Set on a grassy, level acre of lakefront, our boutique venue offers all the comforts of home. The bridal party gets ready in a private, 1,000 sq ft mountain cabin complete with a cozy stone fireplace, two bathrooms, WiFi, full-length mirrors, and natural light that’s perfect for hair and makeup.
When it’s time, just open the doors and walk down the aisle!
Hosting fewer than 50 guests? Celebrate under our fairy-lit covered patio with hand-hewn custom built farmhouse tables and your own BYOB happy hour or reception. Bigger group? No problem. Dine under our event tents and use the covered patio as your dance floor. Easy.
Our straightforward packages include tables, chairs, linens, sound system, and a choice of three ceremony altars (or bring your own). Need extra decor? Help yourself to our Something Borrowed collection.
We believe weddings should be simply stunning and stress-free, with everything you need and nothing you don't.
Located on the western slope of Colorado, our outdoor season runs from the last Saturday in May to the first Saturday in October, when the temps are perfect and the lake views are unreal. We do not host events beyond this timeframe.

O easy, and the inside of the venue is just perfect for getting ready in. Christine is so communicative, precise, and doesn't miss out on any details. nseen we booked not even knowing where it was located on the map. The owner, Christine immediately contacted me and sent me a full list of her partnered vendors- The town itself has only 400 full time residents- it is quaint, kind, and full of hospitality. Trout fishers, nature lovers, or just anyone that can appreciate the beauty of Gods divine creation- it’s a dream. Juston and I visited in June and I literally cried as we drove into Lake City because it is absolutely BREATHTAKINGLY gorgeous and I KNEW immediately we had made the best choice. Christine has an absolutely GORGEOUS home that she allows to become a bridal suite- two bathrooms, a bridal room (with a steamer and tri-full length mirrors!) top to bottom, start to finish- she was there! She brought us snacks, champagne, & literally the best energy I could’ve asked for. I could not have asked for A SINGLE thing more! Thank you for everything, Christine! We’ve adopted you into the family! 🫶🏻
My wife and I were married at the Tack Shed on 8/31/25 and we couldn't have picked a better venue or friendlier venue owners to work with for our big day!

d the venue to when we left the venue after our ceremony, Christine and Derek did everything we could have asked for or expected to help us feel comfortable and make sure the day went smoothly. They were also quickly up front and transparent with pricing when we first showed interest in the venue, which was very appreciated!
On our wedding day, there were some scattered showers and it was overcast, but Christine and Derek ensured everything went smoothly and that the weather ended up being only an afterthought. Before we sat the guests, Derek went out and hand wiped down all the chairs so they were dry for the ceremony, which was very kind. You can tell Christine and Derek both love their venue and take great care of it, while also providing great service and friendliness. We are so happy we made the choice to get married at the Tack Shed, and recommend it to any other couple who would like to get married in the most beautiful place in the US!
