The Union Knot

I had my hair and makeup done at the Union Knot the morning of my Cannon Beach wedding day! Brigitte was so amazing! She made me feel like a princess and totally respected my desire for more natural makeup. She showed me a few different hair updo options and took the time show us how to style the veil with each of them. She had a gorgeous getting-ready area set up in the salon where the photographer could take photos of my dress and the whole process - it was so special to capture all of those special moments! I would highly recommend Brigitte and her salon team to any bride on their wedding day!

This review is for my wedding held on October 23, 2021. Brigitte and the entire team from the Union Knot were such a pleasure to work with. First off, the space is absolutely gorgeous and incredibly photogenic so if you are having a ceremony local in Cannon Beach I whole heartedly recommend it. Both our photographer and videographer commented on how easy and seamless it was to take getting ready photos and video without getting hotel room clutter in the background. There also was a small bar area where we were able to set up snacks and drinks since the getting ready process can take a while to get through. For the hair and makeup all of the artists that worked with our group were so kind and professional. My mother and mother-in-law both had little experience going through the process and simply asked the hair and makeup artist to make them look beautiful and that’s exactly what they did. They matched their makeup to their dress choices and were able to give them a hairstyle they never would have attempted on their own and they were so grateful. Myself and my maid of honor had more specific looks in mind and they matched the looks perfectly to what we were asking. Throughout the whole process they kept the conversation calm and light which helped with my emotional nerves of the day. Overall, we were done with all of our looks ahead of schedule which kept me calm and excited for the day ahead instead of rushing at the end. Brigitte and her team were incredible! They did an amazing job for my hair and makeup for my wedding. I had a terrible sun burn all over my face, chest and arms. I was in tears that morning because of how awful it looked. They went above and beyond to cover it up and make me feel so beautiful on my special day. I am still so amazed at the wonderful job they did for me and all of my bridesmaids!

Brigitte and Stephanie were both SO friendly and professional. They were very open to feedback and making adjustments to our hair and make-up based on our vision, and were very accommodating. They made us feel very comfortable and at ease, especially my wife who never gets her make-up done.
