cake. All were very different looking but all were extremely attractive and delicious. Service was beyond comparison on all three occasions.

I used the Swiss bakery for our wedding last friday and was so excited and in awe over the work that they did. I had requested that they decorate our cupcakes to look like hydrangeas that were tinted blueish/purplish, they did just what I requested, plus they added a small touch of edible glitter. The cupcakes were absolutely beautiful. Everyone at our wedding raved about how awesome they looked. Our cake was a simple two tiered cake with two edible gum paste hydrangea bushes placed on it. They tinted (I think sprayed) the hydrangeas the blue/purple colors, they were beautiful!! The cake and cupcakes were so delicious, I know a few people had seconds, thirds, and even fourths!! I was able to bring home some of my cupcakes that were left over and got to eat them after the wedding, which was such a treat! I would absolutely recommend The Swiss Bakery to anyone who needs a cake or cupcakes, or other delicious sweets for that matter. They made our wedding even that more beautiful because of the desserts they prepared!!

From the pre-sale cake tasting to the actual cake at our wedding, The Swiss Bakery delivered perfection. Our guests thought the cake was superb tasting, and it looked fantastic. The staff also was extremely kind, courteous, and efficient when we ordered the cake. That made our special day even more so. (And the price for the finished product + a layer at our 1st anniversary was extremely economical.) The cake also was perfectly wrapped and easy to get out of the box--no mishaps there!

The Swiss Bakery gave us a LOT of options for our wedding cake. We decided on the the white pound cake with raspberry filling and butter cream frosting. It is the best wedding cake I have ever had! All of the guests raved about it too. I can hardly wait for our first anniversary to have it again!

When tasting cake options, make sure you ask about the icing. The Swiss Bakery did not mention the icing options, they only asked me to choose the color. The icing on my cake had a strong lemon flavor that overpowered the taste of the cake and filling. No one finished their cake and referred to it as the 'lemon cake'. Very disappointing, especially on my wedding day.

We decided on a buttercream cake, and I was worried we'd have to forgo design, but not so! Laurie took inspiration from my engagement ring and did corresponding swirls, hearts, and pearls on the cake. She also arranged the fresh flowers from the florist on the afternoon-of (at the venue), and smartly recommended a colored table cloth to set off the delicate white cake tiers. We got three tiers (each on a different cake stand that we purchased) and a large sheet cake (kept in the kitchen). The Swiss Bakery actually let us come in for a 2nd cake tasting, as I was waffling between the two different types of cake and all the varied fillings. We ended up going for a sponge cake with fresh fruit and cream. Everyone commented on how fresh and tasty it was! We have since gone to the Swiss Bakery for pastries, fruit torte cake, and other assorted goodies. They are a full-service shop, with delicious treats. We are now regular customers. And they have offered to make us a top tier for our 1st anniversary, so we didn't have to deep freeze one for a year. :)

We would highly recommend this bakery as a place to provide your wedding cake. That tasting was thorough. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. The highlight for us was that they took one of our wedding invitations and replicated the border onto the cake. They did such a wonderful job. It was beautiful. Not to mention, delicious!

Swiss was great to work with and their cakes were DELICIOUS! My guests loved it! Also, the cake I wanted was a little different than any in their photobook so I brought a picture for them to use. It was a 3 tier cake, each tier was a different shape, with rhinestones all over it and bows and the pillowtop look on 2 of the layers. I was very nervous because it was differnet and looked difficult but they nailed it! It was beautiful and exactly what I wanted! I was so excited when I arrived and saw my perfect cake!

They provided tiny pastries (bite size) for my reception. Excellent quality, appearance and taste. Yum!

I was looking for something a little out of the ordinary and I found it at the Swiss Bakery. I was immediately impressed as the owner sat with me and listened to the ideas that were in my head. She asked good questions, made some suggestions, and helped me make a final decision. Everything that she said she would do, she did. She went out of her way to insure that the cake and pasteries were delivered and set out perfectly. I was surprised that the cost was not more. I had gone to several other bakers so I had a good idea of what was being offered in this area and the cost. Our guests absolutely enjoyed everything that was made by The Swiss Bakery. It was perfect!

I approached The Swiss Bakery two weeks before my wedding and they graciously accepted to bake and decorate the cake of my dreams down to the tiniest detail. The Swiss Bakery was the only vendor (out of all the wedding businesses that were hired for my big day) that did their job above and beyond. My husband and I enjoyed the cake so much we are planning on getting a miniature one for our anniversary! The cake was moist and the fillings were delectable. The decoration was superb and exactly what I had envisioned. My cake was perfect. No bride (and no mother of the bride) will be disappointed in choosing the Swiss Bakery, they truly are the best.

I was interested in a European style cake for my wedding and chose the Swiss Bakery (had gone there before for their delicious pastries). My fiance and I told the bakery what kind of flavors we liked and we arranged for a tasting. We got to try about 6 different little cakes and flipped through their sample 'cake book' to see the styles. We expected 50 guests and they came up with ideas to minimize cost (ie reduce the height of each of the 3 layers). We chose a bavarian cream filling that wasn't too sweet --the cake was just beautifully done.

We loved the wedding cake and groom's cake we ordered from The Swiss Bakery! Laurie and Lauren guided us expertly through the options to pick out the perfect cakes. They were easy to work with, even from a continent away, and the cakes were delicious. Our guests are still commenting on how perfect the groom's cake was for us. I think there are almost as many pictures of it as there are of us!
