Erich Cawalla and The Uptown Band were absolutely incredible - booking them for our 9/3/23 wedding was one of the best decisions we made! Erich was amazing, fun, and so easy to work with from beginning to end. The evening was super exciting and high-energy – we had a busy dance floor the whole night, and we got tons of comments from our friends and family about how the band made the wedding! They engaged the crowd in exactly the right way and were all such versatile and talented musicians! We chose a pretty eclectic setlist, and The Uptown Band totally delivered. They even made sure to include the Hora for us and learned a few special songs that we requested. From 80s to ska to show tunes… there’s nothing these guys can’t do. Thank you thank you!

The Uptown Band was amazing to work with from beginning to end. Erich was extremely responsive to any questions and very thorough in preparing for our wedding. The whole band put on an absolutely INCREDIBLE show for our wedding guests. We had a full dance floor for the entire night and so many of our guests came up to us later to tell us how much fun they had. I might be biased, but The Uptown Band was definitely the best band I have ever seen perform at a wedding. They were interactive, high energy, and truly helped us create a night we will never forget!

AMAZING!!!! My husband and I were on the fence about dj vs band but could not be more thrilled with our decision. Uptown Band was the best! Our wedding was 3 weeks ago and we are still receiving texts on how much fun we had. We cannot say enough about The Uptown Band. We booked them for our original wedding date in October 2020 and ended up postponing a year. Erich was easy to work with through all of that. As our big day approached, we were able to request specific songs and had no issues with our requests. Day of, The Uptown Band exceeded all of my high expectations! We were searching for a band for our wedding to fit with our Christmas Speak Easy theme. I looked at many, but none really felt "right." Then I remembered seeing the Uptown Band at Nissley at their last summer concert of 2021. I looked at their website and instantly knew they would likely be the best fit. I spoke with Erich, and everything fell into place so perfectly. I loved all the horns, all the energy, everything! Their stage presence is like no other, and kept everyone engaged and on the dance floor. Literally everyone at our wedding said it was the best wedding band they had ever seen, as well as the most beautiful, magical wedding they had ever attended. They truly set the vibe I was going for with a 20's/30's Christmas Speak Easy wedding. THANK YOU SO MUCH for making our wedding as special as it was! I can't wait to see them at other performances through the year!

The Uptown Band is the best wedding band EVER ! If you don't call Erich you are making a huge mistake. I have attended many many events in my lifetime and there is no band better ! Erich will entertain your guests from beginning to end and your guests will end up spending more time dancing than drinking ! My wife and I cannot say enough good things about Erich Cawalla and the rest of the Uptown Band. As we continued to try and schedule and reschedule our wedding during this pandemic, Erich was there every step of the way with us. We spent hours on the phone talking out different scenarios and situations to where we could make our BIG day happen, and he would time after time explain, "Vince, I'll play anytime, anywhere. We're going to make this happen!". This is a true testament to the type of people Erich and the rest of the Uptown Band are. Aside from being incredible to work with, their body of work speaks for itself!!! Erich is an incredible performer and musician, and the rest of the band is just as talented. They don't only just play great music, but they all know how to perform. Their ability to get a party started, keep it going, and leave the entire crowd wanting more is exactly what we wanted for our wedding. We could not have chosen a better group to help us celebrate than Erich Cawalla and the rest of the Uptown Band.

Uptown Band is THE BEST! Eric is great to work with and totally brings the hype (from the first communication to the last song) which I appreciated! I can't stress how much fun my wife and I had working with The Uptown Band! If you love R&B/motown, this is the group for you! Not only is their repertoire extensive, they are willing to learn new songs for your own special day. Our dance floor was never vacant with The Uptown Band! They also perform for your ceremony if needed.

Wow! What can we say that has not already been said?! Uptown Band MADE our reception a hit! The musicians and vocalists are fantastic, fun, upbeat, and professional. We hired the Uptown Band to perform at our wedding reception at Brick Gables in May 2019. From the first email to Erich Cawalla, the band’s lead male vocalist and coordinator, we knew that it would be smooth sailing from there. He responded quickly and each request and detail was followed to a tee. Erich listened to our ideas and offered advice when we needed it! He even went as far as “re-doing” our vows for us in front of family and friends since we had a destination wedding the month before. First time for everything, right Erich!? The day of-Uptown Band arrived promptly, organized, and most importantly genuinely EXCITED to be there and perform for our special party! It was everything we could have wished for. We are still getting compliments from friends and family. Uptown Band is worth every penny! We would give the Uptown Band 10 stars! They played for our wedding reception and they exceeded all of our expectations. Erich is not only a talented musician, but also a friendly, entertaining host. He was professional, punctual, and a pleasure to work with. The band played a variety of fun, upbeat songs and romantic, slow songs that all guests (from toddlers to grandmas) could dance to and appreciate. Our wedding guests were so impressed with this 9-piece band - we are still receiving compliments about the band weeks after the wedding. We hope to attend more of their shows for years to come.

We cannot say enough amazing things about the uptown band! They helped to make our first dance as mr and mrs so special and even worked with us beforehand and sent a recording of the song so we could practice to the bands version of the song. We picked the uptown band because they not only have smooth transitions from one song to the next, but they also have such strong vocals. The lead singer Erich, crushed louis armstrom - what a wonderful world and then was hitting high notes a second later. We also loved the fact that they have multiple females who sing with the band which guaranteed us a strong band even though our wedding was in the middle of flu season. Also they took less breaks than we scheduled them to take! During our reception there was a slight error with the timing of dinner being served and the band agreed to play an extra half hour to make sure we got in a ton of dancing time at the end of the night. No one wanted the music to stop! The Uptown band definitely knew how to work the crowd and we cannot thank them enough. Our guests are still raving and we are so thrilled to have a great band in the Philadelphia area to follow and relive our wedding day.

The uptown band kept the people on the dance floor all night. Their vocal range allowed them to perform perfectly all of our favorite songs. The sax was a crowd pleaser too.

This band is awesome! We had them DJ our ceremony and play our wedding on Dec 28, 2018. Erich and the member's of the band were nice, looked sharp, and were super entertaining! The set up of the band looked classy and elegant as well. Love the lighting they brought in which was a surprise and a nice added touch. Most of all that was impressive was their professionalism. We got the music and vibe we wanted and Erich was knowledgable and helpful along the way! Had the most memorable night thanks to the Uptown Band!

Loved, loved, loved Uptown Band. The music is such a critical part of any wedding. We asked for a party and they delivered. There is so much talent amongst all of band members. We had jazz musicians during cocktail hour which were awesome. The band had everyone outta their seats and on the dance floor the entire night. No regrets! You won’t either if you go with the uptown Band!

Uptown Band was absolutely fabulous to work with. The dance floor was full all night and everyone was so excited that we had a band. They cover such a wide variety of music so there was something for everyone. Even when the bend took a break, the songs they DJ'd fit the evening perfectly as well.

Where do I begin?! We had seen Uptown perform before and were amazed by their ability to engage everyone in the crowd no matter what age and instantly knew we wanted them at our wedding. Erich and the band were incredibly kind, easy to work with and accommodating to our requests, including my request to sing to my husband. We lost all power during the last 30 minutes of our reception but the band didn't skip a beat! They kept the party going by dancing, playing saxophone, drums and anything else that didn't require an electrical hookup. Because of the band's willingness to keep going and positivity, the crowd kept going too! We danced and sang the night away! Thank you Uptown!! The Uptown Band is absolutely amazing!! My husband and I had The Uptown Band play at our wedding in August and had a duo for our cocktail hour. Erich is incredibly easy to work with, accommodating, and professional. Our biggest challenge was trying to narrow down their incredible playlist (so many great choices)! They are able to perform a variety of songs which allowed all of our guests to enjoy the band. They even performed all of the songs for our special dances. Everyone was on the dance floor having a great time at our wedding. Everybody at the wedding had amazing things to say about The Uptown Band and could not get over how great they were. We requested a song for a dance not many had heard of and they had to learn and played it flawlessly. The Uptown Band was absolutely incredible! They had EVERYONE on the dance floor, partying all night long. They were SO easy to work with, responding to emails quickly. They were so friendly and bent over backwards to make the day so special for us. All of our guests raved about how awesome they were!

The Uptown Band did such a great job. We had the 8 piece band and they rocked out the entire night. I'm not kidding when I say that half of the people at the wedding asked if we found them in NYC because they were so good. No, Reading, PA--and amazing! They were so accommodating and responsive, the music was on point and their voices were incredible...my parents said that they sound like Franki Valli and the Four Seasons. They played a great mix of recent music and oldie favorites and it all sounded great! Definitely recommend!

Every person that attended my wedding made this comment at the end of the night or the next day: "that band made your wedding!". I couldn't sum it up any better. They were the EASIEST most accommodating vendor to work with. Responses to questions were almost immediate. They played a wide range of music, aced every song, and kept the crowd dancing all night. At one point someone thought that they were playing a DJ-type song for our first dance until they realized it was the band & Jenifer & Erich are that good!

The Uptown Band was incredible! They have an extensive song list and learned three new songs for us. During the reception they were the life of the party and everyone was dancing. All I heard after my wedding was how it was the best one anyone had ever been too and they absolutely loved the band. The lead singe, Erich, got everyone on the dance floor and made the day very special for us. And the guitarist played a rock solo in the middle of the dance floor! I have nothing negative so say about our experience with them. Book this band for your wedding reception and you will have no regrets. They're worth every penny.
