The Truck Bar – Berlin, CT

We used the Truck Bar for a welcome event the day before our wedding that was open to all of our guests and it was a huge hit. The vibes of the place were so cool and low key to start the weekend. This was a kid friendly place for the most part, with arcade games that kept them busy, along with the adults. The drink staff was great and was super helpful in the planning and execution of our large group tab. They continuously checked in with me and the groom to make sure we didn’t overspend on our tab limit, and even gave us an extra room for our guests because it was open for the night. Having the rented out room was huge to have extra dedicated space and a place for snacks - and it was a huge bonus that it came with two reserved cornhole spaces. The only thing I will say, is if you plan to come here with a big group, do not plan to eat at their Square Peg Pizzeria. They encouraged us to use the online feature for our large group beforehand and we dispersed that code. About an hour after all of the food orders had been scheduled, people started to ask questions about why their food wasn’t ready and they had re written over the entire queue of orders from earlier because they missed the window of making it in time, and told all of the guests it’d be another hour and a half at least. People ordering at 3pm for a 6:30pm delivery either got their orders canceled by 8pm, or got them around 8:30pm after we inquired about how they were running their business. I would not recommend the food here due to the service alone - but when we did get food it was delicious. There was live music that night which was a little loud but that’s the point of live music. Aside from that, the event was really wonderful and the drinks were flowing so people weren’t overly upset about the food.
