The Tiger Hotel

Nestled in the heart of Columbia, MO, The Tiger Hotel is a full-service boutique hotel and wedding venue. The Tiger Hotel was designed by a member of the Statler Hotel architectural team, Alonzo Gentry, and constructed in 1928 by Simon Construction Company. This historic facility was the first skyscraper in between St. Louis and Kansas City as well as setting a standard for guest convenience and comfort. The hotel changed hands - and name - a number of times over the decades, even becoming a retirement community system in 1987. Sold once more in 2011, the building was restored and reopened as a hotel under its original name. The original chandeliers once again glittered over the polished terrazzo floors, and the brickwork combined with contemporary features and layouts for luxurious results. The Tiger Hotel offers event spaces to suit a variety of wedding styles, with room for up to 200 seated guests. This venue hosts ceremonies and receptions, as well as rehearsal dinners and post-wedding brunches.
