The Uptown Band had been my dream wedding band ever since I was serving tables 10 years ago. They were the only thing that kept me from taking the early cut because they were just THAT good. Years later, their consistency has not changed. They are absolutely incredible.
They are true experts at creating an unforgettable party atmosphere. We never left the dance floor, and neither did our guests. I don't think we've ever been to a wedding with a better dance floor. Erich was the perfect MC throughout the night. He engaged our guests flawlessly and kept everything flowing smoothly without ever taking attention away from us.
He stayed true to our "must play" list and crafted the perfect setlist, keeping everyone dancing all night long. Erich truly makes you feel like your wedding is the most important event of their year. I can honestly say they are worth every single penny.

Nissley at their last summer concert of 2021. I looked at their website and instantly knew they would likely be the best fit. I spoke with Erich, and everything fell into place so perfectly. I loved all the horns, all the energy, everything! Their stage presence is like no other, and kept everyone engaged and on the dance floor. Literally everyone at our wedding said it was the best wedding band they had ever seen, as well as the most beautiful, magical wedding they had ever attended. They truly set the vibe I was going for with a 20's/30's Christmas Speak Easy wedding. THANK YOU SO MUCH for making our wedding as special as it was! Uptown Band to perform at our wedding reception at Brick Gables in May 2019. From the first email to Erich Cawalla, the band’s lead male vocalist and coordinator, we knew that it would be smooth sailing from there. He responded quickly and each request and detail was followed to a tee. Erich listened to our ideas and offered advice when we needed it! He even went as far as “re-doing” our vows for us in front of family and friends since we had a destination wedding the month before. First time for everything, right Erich!?

We picked the uptown band because they not only have smooth transitions from one song to the next, but they also have such strong vocals. The lead singer Erich, crushed louis armstrom - what a wonderful world and then was hitting high notes a second later. We also loved the fact that they have multiple females who sing with the band which guaranteed us a strong band even though our wedding was in the middle of flu season. Also they took less breaks than we scheduled them to take!
During our reception there was a slight error with the timing of dinner being served and the band agreed to play an extra half hour to make sure we got in a ton of dancing time at the end of the night. No one wanted the music to stop! The Uptown band definitely knew how to work the crowd and we cannot thank them enough.
Our guests are still raving and we are so thrilled to have a great band in the Philadelphia area to follow and relive our wedding day.
