I am so happy with how our wedding turned out at The Tangier! Angelica was so great to work with, made me feel at ease, and was so accommodating! Their space was so clean and decorated just as I had envisioned!

Words cannot say enough about Angelica and her wonderful staff, they went above and beyond to make our daughter's wedding day perfect. I have been to a lot of weddings, but I must say their food had to be the best I have ever eaten. They hosted the rehearsal dinner the night before and again everything was perfect. I would recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding or large event. Again thank you Angelica and all of your wonderful staff for everything.

I have nothing but great things to say about Angelica and The Tangier! Everything turned out smoothly and Angelica was so attentive to our needs and wants. Angelica was also prompt with getting back to me about any questions I (or my mother) had. The venue is classy and easily accommodated my 150 guests, but could definitely accommodate more. Staff were courteous and professional. I would 100% recommend this venue to everyone! Thanks so much Angelica and staff for making our wedding so magical!

Beautiful venue. Angelica is great to work with. The outside space was perfect for our ceremony and reception was the exact size for our 125 guest count. Dessert table, sweetheart table, greenery wall and “til death” sign were all worth the extra money!! There were only a few small details that were not ideal. Venue staff was not available much the week of to drop off items. While cleaning up, several items were broken and we were rushed out before double checking office area. Bridal ready area is in women's bathroom, so guests were coming in prior to ceremony. Also, no ready area for men aside normal restroom.

Our wedding was BEAUTIFUL at The Tangier. Working with Angelica was truly a blessing. She is an absolute pro at event planning and weddings. The Tangier has SO many in-house resources available that made our planning so much easier. Angelica has everything from table numbers to grass walls available in-house for such good deals. We were so turned off by the wedding planning process and so overwhelmed with the idea of working with so many vendors until we toured The Tangier and realized how easy Angelica made it. Angelica even saved the day when our DJ had tech issues and MC'd for us! She's seriously the best and I can't recommend this venue enough!

We got married at the Tangier this past May of 2022 and we had a perfect experience! Angelica was so wonderful to work with! She was just as hyped as we were to have a brunch wedding! She helped us navigate through the wedding process smoothly as we came for food tasting, chose decorations, had our rehearsal lunch and wedding all in a span of 7 months! The venue was absolutely stunning and perfect for a Sunday brunch wedding. We loved everything about the space, staff and Angelica! Your day will be so special there!

If you're considering the Tangier for your wedding or event, do it!! I cannot say enough good things about this venue and coordinator, Angelica. She was there to answer any and all questions leading up to the wedding, has years of experience and is super friendly and a pleasure to work with. She would lay out all of the options without giving her advice unless you asked for it and anything we needed the day of, she was on it! The venue itself is beautiful, bright and the perfect size. There is a patio off of the main hall for guests to go outside, a large menu to choose from and everything is very reasonably priced. My wedding went by very smoothly and it is largely because of Angelica and her team at the Tangier.

Angelica is the hardest working person in the business! We could not have done it without her! She is flexible, great at communicating, and just wants you to have the perfect day! Regardless of where she is hosting, you’re in the best hands with her!

Despite all of the challenges of the year, the Tangier staff pulled off a flawless event for our "Covid-Wedding". The Fountain Room was transformed into something out of a fairly tale and the bar area looked absolutely stunning. Angelica was awesome during the entire process and was very attentive to our many "special requests". On the day of, attention to every detail was covered. And what a value! Knowing after the fact how well it all came together we would have happily paid much more! Thank you to Angelica and the Tangier's staff!!!

We just had our reception here on November 9,2019. It was flawless! Angelica was incredible to work with and made everything so beautiful. She was thoughtful and attentive to all of the details. She even texted me pictures while getting ready the morning of, of the set up. Food was great and the bar service was awesome. We would recommend Tangier to anyone! Absolutely beautiful.

Loved having my wedding here! Angelica was super awesome from start to finish. She made sure I had everything the day of the wedding and made the place look absolutely beautiful! It’s all inclusive and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to get married.

I had my wedding at Tangier on 10/21/17. Tangier was SO easy to work with! WE had our ceremony in the Wine Cellar and our intimate reception in the Casbah room. We worked with Angelica, and she was amazing! She was able to accommodate our every wish seamlessly!!! The food was amazing as well! Our wedding was everything we dreamed of! Thank you!!

We recently hosted our daughter's September 30th wedding in the Fountain Room at the Tangier. What a beautiful and magical experience it was! Everything was above and beyond our expectations. From the moment we met with Angelica, we knew that it would be a fabulous and memorable evening for all. Her attention to detail, vast experience and knowledge, and ability to embrace our vision left us feeling totallyconfident that all would go as planned. The Fountain Room is so architecturally beautiful and provides guests with a sense of historical significance and times gone past; so perfect for our Gatsby-themed reception. The multitude of choices for linens, centerpieces and tableware fit any theme and color scheme one can imagine. The food was absolutely amazing and the options of a chef attended pasta bar and late night snack feature was something we had never seen before and our guests absolutely loved them both! The bride and groom's request for a signature cocktail for the evening was graciously honored and masterfully done as well. All of the staff that evening were courteous and attentive and made us feel welcomed and special. The buffet lines moved very quickly with virtually no waiting, thanks to the competent and skillful staff and our guests were thrilled with the quality of the food. Overall, the Tangier is an exceptional, all-inclusive value that can accommodate practically any budget, and the end result is truly priceless. Angelica was with us every step of the way and we are so very grateful to her for making our event perfect in every way. We only wish it could have lasted all night, and we look forward to our next visit to the Tangier!

My husband and I had the most amazing wedding reception at the Tangier in the fountain room! The entire process was easy from the beginning working with Angelica and Lauren along the way. The week of we simply dropped off the additional decor we enhanced the evening with. They called and coordinated with all of our vendors making it a stress free day. The room was magical and elegant. The food was amazing! The entire staff worked to meet all of our needs. I would highly recommend The Tangier!

The Tangier and its staff were outstanding. Not only is the building beautiful but the staff are so accommodating and helpful. We had our wedding reception there and have heard 100 times over how good our food was. It really was delicious. Angelica took the stress out of planning for us and stayed to help hours into the reception. I can't say enough great things about the venue and the staff.

We had our wedding in their fountain room, and the whole process was great! Angelica, our coordinator, was so patient with us changing some details around and asking for a second tasting, and she was so helpful every step of the way, especially when we had technical difficulties with our music. The venue is gorgeous, and really doesn't need extra decorating, which makes one less thing to worry about. The food is all so delicious (especially the stuffed pork)! The serving staff was excellent, and our bartender was fantastic. And the best thing was that the pricing was all-inclusive; we didn't have to worry about rentals or a separate bar cost. Thank you so much to Tangier for making our reception amazing!

We had our daughters wedding and reception at this wonderful facility. I can't express how wonderful they treated us. The staff is very attentive and professional. Hands down best place to get married in Akron, Ohio! My husband and I cannot say enough wonderful things about working with Angelica and her staff. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and we're still getting compliments from all of our guests. Great food, great drinks, great staff, beautiful atmosphere, and great value! Angelica brought everything together. She is very professional and experienced - she has a great attention to detail and really turned my vision into a reality. My husband and I had a beautiful New Year's Eve wedding. We married in the wine cellar, used the bar area for cocktail hour, and had our reception in the Fountain Room. She made the whole process easy from start to finish, and kept all guests and outside vendors on track during the ceremony and reception. I recently had my wedding here with about 500 guests and it was everything I ever dreamed of! The venue was beautiful and we had lots of space even with that many guests. Angelica does an amazing job and is so hospitable. The fountain room was perfect for our cocktail hour and then later switched to the dessert room. The ballroom is perfect because you can see everything that is going on. Also I like how the bars are inside the ballroom and not out in the hallway like other halls. The dance floor is big so plenty of room to dance and has nice uplighting around the dance floor as well. My wedding couldn't have gone any better and Angelica is so accommodating! Loved everything!!

You can truly tell they are professionals in this industry. When I walked into The Fountain Room on the night of our wedding, I was blown away. They executed what I had envisioned perfectly, I couldn't believe how flawless everything looked! They truly know what they're doing. I would do it all over again at The Tangier! The venue was perfect for our vintage/music wedding. They have multiple rooms that could fit different wedding types and styles. The history in the building is amazing and the food was excellent. The Tangier is a phenomenal venue! Everything is inclusive in your price and the value for everything you get is very reasonable. All inclusive is a Bride's dream come true (especially if you are doing the planning yourself like I did, while working 2 jobs!)The main coordinator, Angelica, was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating; she made my life easier throughout the planning process. The space is gorgeous, we used the Caberet Room, which is spectacular and unique. PERFECT for us! The food is scrumptious, no matter what you order! I brought her my favors and a few décor items that I had made myself and her and the Tangier team went above and beyond any specifics that we talked about. The room looked amazing, I was blown away! They spent the whole evening making sure My Husband and I and all of our guests were accommodated. We had an absolute blast on our wedding day and couldn't have asked for a better venue, food, or coordinator for the reception!! They did a flawless job!

One evening, my husband and and I were dining at the Tangier. I mentioned to him, I would love to have our daughter's wedding reception here someday. That wish became a reality in July, 2014. There are many thoughts, plans, wishes and dreams that go into planning your daughter's wedding reception. From the size of the guest list, to your budget, to the availability of vendors and venues. From our very first meeting with Angelica George, our plans were carried out with attention to all our wishes and with professionalism. We were able to have an unforgettable reception with the Tangier. Cocktail hour in the fountain room with delicious appetizers, a sit down dinner for 450 guests that was served in under 20 minutes and a staff that catered to our every need. They offer so many personal touches that make that special day perfect. We highly recommend the Tangier for all your catered events. We thank them for all those wishes and dreams they made come true for our daughter and son-in-law. Tangier is in good hands with third generation Angelica George.

We enjoined all the planning and ease of communication up to the wedding, but when the big day came there was nothing but disappointment. There was a lack of communication between our coordinator and the DJ, causing a waste of party supplies that wasn't even announced to our guests, and they would have never known it was there because it was placed in the back of the room. Pizza was brought in late night and no one knew about that either. Our food was taken away from us, and we never got to eat on our wedding day. They didn't ask us if we wanted it boxed up or anything, it was completely untouched. They did the same thing with the cake, and cut the pieces so big they ran out. It was very embarrassing to not have enough even though we had enough cake for 150 people, with 133 guests. I wouldn't recommend this location we were very disappointed.

The Tangier provided me and my bridesmaids with an all day sweet complete with food and drink! The venue is spectacular! Our wedding planner Jessie was so professional and accommodating, she was with my reception the entire time and everything went fantastically! Even thou there were two other events happening during my reception, the focus was entirely on me and I didn't even notice the other wedding or reunion! The Tangier is so huge its easy to see why. I would highly recommend future brides have your wedding at the Tangier. It was a night that my husband and I will never forget!

We had our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception at The Tangier. I worked with Jessie for our reception. She was great! So helpful and totally understood what I wanted. My fiance and I live out of state, so it was so nice to be able to email her with questions/concerns. Our day ended up exactly like I wanted it. The staff was awesome. They set everything up, helped my mom pack up the car at the end of the night. Everyone was very courteous and polite. Food was great. They were very flexible with the items we wanted to bring. Great service. Great Coordinator. Beautiful room. Loved everything! If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Tangier again!

Everyone here is amazing! Angelica made it so easy to plan the reception. She knew all the right and wrong things to do! Everyone is so helpful all the way up until the reception is over. Loved Tangier! Would do it again if I could!

I had my reception in the fountain room, and it was absolutely beautiful! We barely had to do anything because the room did all of the work. Angelica was pleasant to work with and was very flexible. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about it!

We chose The Tangier's Fountain Room for our wedding this past October 22nd, and could not be more thrilled with the reception they provided us with! Kelly and her staff were incredibly helpful, creative, and professional throughout our day. We chose a seated dinner (as opposed to a buffet), and couldn't believe how quickly they served the entire room (about 150 people in under 10 minutes per course)! I can't even count how many of our guests came up to me, my husband, or our parents with comments about how amazing the food was and how elegant and unique our choice of venue was. :) We chose the Fountain Room for its character - similar vibes to the theaters of Playhouse Square in downtown Cleveland (but about half the price!) Kelly did a phenomenal job of taking the feel of what we were looking for regarding our wedding day (simple elegance) and designed a truly fantastic room around that concept.

We had our reception in the Fountain Room and it was beautiful! The soft glow lighting, the atmosphere and the setup. The wedding coordinator, Kelly Givens Byers was so extremely helpful, experienced, accommodating and insightful. The Tangier EXCEEDED our expectations!

Kelly, the main girl there, was amazing. Very helpful and accomidating. Both me and my step sister had a wedding there! I had my wedding there too! AMAZING!

We wanted to have our reception somewhere unique and the beautiful decor of the Tangier won us over. The food was also a deciding factor as I had been to a few dinner meetings there before and everything was always good. In order to hit our budget we got married on a Sunday which was a great value here. We got married the Sunday of labor day weekend which still qualified for the deal but no one had to work the next day so it was a win/win! All in all it was a great experience and I would recommend it for the Sunday package.

Not only is Tangier's one of the most unique and tasteful reception halls in Northeast Ohio but The staff at Tangier's is top notch. I held my bridal shower (with approximately 240 guests) there a few months ago and am still getting compliments from my family and friends. The food was fabulous! Absolutely no complaints!

I had my wedding at the Tangier. First of all, we did the wedding on a Friday night in July so we literally had the whole place to ourselves. We booked the event at the end of December, but at that point dates were filling quickly, as Fridays become increasingly popular. My favorite things about the event were that we had the ceremony in the wine cellar down in the basement. It was intimate and very romantic - all candle lit. Then we used the fountain room - the main dining room - for the reception. The ambiance was amazing because this was not the same old banquet hall. The food was also fantastic because it is restaurant quality, not average catering level food. The service was great and the banquet manager, Kelly, is really at the top of her game. Look into the Tangier for a very unique experience!

Not one complaint, from family to friends, everyone enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Staff was very helpful. Couldn't of asked for a better venue.

The decorating they did inside the room we had...it was done by an award winning decorator plus the food was prepared by an award winning chef.
