We had the pleasure of meeting Chef Kevin shortly after he had taken over and fell in love with his friendly demeanor, passion and of course his delicious food! Everyone left our wedding absolutely floored by the food! Use of the outdoor patio was so fun and gave lots of room to breathe. The ceremony site was gorgeous and humble at the same time. But most of all Kevin and his staff felt like old friends who just happened to be busting their butts for us. Our guests loved them and many left with chants of "best wedding ever". And after an amazing night where Chef Kevin and his team helped my best friends set up for HOURS, kept us on track, kept everyone happy and boozed and full, we came early the next morning to pickup a few things and he was already busting out a baby shower! We are eternally grateful for the memories made at Tewksbury. and for all the small moments that lead up to making it possible. Unbelievable venue - we will be booking all our future events here without a doubt!

e our day amazing. A few month later my fiancé called Tewksbury with a question and we were told Mike no longer worked there. Well we found out why. That place is a disaster. First they never informed us who the new event coordinator was, then they never informed us the menu changed since they had also brought in a new chef. The manager Peg was now in charge of the events and she is not an event coordinator. I had many conversations where I felt like I was repeating myself. I did not feel confident on my wedding day. Not to mentioned it rained! Thankgoodness I had an amazing wedding party that really pulled the day together. The venue didn’t help set up, and they didn’t even put water glasses on the tables! The silverware was wrapped in paper napkins. Everything was just so tacky. The view is beautiful and it’s a different place to have a wedding but with all the stress we went through and all of the things I now realized were missed I really wish I had chosen another location.

since its been open but they went above and beyond our expectations for the wedding day. Mike Overdorf is professional and friendly and mostly hard working. Everything seemed a little disorganized in my head the day of but they helped pull everything together and him and his crew made a great "day of" coordinator since I didn't want any of my (9) bridesmaids leaving my side that morning! Everyone that attended wouldn't stop talking about the food and the wonderful flow of how the venue set up worked. We had about 110 people total and got a tent beside the restaurant for dinner and had the inside as bar/lounge for dancing and for cocktails before. Pictures were done in the park to capture a little bit of fall and along the water with the Michigan st bridge in the background! Talk about a backdrop! We lucked out and had gorgeous weather but was nice to have gone over a great rain back up plan ahead of time. Many guests were able to take a walk down the water at sunset to add some romance, others moved the dance floor to the concrete patio on the water, where there was a 2nd outside bar! We were able to have craft beer on tap which was definitely on our top priorities for venue. To have a venue that really takes care of just about everything (tables, chairs, linens, tent, set up, tear down, great food, great drinks) for you affordably and flawlessly, go with Tewksbury and their crew..!! Thanks so much guys for such a memorable night. The venue really suited us PERFECT!!!
