The Tate House is a historic wedding venue situated in Tate, GA, an hour's drive from downtown Atlanta. First built in 1921, this mansion is constructed with Etowah pink marble, giving it a breathtaking exterior and equally elegant interior. The carefully landscaped grounds, romantic ballrooms, and majestic views of the North Georgia Mountains all make for an unforgettable setting for your big day.
The Tate House has a rich history, starting with its original builder Colonel Sam Tate, who came from a decades-long background in marble mining. Once used as the family's private home, the mansion now acts as a one-of-a-kind venue for couples to host their ceremony and reception. The grounds feature 27 acres, making it an ideal option for soon-to-be-weds to exchange their vows away from the fast-paced city life. Your day will begin in the two-story cottage, which serves as a dressing suite for you and your wedding party to prepare for the altar in style. You can then make your way to the elevated pergola for your ceremony, where you'll be surrounded by carefully landscaped gardens, lush rose bushes, and manicured hedges. If you prefer a covered setting, the Pavilion offers a wooden vaulted ceiling and glass walls to ensure that you and your loved ones enjoy the lush surroundings. The large windows and delicate chandeliers make for a bright, airy atmosphere. A large dance floor stands in the center of the ballroom, making for an easy transition from dining to dancing.
The Tate House commits to one event per day, ensuring that you have the entire venue to yourselves for your big day. You will have multiple packages to choose from to best suit your needs and wants. In-house catering is also available to ensure that each course, from your hors d'oeuvres to your wedding cake, gives your celebration a mouthwatering finish. The professional staff will be present throughout the festivities to ensure that your dream day goes according to plan.

Booking the Tate House for our wedding at the end of 2024 will forever be one of our greatest decisions! From our initial contact, to booking an in-person tour, and to securing our wedding date, the entire process went smoothly. We loved how Tate House took care of a majority of the wedding services in-house; only having to source our photographer, videographer, and DJ, was a huge stress relief! Not to mention, the grounds and facilities at the Tate House are STUNNING, and the bridal/groom cottages are a huge perk!
Weddings are an investment, and the value Tate House provided to us, was well worth it. We cannot thank the Tate House enough for the quality communication, for the ease of splitting payments across family members, for the high-quality food selection, for the most perfect floral arrangements and decorations, for the spot-on execution of the timeline, and for addressing any last-minute questions, comments, and concerns.
The Tate House team took SO much stress off our plates, and always fulfilled each request with the friendliest smiles on their faces. Cindy, Konda, Chef Raphael, Paul, Vicki, Cindy (Vicki's lovely assistant from our wedding day), and all the other incredible support team members– THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. We are SO blessed for the role that each of you all played in creating the best day of our lives. From the initial tour, through the entire wedding planning process, and to the actual wedding, we felt heard and supported.
We would choose the Tate House as our wedding venue, every single time. The feedback we received from our friends and family was nothing short of positive remarks, and we were able to leave our wedding with zero regrets and zero things we would change. Do not hesitate to book the Tate House for your wedding day, especially if you want to lessen your "to-dos!"

I just wanted to reach out after all the festivities have past and let you know, and everyone that helped to make Kourtney and Patricks day go so perfectly, how grateful we are. You all made it perfect, beautiful and magical for them. Kourtney said it felt like they were in a movie, absolutely stunning. I am so grateful for everything you all do to make it a stress free day, I am not good at putting my thoughts down into an email, but if I could hug you all, I would. I will never do this any other way, and Tate House has this down to a science, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!

The Tate House is undoubtedly an absolutely beautiful place to get married. As a venue it has so much to offer with a number of facilities as well as stunning grounds for photos and visiting. As a group, the coordinators and in-house team are unparalleled. We fell in love with this venue as soon as we visited. Since we were getting married in July in Georgia, we wanted to get married indoors (with A/C) but ideally in some sort of pavilion with plenty of beauty and natural light. The pavilion site on the Tate Estate was absolutely perfect for this. The first time we walked through the double doors of this space, my eyes teared up and I knew I wanted to get married there. Not to mention the gardens, terraces, fields, pond, manor, reception hall, and bridal / groom cottages! No shortage of beauty and elegance. This venue shaped the entire vision of our romantic and ethereal wedding. We also loved how many of the "vendors" are already included in-house for the Tate House. Not only was this wildly convenient, but they were all of such high quality! Our planning meetings helped us to cover and walk through all of the details with these "vendors" and it was great to knock it all out in one place. Highly recommend attending an open house at Tate if you can! It is a great way to taste food, explore decor, and an opportunity to envision how you would like your event to flow through the spaces. We also want to give a special shoutout to the wedding coordinators! Our coordinator was Melissa and she is the person who made our wedding happen. Not only was she the keeper of all plans & details leading up to the big day, but she was the all star quarterback for the day of. In our case, both Melissa and Cindy went above and beyond the call of duty. Two days before our wedding, an unusual summer storm struck North Georgia and knocked down trees and power lines all around our venue, leaving the Tate House without power. The Tate team worked around the clock to clean up any damage to their property and to do everything in their power to get the electricity back up. Day of, when we still did not have power, they worked tirelessly to make adjustments and concessions to move everything around so that we could still have our wedding, even if it looked a bit different from the original plan. Then, when the power miraculously came back on just 4 hours before start time, they scrambled once again to revert everything back to that original plan. I know that we were stressed but I cannot imagine the level of stress that they endured in order to still pull off the most beautiful, amazing, and unforgettable wedding for us. They did such an amazing job that our wedding guests had absolutely no idea that anything had gone awry to begin with. My husband and I walked out of the reception hall that night and agreed that our wedding far surpassed even our wildest dreams. It was truly the best day ever... and we have the Tate team to thank for so much of that. We loved our wedding beyond words and I cannot recommend a wedding at the Tate House enough!

My son got married at the Tate House this past weekend. Everything was so seamless and beautiful. We have had so many people tell us it was the best wedding they have ever attended. We could not be happier. It was everything we hoped for and more!

Growing up near the Tate House, my dream was always to get married there. When pricing venues, I found the Tate House and their staff to be more than welcoming and working with any budget.
From Cindy giving us the initial tour and winning our hearts over, from Sandra's incredible planning and coordinating skills that kept my day running so perfect and smoothly. Konda's handling of the invoices and any questions, Scott's incredibly delicious food, as well as Paul's GORGEOUS Decor and taking care of my every need or want without blinking an eye. One of the reasons I picked the venue is that they handled it all, and believe me, it was an insane relief having every bit of the sweet staff taking care of us on our special day. All of our guests raved about the food, the house itself, decor, and the coordination of the entire wedding. I couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect day and would do it all over again. I really appreciate Sandra so very much as she helped every bit of my dreams come to reality, and I will forever be grateful to the Tate House and their entire staff.

Oh my, where do I even start! There's so much to say! First, there is literally no other venue as stunning and absolutely perfect as the Tate House. If you think the pictures are gorgeous, wait until you see it in real life - absolutely jaw-droppingly, stunning. The house, the mountains, the property. It's a photographers dream and my wedding pics turned out like works of art. I got married there on 3.4.23, and it was hands down a real life fairytale. Every detail, every second of the day was unreal. The staff is 10/10, the nicest people ever. From the walk throughs with Cindy, to planning the wedding with Sandra, to designing with Paul, and talking back and forth with Konda; it was the most fun 8 months of my life getting to the big day. I kept Sandra and Paul on their toes with my type A bride mentality sometimes, and they always came through. My day ran super smooth and even when we had to rearrange timelines day of Sandra and her assistant were on it. Paul literally brought my vision to life with the most classic, romantic decor ever. I had guests for weeks tell me it was the most beautiful and best wedding they have ever been to. I love BOTH ceremony sites, and the gazebo was the one I went with. Stunning! But, the pavilion rain back up plan is the most EPIC rain back up plan ever. You have to see it. The guests all loved the social hour where you get to tour the mansion. It gives them something to do while we are off taking pictures. The food was ABSOLUTELY amazing. You'll need this part since there are no tastings (except if you go to the Feb open house) you can't go wrong with the food here even if there are no tastings. My vendors who had been there before told me it's the best wedding food. They were not wrong. We had the almond parmesan chicken, southern green beans, ricotta stuffed shells, and sweet potato casserole. 10/10! My guests were literally drooling over the food. We did buffalo chicken bites and asian meatballs for social hour hors d'oeuvres. The chef's choice was salmon bites, which we didn't love and requested no seafood especially after saying we had a specific salmon allergy and a shellfish allergy in the bridal party but we couldn't choose. But, it was fine! I got the Southern Classic package, which is honestly an amazing package! The photobooth - do it! The added 30 mins-1 hour - add it! You'll need it. One thing for future brides, which I knew about and no other venue would do for me so it was fine. The Tate House comes with a lot of rules. Like a lot. Just read through contracts and all the paper work extensively and you'll be fine. It's a venue that's worth it. One rule I didn't know about until 30 days out, was no one under 10 in the bridal cottage before 2:30pm, which made it difficult for me to have time to get hair and make up done for my flower girl. It ended up being fine, just be ready to have to navigate through a lot of rules that can mess with logistics a bit. Even with that, I still think the Tate House is the greatest venue of all time. I wish I can do my wedding there over and over. Having everything in house was a dream with planning and it still was not cookie cutter. My decor was exactly what I wanted. The whole venue is made for the most perfect wedding. Lastly, I want to thank the whole Tate House staff for all they did. They helped pull off a huge surprise for my guest with bringing the ATL Braves mascot in, they listened to me, and they made my wedding a day I will never forget!

I am posting this review as a recent Tate House bride, having gotten married last Saturday, 10/29/22. I can say that booking The Tate House was the best decision my husband and I made during our planning process, hands down. Every part of the process was delightful. It was truly the best night of our lives!!!
*Chef Scott outdid himself on the food, which I have received nonstop compliments on. He was honest and truly listened to our likes, dislikes, and ‘palate’ for our big day. He even accommodated my vegetarian requests and surprised me with a custom plate of eggplant and tofu for dinner. He also provided my bridesmaids and I with a delectable breakfast and lunch. There was so much delicious food. My bridesmaids and I didn’t spend a second wanting for more.
*Paul, the in-house floral designer, was fantastic. He truly understood our Art Deco Starry Night vision. When I had a small flutter of panic over design choices I’d made regarding floral elements, he replied promptly and assuaged my doubts and helped me tweak the plan encapsulate my vision. I did not feel like a cookie cutter bride or wedding. My jaw dropped when I saw the ceremony site and reception hall. Even my husband was stunned by how beautiful it was and kept noticing all the details Paul had pored over!
*Sandra, our planner, was a treasure. She made every moment worry-free. She was an expert and professional, through and through. She made me feel seen, heard, valued, and cared for. My parents and husband felt the same way.
*EVERY staff member was phenomenal to work with and I felt truly honored.
I could go ON AND ON about how INCREDIBLE the entire experience was. The whole day blew me away. Not a SINGLE hiccup. Do yourself the favor and have the fairytale wedding of your dreams at The Tate House.

My daughter was married at the Tate House on 10/29. As the father of the bride, you want everything to be perfect, so your daughter can have the day she has dreamed of. The Tate House was absolutely fantastic and exceeded all our expectations from start to finish. The food was great, from the salad and sides to the entrees we chose (Samon and Lemon Chicken). It was definitely not "wedding food". They made the planning process easy and stress free. Everyone we dealt with from the Tate House team was a pleasure to work with. An extra big shout out for Sandra and Kondra who were our primary contacts and worked hard to make sure my daughter's vision was fulfilled and they delivered! The Tate House offers an incredibly unique and upscale experience unlike the other venues we looked at. Our guests could not stop commenting on how beautiful the venue was. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you for giving my daughter the perfect day!

The Tate House created the wedding of my daughters dreams! She married her Prince Charming, in a Fairy Tale Castle with a Secret Garden, surrounded by a Flowers, Family and much loved Friends! This venue is SPECTACULAR and their staff (Cindy, Tori, Konda) embodies the perfect combination of professionalism and southern hospitality ! The ceremony floral design she had her heart set on was not going to be easily achieved but The Tate House has a FABULOUS floral designer, Paul, who truly went above and beyond to bring her "secret garden / chapel" vision to life, bringing the garden to the chapel complete with gated entry! I toured at least 10 different venues with my daughter and although some others were beautiful, none of them could match the level of excellence of The Tate House. The grounds are immaculate! Their gardeners deserve huge props! Not a weed in sight and every shrub perfectly manicured! I imagine, if Disney wanted to add a destination wedding venue, The Tate House would fit the Beauty and the Beast theme perfectly. In the ballroom bar area there are even wood carvings of beautiful roses throughout the paneling. Around every corner there is something special and unforgettable. The food is exceptional! There are even separate cottages for the Bride and her girls to get ready and for the Groom and his guys! The Bridal Cottage is worthy of it's own review but you just have to see for yourself to fully appreciate how special it is. A couple tips if you fall in love with this venue like we did: 1) Plan extra time for social hour if you can. There will never be enough time to take all the photos your photographer will want to capture at this incredible venue. You will need the extra time. 2) Expect to be kept to a TIGHT timeline. When they say the event ends, it ends. Time to go. This is not a party all night type of venue. Prepare your family/friends for an end time. 3) Opt for the Champaign Punch at social hour! You will thank me. It is THAT good!

Full-service wedding venue in the marble capital of the world! Beautiful architecture and plenty of space for Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception! The staff is a tight cohesive unit that is always on top of every detail throughout. Parking is convenient, right next to the venue (some venues require a significant hike, Tate House does not). Any couple getting married here will be well taken care of top to bottom. They keep it classy and focus on the quality of guests' experience.
A couple notes regarding proximity: They provide separate areas for Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception, which are all very close to one another. Ceremony, and this is huge, is in a beautiful covered building with tall glass windows, a photographers dream! Rain? No problem, you're indoors! Cocktail Hour is upstairs and lends the perfect cocktail vibe with a separate bar in a room full of magnificent marble! Finally, Reception: The dining room is very classy and there's even a swanky bar room to the side for extra mingling, snacks, drinks, etc. After dancing to your favorite songs, the final sendoff is worthy of photos and videos, again, amazing views throughout.
If you're looking for an awesome wedding venue outside the city, you should definitely check out this hidden gem for sure!

The Tate House made my dream wedding a reality on October 16, 2021. From start to finish, they made the wedding planning process enjoyable and as stress-free as possible. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, nestled away in North Georgia. It is so unique for the area, as most of the other venues around offer a more rustic vibe, which was not what I personally wanted. The Tate House was so classy and elegant. Furthermore, they were so kind and understanding during the COVID pandemic, working with us every step of the way including having to change our original date. Additionally, their pricing is very reasonable compared to other venues around the area and the packages can be customized to include exactly what you desire. They offer a personal wedding coordinator that meets with you multiple times prior to the big day. Ours was Gwen, who was absolutely amazing. She was always there is those inevitable times of panic to answer our questions leading up to the event. She was also there, working so hard, behind the scenes at the wedding to ensure everything went as planned. The wedding day itself was perfect. Even our other vendors made comments about how smoothly everything went. We had so many compliments from our guests on the food and drinks. There was nothing about the day I would have changed, and I would recommend the Tate House to any bride out there!
A few questions I had and worried about prior to my wedding that may help others.. #1 was the location, given there aren’t many hotels in the area. What we did was rent out houses in the neighboring Big Canoe area for the wedding party and recommended our out-of-town guests stay there as well. It made the weekend so fun and turned it into a multi- day event. There are also great restaurants and things to do nearby. The other big concern I had was about alcohol, given they did not allow an open bar. However, with signature drinks, beer and wine, it was still such a party, so don’t let that stop you from considering this venue!
Thank you again to the Tate House and your amazing staff for giving me my perfect day I will always cherish!!

Words could not express the joy felt on April 17th 2021. The original wedding date was 4/25/2020. Then COVID and the shut down. Cindy and Konda were the first to call us and with a full heart, offered to move our date with no penalty and we were so grateful for their thoughtfulness and kindness during a time when nobody really knew what the impact would be of a pandemic in the world of getting married. Well, we pushed forward and during that one year wait, the communication never ended. Cindy and her staff were always available with confidence and kindness as we worked our way through rescheduling and all the needed appointments. Fast forward to 4/17/21 and WOW! From the moment we entered the bridal cottage for the bridal party to begin their day of preparation, we were spoiled with a beautiful champagne breakfast, served upstairs in the cottage which is so impeccably appointed with beautiful furnishings and details that anyone would want to live there full time! It is magazine perfect! The lower level had a huge room with 4 hair and makeup stations, seating for all, a beautiful bedroom for the bride to dress in beautifully designed for those perfect mother daughter pictures and a FABULOUS bathroom with a huge shower and everything anyone could need to get ready to go down the aisle!
Oh! Mid day, the staff brought in a beautiful lunch of croissant sandwiches, pasta salad and cookies! Just the right amount to keep us going.
The grounds around the house were magical. We were given open access to gardens and patios for the most breathtaking pictures and the spiral staircase inside the house for the Fathers First Look was somethin right our of a European villa. The pictures are like nothing we have seen!
The 3 walls of glass ceremony room took everyone's breath away. The azaleas, the mountain view, the open doors with fresh air coming in, the chandeliers...well I can not describe it any better than purely sensational!
Oh! The flowers! You must use their florist. What pride in his work. from the bouquets to the centerpieces, each arrangement was fragrant and breathtaking!
The reception hall is so classic and lovely. Well appointed with a huge bar, stunning decor' and new flooring too! The food was delicious the servers all wore masks and provided plated service. They were do professional and helpful, not a thing was served late or incorrectly.
The Tate House has mastered the art of true service. All of their staff members, coordinators, wait staff and those behind the scenes clearly take pride in their work while providing an extremely high level of confidence in their product and venue. I am in the service industry and it was the pleasure of a life time to come to know the people at The Tate House and to meet Mrs. Manning, the owner. She actually was in attendance ensuring the families were well taken care of and each guest made to feel welcome. That speaks volumes.
I recommend The Tate House for your most cherished events because the personal touch will be felt in every aspect of your day if you do. No corporate windowless ballrooms, just elegant, fine details all designed to make the most memorable day of your life magical!!!

Our daughter’s wedding took place in the midst of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and could not have turned out any better!!! The staff of The Tate House was professional and eager to work with us to include all the CDC recommendations as well our own requests to ensure the enjoyment and safety of everyone in attendance. If you are looking for an elegant wedding venue, this has to be the most gorgeous venue in Georgia! From the pavilion to the reception ballroom to the mansion and the grounds as well as even the bridal cottage, it is all stunning and gorgeous in photographs. We cannot say enough about our wonderful experience. Because of the pandemic and the uncertainty of whether we would even be able to have the wedding, The Tate House worked with us every step of the way to make it perfect! They even allowed us to wait until the last minute to make final changes and payments because of the unprecedented circumstances.
Thank you for a beautiful and memorable day!!!

I cannot say enough good things about the Tate House. Couple a beautiful venue with a professional, prepared, and courteous staff and you have the perfect wedding experience. The facility is stunning – from the wedding pavilion and the ballroom, to the immaculate pink mansion. The Bridal Cottage was a big hit with the bridal party ladies. Leading up to the wedding day, the staff was always available and helpful – was able to provide excellent advice on various vendors and wedding day details. Our coordinator was Tori…she did an amazing job from start to finish! EVERYONE raved about the wedding, the Tate House exceeded all expectations. If you are looking for an incredible venue at a reasonable price, look no further.

I knew this was my dream wedding venue from the moment I found it, online. Gwen was my wedding coordinator and she is literally heaven sent. She listens well and was there for me from the moment I booked, through my actual wedding day until now. She is so sweet. Every staff member I encountered are all so sweet. Paul does a fabulous job bringing your vision to life. His talent is unreal! I do want to mention the owner of the venue is not very friendly and really put a damper on my actual wedding day. She was rude to members of my family, my groom and my children. We had to end my wedding early because she wanted us to leave, which was heartbreaking. She, however, does not affect my review in any way. I, as the bride, never had to interact directly with her and I am thankful for that. Every person that works for her are all so kind and feel like family. The venue is stunning. I have been receiving texts and calls about how incredible my ceremony and reception were. My wedding was absolutely a dream come true.

I fell in love with the Tate House the second I toured the venue with my husband. This was one of the best decisions ever. They made the wedding planning process so easy for us all! Their venue and decorations were absolutely beautiful. Our wedding planner, Tori was such a great help the months leading up to the wedding and she held my hand the entire week leading up to the wedding. I didn't have to lift a finger on my wedding day and everything was absolutely perfect. Our guests keep telling us how beautiful our ceremony and reception were and how much fun they had. It was literally the best day of both of our lives and we can't thank the Tate House family enough!

Upon walking the Tate House grounds, we instantly fell in love. The house and surrounding land is gorgeous. Everyone there was so welcoming and and helpful. They have wedding planning down to science. So many services are provided right there on site such as decorating, flowers, and catering! As the bide, I was so happy to hear my family and friends were not staying behind after the ceremony to clean up! Cindy initially met with us and helped us decide if Tate was right for us, the sweetest most bubbly person you'll ever meet! Megan was my coordinator and she was absolutely phenomenal! I really just cannot say enough good things about Tate. ^_^

Deciding to have our wedding at The Tate House was the most fabulous decision! The Tate House was the first, and only, venue my husband and I explored. Once we visited the grounds and spoke with Cindy, we decided it was perfect, and there was no need to look any further. Not only is The Tate House magical, whimsical, and glamorous, but the individuals you will work with set this venue above the rest. The staff truly care about your needs, and make the planning process easy with the 90, 60, and 30-day planning sessions. All decor, florals, menu (and more) are managed directly through The Tate House during these sessions, which makes life SO much easier during this hectic time. My wedding planner, Megan, did everything she could to take any heavy lifting off of my shoulders, and will help you make decisions that best represent your taste and style. The Tate House will make your photographer's and videographer's lives easy too, with a backdrop as gorgeous as this! I cannot say enough about how beautiful and well-kept this venue is! Our wedding was in April, and it was the most perfect day my husband and I will never forget. I highly recommend having your wedding at The Tate House!
PS - Brides, you MUST take advantage of the Bridal Cottage! :)

Oh my goodness. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at The Tate House. 11/10 would recommend holding your ceremony and reception here! Cindy, Kristen, Gwen, Paul, Marsha, Andrew, and the whole gang far surpassed our expectations, and we had the wedding of our dreams. The amazing thing about Tate House is that they are kind of a one-stop shop. In addition to providing a stunning venue with a breathtaking view, they also see to the catering (everyone raved about how delicious the food was), bar, flowers (great prices! Paul is insanely talented and a bit of a wizard—whatever you want, he will make happen), decor (again, great prices), and photo booth, and they have a partnership with Confection Perfection in Marietta for the cake (which was INCREDIBLE by the way!). They also offer planning/coordinating services (Kristen, I love you!). They do have a good number of rules, which as a rule-lover myself, I appreciated because it ensured things ran smoothly and was held to a certain standard—also, a venue doesn't stay in such pristine shape without rules. Our day truly ran perfectly, and if there was an issue, I never knew! I feel like I could rave for a bit longer, but I think you get the picture—I adore them! Thanks, Tate House! xx

The Tate House was incredible, and we found it by chance. The Venue and grounds are gorgeous. Everyone at the wedding couldn't stop raving about it. For the ceremony, you have the choice between Terrace and Pavilion. The Pavilion serves as the backup plan for weather, but it was so pretty we considered just doing it there anyway. In the end, we went to the Pavilion because it was too hot.
Before the wedding, the Bride has a beautiful cottage to get ready in with her girls. It really helped her to calm down and enjoy the day. Marsha, the owner, came by and was very nice and even had a small gift for the bride. Groomsman hung out in the Grooms Cabin which was a nice place to hang out before-hand.
Cyndi helped us in booking the venue and coordinating early on. She was great. We were a bit nervous when the event coordinator provided by Tate took over, just because Cyndi was so professional and pleasant. But Tori took over and we couldn’t have been happier. She was amazing at managing everything and letting us try and enjoy it and take it all in. Food was very good. Staff was great.
Only downside would be that the bride was not very happy with floral job. But that is nitpicking.
Many of the guests stayed at Big Canoe, about 15 minutes away, for the wedding weekend, and everyone raved about that too.
We are so glad we chose Tate House. They were incredible, and we have already decided to visit during the holidays and possibly make it an annual tradition.
Big thank you to all the Tate House staff for making this such a special day for us.

I could not say it enough - we LOVED the Tate House! They were so accommodating and were the nicest people to work with. They truly provided us with a DREAM wedding! Michelle, Cindy and Paul were fabulous to work with and went above and beyond in so many ways! They made our day so wonderful that I wish we could do it all over again!

All in all, I could not have ever imagined having my wedding anywhere else. The decorations and venue itself were absolutely stunning. These people are absolute professionals and we owe our 100% perfect day to Megan and the staff. We received endless compliments from the guests. Our parents were also thrilled with how everything turned out.

I planned my wedding at the Tate House for 2 years. It finally happened on Sunday October 14th. It was THE best day of my life. People kept asking me, "How are you so calm?" Well, that is because the Tate House gave me absolutely no reason to be worried! Coordinators, Megan & Michelle, are absolute angels. Cindy, their sales rep, is an absolute sweetheart. Paul, the decorator, works magic with the decor and flowers.. It looked absolutely beautiful. I have never received so many compliments in my life! I worked mostly with Megan and she is amazing. She responded very promptly and knew exactly what was going on at all times. I never felt like I needed to repeat myself even once. She was so willing to help me with whatever I needed, I just knew I didn't have a single thing to worry about because of her. The day went by so smoothly, if anything went wrong, I never knew about it or noticed. My single issue is the owner (I think her name is Marsha), who I did not meet once until the day of, so she stays out of the process until the wedding day. I received multiple complaints about her from guests (and even from my mother) about her attitude, which was apparently very sour and rude. However, the Tate House was such an amazing place for us to be married at! One sour apple within the hundreds of amazing apples will not damper my opinion on this place. You will NOT regret using the Tate House for your wedding, ever. It is heaven.

I just had my wedding here two weeks ago and it was incredible! Everyone was so impressed with the luxurious venue, my bridesmaids, vendors, friends and family were blown away by the gorgeous bridal cottage. OMG. I can't say enough good things about this place.
Not only was my wedding elegant, but my photographer could not stop talking about how great the place was and she's shot multiple weddings at the Swan House. This place gives the Swan House a major run for its money.
Most of our guests were from out of town and they were surprised to learn that a gem like The Tate House was in North Georgia. I am an out of state bride from Los Angeles, but my parents live in Canton, GA, so the wedding venue was very convenient for them. My mom had so many good things to say about Cindy and Paul (the decorator). Our venue coordinator, Michelle, killed it on the day of the wedding, and her assistant Meghan was absolutely amazing as well. Our guests at our wedding loved the food and drinks and have been calling my mom to get information on the ingredients and instructions for the drinks that were served!
Here's my honest review:
Yes, the Tate House offers a venue coordinator, but do not believe for a second that you won't need to plan your own wedding. The venue coordinator is looking out for the best interest of the VENUE not the couple/bride. It is your responsibility to source your DJ, photographers, videographers, ceremony musicians, limousine companies, makeup and hair artists, invitations and printables, find your own dress, etc, and create your own wedding timeline. Honestly, planning my own wedding has taught me some major organizational skills.
Every single thing that you see at the Tate House costs money, from the napkins, to the florals, to the plates, etc. Sure, the venue is gorgeous, but we REALLY did the MOST/were extra about this wedding. We cared so much about every detail and upgraded pretty much everything (bridal cottage, food, drinks, ceremony and reception decor).
But the best thing about this place is that it's freaking gorgeous and you won't need to find a caterer, bartenders, or wedding decorator. The day of coordinators will also make sure you're where you need to be and when and that everything runs on time. We had SO MUCH FUN using the Tate House and I hope I am invited to attend a wedding there one day so that I can experience it as a guest.

I couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful wedding. From the flowers and decor to the food and the cake, the Tate house and their team truly made the planning and day of experience wonderful. Both my fiancé and I have time consuming jobs and it was imperative to have a venue that could manage vendors and had services in house. We are so glad we chose this group. Michelle made planning for the venue easy and the day of the wedding stress free for me and the flowers and decor Paul put together were beautiful. I’m so glad to have stumbled upon The Tate House and Cindy. The staff is great and seem to really enjoy what they do. I would most definitely recommend the Tate House for a busy bride.

When looking for a wedding venue, we immediately thought of the Tate House because my parents got married here 25 years ago. It is a beautiful venue in the North Georgia Mountains with all the accommodations you could ever need. Michelle worked very, very hard to make sure our wedding day was the day I always dreamed of. She helped me think through my decisions and offered alternative ideas if that was needed. If I could do this day over again, I would literally change nothing about the day and I owe that all to the Tate House. If you are looking to get married in a beautiful location in the mountains, my husband, family, and I 100% recommend the Tate House!

My husband and I spent 4 months trying to find a venue and we must have hit at least 10 different places (out of state too!). Fortunately, my husband somehow found the Tate House and I am SO grateful that he did. When we took our first step on the property, we knew we found our dream wedding location. The place is absolutely stunning. If you are looking for an outdoor wedding, I highly recommend this place. It's utterly romantic. They just built a terrace behind the outdoor ceremony too in case there were to be rain. It's gorgeous and although I'm glad it didn't rain on our wedding day, I wouldn't have mind the terrace. The reception area (indoor) has a beautiful marble dance floor and a gigantic bar (a plus for us!). Also, the venue has a 'bridal cottage' where my bridesmaids and I (and my mother) got ready the day of. We were given drinks, fruit and cheese to nibble on too. My husband was able to take advantage of the venue's 'groomsmen cottage,' which the venue had just finished renovating.
Even though the venue was amazing, the simplicity and ease behind planning our wedding couldn't have happened without the help of Cindy, Michelle & Kelly. Cindy is THE sweetest, caring, most amazing person I have ever met. She was there with us starting from day 1 (which was January of 2015) to our wedding day (June 2016). She answered ALL of our questions and ensured that we were comfortable the entire time. Michelle was so polite and easy to work with too. She made the day of our wedding run smoothly and I never had to worry about anything going amiss. We wanted to include a small Vietnamese 'Tea Ceremony' during our reception and Michelle had no trouble coordinating it in our schedule. And I cannot say enough about Kelly, who helped us design our bouquets and set up the decor for the ceremony site and the reception area. I came in having NO idea what I wanted, however she was able to identify my sense of style and took care of everything. I couldn't have asked for a better team.
Overall, the place was just absolute perfection and I wish I could relive my wedding day over and over again. Book the Tate House!

From the very first moment my husband and I walked onto the property and The Tate House we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding day. Then we met the people who work there…and they helped seal the deal. Cindy, Michelle, Kelly, and Marsha are four amazing ladies that do everything they can to make weddings amazing. Any questions we had, got answered. Any nerves we had, were eased. They were always so happy to help us. The thing that stuck out the most to me was that they remembered my husband and I when we showed up to the bridal open house with a TON of other couples. They remembered us right away, our wedding date, colors, food, everything…and I have no doubt it was the same for every other couple in the room. The Tate House took care of just about everything for us from food, to flowers and decor, to cake. It was so nice to have a "one stop shop" kind of thing with them. Our wedding day was BEYOND everything I had ever imagined or dreamed of. Everything went so smoothly, looked gorgeous, and tasted delicious. I never had to stress about anything. If a problem arose, it was solved before I knew it existed. I could truly focus on the ceremony and reception and just enjoying that day with my husband. We are absolutely certain that we had the best venue possible and we are incredibly grateful to everyone there for all the did for and with us. I recommend The Tate House to everyone!!

After searching through many venues all around Georgia, this was by far the most beautiful! The Tate House is surrounded by the most gorgeous mountains, has spectacular landscaping, a charming historic mansion for the reception, and personable staff. I could not have asked for a more dreamy place to have my wedding. They have many different packages to fit all budgets. You really get a lot of bang for your buck!! Everything is included (florals, food, decor, wedding coordinating) and the in house chef is amazing. The whole day was effortlessly smooth and we were treated like royalty in the bridal cottage. I highly recommend all brides check them out, it is well worth the trip up to Tate :)

The Tate House and their staff are nothing short of phenomenal. They not only provided a venue but also food and decorations (they have a large variety of things to choose from). The quality of literally everything was exceptional. The staff quickly answered any emails that I sent, hashed out details during our meetings (even if I had forgotten that we had discussed them before), were honest and upfront about everything, and ultimately made my dream day come true. Kelly and Cindy were friendly, committed, enthusiastic, and an absolute joy to work with. From daily interactions to the day of the wedding, they were amazing. The value of everything is excellent as well. A fraction of an Atlanta wedding and with a view that would NEVER be seen in Atlanta.
