About this vendor
Looking for an elegant venue with rich history to host your next event? The Jackson County Tower building could be just what you're looking for! Located in the heart of downtown Jackson the County Tower Building was built in 1929 by Detroit architect Albert Kahn. Originally built as the Union and Peoples National Bank the second floor is where the tellers were located.
In 2021 original architectural elements were restored and preserved including floor to ceiling Italian Travertine marble, paneled walnut wainscoting, and St. Genevieve rose marble in the lobby. The ceiling, twenty-eight feet in height, is slightly curved and finished in modeled plaster designs. The leaded stained glass windows, designed after the Davanzati Palace in Florence, Italy, have bronze work, rose tinted translucent imported glass and a shield motif. The 4,800 square foot space is a unique, one of a kind design that creates a stunning setting for wedding receptions, private parties, and corporate events for as many as 200 seated guests.
The Tower Ballroom's talented and knowledgeable staff strive for your satisfaction from beginning to end. We will work together to accommodate your needs. Book your event now by calling our office at (517) 788-4320 to experience Jackson County’s most elegant venue.

The Tower Ballroom is absolutely stunning. We had our wedding here 8/31/24 and are so happy. It is a truly unique space that all of our guests loved. It sits right in the middle of downtown Jackson and the ballroom is inside their county building. If the weather isn't what you wanted outside, no problem, the ballroom is gorgeous for any and all photos. Especially the stain glass windows and marble staircase. And let me tell you, the price is an absolute bargain. We live in Metro Detroit and were traveling, so the fact that they include setting up the day before your wedding in the pricing was a big appeal for us, which was helpful for our ceremony rehearsal as well. We did a partial "room flip" and had our ceremony and reception in the ballroom with roughly 115 guests. We also added on cleaning up on Sunday, the day after our wedding. The rental of this venue doesn't include much, room and tables only. There is no kitchen, no bridal suite, and they don't include chairs, but we didn't mind a little extra leg work to save a good chunk of money. We rented an apartment Airbnb pretty much across the street within walking distance (yes, in heels) and it worked out perfectly. The ladies got ready there on the day of the wedding, and we were also able to hide the whole bridal party there while guests were arriving for our ceremony. The Airbnb address is 227 South Mechanic Street, highly recommend in place of a "bridal suite".
Our caterers (Jackson College) were 10 minutes away and had worked there many times, so they were familiar and did an outstanding job. We highly recommend using Jackson College for catering, Details Event Design out of Milford for chairs and other rentals, Five Forks Bakery and ABC Bakery for dessert, and MC Bartending. Bonus, you can bring in outside alcohol which again, is a money saver. We also recommend using Courtyard Marriott for a room block, it is the nicest hotel in the area, with a great room block discount.
I will say the coordinators are not much help when it comes to planning, they don't have many vendors they recommend or have much local information in the area either, that's why I included a few in my review. But again, we didn't mind doing some research. There also aren't many photos or reviews anywhere online. I will be adding some photos from our wedding to their Google listing.
We are so happy with how our wedding weekend went and would book it here again 100 times over. The lighting coming through the stain glass windows is stunning, and the chandeliers are beautiful when the sun goes down, the ballroom looks like the scene from beaty and the beast when Bell and the Beast are dancing at night. If you're looking for a wedding venue in Jackson, MI, this is it! The others in the area we toured just do not compare, especially for the price!
