They were so detail oriented, gave us great advice and guidance, and bent over backwards to make sure we had a beautiful time, and that everything ran smoothly. The hotel staff was so accommodating and kind - they made us feel completely welcomed and served us with happy hearts. The bartender (Daphne) and the entire wait staff during the reception were not only gracious, but appeared to be having fun and really loving their work. The day could not have been more perfect! We are so grateful and would recommend this venue to anyone, for any type of event! Thank you so much! We are so grateful!

welcome drinks, ceremony, reception, after party, farewell brunch, and room block in the same place if you choose! Hosting many of these events on site made the planning process so much easier and I feel that all of our guests, especially out of town guests, appreciated the ease of that. The views from every event room were unbeatable. The food was excellent and consisted of many choices for the cocktail hour, the meal itself, farewell station, etc. The entire team was great. Aaron was our Maître d’ and he was the best! He was on it all day/night and made sure we had an incredible experience. Other members of the staff, such as Daphne, made sure we had everything we could need or want from as early as 6 am when we started getting ready to the end of the after party. Casey and Heather were also great during the planning process and very responsive. For example, Heather moved the bridal party to a different room to get ready with better lighting, more space, and great views. We are so grateful for everyone who made our wedding possible. Even with less than ideal weather, we never felt like there was a single hiccup throughout the day. We are so happy with our experience and our wedding weekend was perfect.

All of our servers and bartenders were incredible, everyone attending to our wedding made it feel like we were the only event happening on West Point. Our maitre d’ (Talia) could not have been more thoughtful, kind, and attentive: every detail that we had shared with Casey was executed with precision. We had our wedding at the Cadet Chapel and arranged for our guests (who opted into it) to take a West Point Tour between the ceremony and the reception, and then dropped them back to the hotel. Our Cocktail hour was on the back lawn, the Pershing Patio, and in the Pershing Room. The Thayer Hotel’s Banquet Team ensured that our custom made signage (we provided the stands as well) were put in locations that helped direct our guests, and the setup of the cocktail hour with The Hotel's beautiful gold champagne shelf next to our seating chart, was a fabulous way to ensure that our guests could quickly grab some champagne while looking at the chart. Our Reception was in the Washington Ballroom, and with the gorgeous sweeping view of the river, indoor-outdoor access, we felt like we were in a fairytale wedding surrounded by our friends, family, and a team of wedding professionals who truly cared about us and our guests. We made it a whole wedding weekend, the Rehearsal Dinner was scheduled to be on Zulu Time (it rained out, so it was moved inside to a rain back-up location), we had a bridal breakfast in the Eisenhower Bridal Suite as the bridesmaids got ready, while our guests enjoyed breakfast on their own in MacArthur’s Riverview Restaurant, and then even after the wedding, our guests continued the party at Zulu Time. We were able to directly link our private hotel room block to our wedding website, and could manage and track the reservations with our special login. From the event coordination, room reservations, to valet, check-in, to housekeeping, several incredible culinary experiences over the weekend, and the most attentive day-of wedding professionals, our wedding, and wedding weekend, was perfect. Our wedding was a dream come true at The Thayer Hotel. Our wedding was made extra special by these amazing humans who cared about our wedding like it was for one of their own family members: Casey, Talia, Alison, Jennifer, Marie, Diane, Juliette, Jamal, Victor, Chris, Samantha, Daphne, Jeff, Dan, Victor the bartender, Rosa, Chris, Ginoh, Anne and Erin.

She made what could have been a stressful experience – especially since we were out of state - feel seamless and enjoyable. The Thayer itself is a truly beautiful and historic venue, and it created the perfect backdrop for our wedding weekend. The service was wonderful across the board, and the food exceeded expectations for both us and our guests. One of the things we appreciated most was how flawlessly the Thayer team coordinated with all of our outside vendors, including transportation buses, gift bag delivery, the band, and photography. Everything ran smoothly because of their careful planning and execution. We are so grateful to Melissa and the entire Thayer team for helping create such a memorable and special celebration. If I had to go back and do it all again, I would choose them!

From choosing the menu and reserving rooms to tastings and even helping connect us with the bakery, they made the entire process feel easy. On the day of the wedding, everything was set up perfectly. I truly did not have to do a thing. I walked in feeling like a guest and was able to relax and enjoy the evening, which was such a gift. The food was delicious, the bar was well stocked, and the maître d’ was incredible, attentive, professional, and on top of every detail. At the end of the night, the staff even helped me pack up the car, which was so appreciated after such a big and emotional day. It was a magical evening, and my daughter and new son-in-law had the wedding they had dreamed of. I highly, highly, highly recommend the Thayer Hotel and its wonderful staff.

They worked seamlessly with our wedding planner and every vendor, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable for us. er Osgood, spent months helping us get every detail perfect. She was patient, knowledgeable, supportive, warm and crafted an absolutely flawless wedding experience. Our maitre d', Aaron Falk, was OUTSTANDING from the rehearsal dinner until the end of the after party. Every single detail was under his control, and not only did he not miss a single detail, but he also did it all with humor and grace. The rest of the staff, desk clerks, housekeeping, bellmen,  banquet staff, the chef and the kitchen staff were incredibly talented, friendly and helpful. The food was SUPERB! I cannot recommend Hotel Thayer and its staff more strongly. It is unrivaled. My daughter, her husband, and my husband and I thank you all for the time of our lives!

Without fail, it was the best day of our lives due to all of the hard work put in by the staff at the Thayer Hotel, especially Casey and Talia. The food and service during our reception was top notch, and we received so many compliments from our guests. Our guests are still texting us days later about how good the food is. The staff worked seamlessly with vendors and brought everything to life without any issues. Casey helped answered our many questions throughout the planning process, and Talia helped to coordinate everything during our ceremony and reception. We held our ceremony outside (miraculously, after a completely rainy day), and Talia made sure guests were seated and that it all went smoothly. The reception was such a fun time, and Talia made it all come to life. Now that our wedding is over, we couldn't have imagined a better place to have our wedding. The Thayer Hotel is truly a well-oiled machine, giving every bride and groom the attention they deserve (which is impressive, as I know there was at least one other wedding the same day as ours).

standing! The Thayer was a great location on the river, so many compliments!!! Originally when we contacted the wedding, there wasn’t supposed to be a home Army football game, the kick off was the same day and time we found out a week before! BUT you wouldn’t even know there was a game, everything felt like we had the hotel all for ourselves! We are so happy we picked them!!! I definitely recommend them especially if you’re living in Rockland County, perfect location!!!

Huge, HUGE credit especially to Aaron our Maitre d, who solved problems we didn’t even know we had. When our backdrop for our sweetheart table wasn’t able to be built like planned, he went out of his way and reconstructed it to work. He, along with the team, set up all of my DIY centerpieces better than I could have imagined, and when he realized I didn’t have enough signature drink signs printed, he printed more and found gorgeous gold frames to display them in. There wasn’t a single problem that was brought to mine or my husband’s attention until it was resolved thank to Aaron and his caring, professional work. This allowed for us to have a stress free of a wedding as possible! I wouldn’t have wanted to get married anywhere else, and our wedding reception wouldn’t have been as amazing as it was without Aaron or the Thayer! Highly, highly recommended!

Top notch quality food. What a unique place to have a wedding. Every corner of the hotel is rich with West Point history and you can feel it. No guest of mine has ever been to a place like this for a wedding and more than once did people come up to me saying it was the best wedding they ever been to. I loved how convenient it made everything from having the ceremony, to transferring right into cocktail hour, to crashing in our room upstairs. This was truly a magical day and I cannot recommend the Thayer enough for your wedding needs.
