The Tower House

This recently restored circa 1879 Victorian Mansion on two acres is ready for your special gathering! This elegant historic home is on the West Hill in Ithaca, with lovely distant views of the lake and across to the Cornell campus. This special property is rented as a whole house, unhosted 3 day minimum with a separate event fee if you are having a gathering over the 12 person occupancy. The property can also be rented for the day for an event fee without the overnight stays. The entire main home is yours with two acres of grounds and gardens to enjoy with easy walking to downtown and the Farmers Market, a 5 min drive to the Commons, 7 minutes to Cornell and 9 min to Ithaca College. The Tower House is perfect for smaller gatherings and can accomodate 40-50 for an indoor party and 80-100 for an outdoor event. The Tower House has enough room inside and out for social distancing and rest assured that when you are staying with your friends and family that the house has been cleaned and disinfected to an exacting standard. We take health safety issues extremely seriously, you will find locally made hand soap and sanitizer in all bathrooms and kitchen for your use. The renovation on the house is now complete but the grounds continue to be in progress. There are more plantings and improvements every week, check back for updated photos. The Tower House is beautifully furnished and set up for entertaining, with a gourmet kitchen and a dining table that seats 12. There are 2 acres of lovely grounds to explore with a fire pit, gardens and magical fireflies to make it sparkle in the summer months. Large common rooms both upstairs and downstairs give you plenty of room to spread out or gather, all with stunning views day and night out of the floor to ceiling windows. There is a downstairs bedroom with a queen sized bed and a half bath. Upstairs there are three large bedrooms, two with king beds and one with a queen, with two full baths. The upstairs sitting room has a tv and game space, as well as extra sleeping space if needed. There are long term renters in the basement apartment with its own parking and access. Jon and I share our time between Seattle and Ithaca. We are always available by phone or email and if we are not staying locally, there is a team available for any questions or needs you might have. The waterfront biking and walking trails along Lake Cayuga are blocks away as are the Ithaca Children's Garden with play area and Cass Park.
