The Uplands

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue than The Uplands for my daughter’s wedding. In fact, we hadn’t ever even imagined a place like this existed until we stepped foot on the property and instantly knew it was THE ONE. What set the Uplands apart wasn’t just the event center with its overhead doors that opened and gave the feel of being outdoors,….or the lake which provided a gorgeous backdrop for the ceremony…or the amazing patio area that allowed so much space for mingling, appetizers, even outdoor games during cocktail hour… although each one of those things was a huge plus, making The Uplands a wonderful choice. Added to that, communication with the staff and their flexibility and willingness to accommodate our needs in every way was another bonu!! Justin and Katie were truly amazing as they answered my many questions, provided assistance, and made us feel welcome and at home for the entire weekend. But what truly sets this property apart from all others is the LODGE where all the bridal party and immediate family were able to stay (for two nights!!), essentially turning a wedding day into a giant slumber party / weekend retreat! Having access to the whole property for two days allowed for extra time to set up the night before and tear down the following morning, compared to many venues which only allow access a few hours before and after the event. With plenty of bedrooms and beds, spacious living rooms, a private bridal suite / area, outdoor activities for groomsmen to enjoy throughout the day while the girls were busy getting ready, and so much more, this property truly is what wedding dreams are made of! The Uplands would also be an incredible location for a large family reunion, corporate party, and endless other possibilities. SO very thankful we found out about this venue and highly, highly recommend it in every way!
