If I could give 10 stars, I would! The band themselves were truly wonderful. We opted for the full 9-piece band and I’m so grateful that I did because together, they made magic on my wedding day. Each member of the band was an absolute master at their craft. The singers all have such unique and powerful voices, the solos for the trumpet, the saxophone, the base… I still have wedding guests telling me how amazing they each were. So many people have told me it was the best wedding they’ve been to and it definitely is a direct result of this amazing band. Seth was our point of contact and he was amazing. We had no idea what we were doing and he helped us out every step of the way and gave us really helpful advice that was above and beyond what a typical band would give. I couldn’t recommend the Uptown Groove more. If you’re thinking about it, trust me and pull the plunge. You will not regret it!!!

Uptown Groove is a great band! The dance floor was packed always with high energy music and lots of fun. The horn section was unbelievable. Harper and Lisa were awesome. Seth was great to work with setting up and other communications. I would highly recommend this band Even the caterer said they were the best band he has heard and he’s heard a lot!

The Uptown Groove was surely one of the BEST decisions we made when it came to our wedding! The band performed for us and our guests at our wedding last weekend (8.30.24) at the Hayloft On the Arch and what an AWESOME experience! From the beginning stages of planning, we were able to see him and his band perform at the Turning Stone Casino to get the full experience of how they perform and boy was it amazing! Seth’s expertise and knowledge of how the day would flow left us as a couple feeling at ease! From the consistent communication in the months and days leading up to our wedding, he was always an available to call or text whenever we needed! Our wedding day went off without any issues and ALL of our guests raved about how awesome Uptown Groove was! Each member of the band engaged all of our guests in the crowd, and even got our kids dancing to their favorite songs! If you are considering a live band for your special day, the Uptown Groove should be on your list of vendors!!

We had The Uptown Groove play for our wedding in June 2024! They did not disappoint! Guests are still talking about the music and how much fun they had. Seth was great with communication and helping personalize our wedding day- we could not have done it without him. Seth from Uptown Groove was very professional, communicative, and prompt throughout the entire process! Absolutely sensational! The Uptown Groove brought the house down at our 70's disco gala with their infectious energy and incredible musical talent. From their groovy beats to their soulful vocals, they had everyone on their feet and dancing the night away. Their seamless performance truly transported us back to the golden era of disco, and their passion for music was palpable throughout the entire event. Uptown Groove is awesome!!! Not only did they learn the song for our first dance, they also provided beautiful ceremony music, a cocktail hour jazz trio, MC'd the entire event, and had people dancing until the very end, all while sounding incredible. Seth was great to work with during the planning stages and helped iron out all of the details. He even met with us at the venue weeks beforehand to figure out the perfect spot for the band. They were organized and followed through on everything they promised. We've gotten so many rave reviews and had the best time. Hiring Uptown Groove made our wedding extra special. Seth and his band were fantastic. They got everyone up on the floor dancing and everyone enjoyed themselves. They played a great variety of music so there was something for everyone of every age. Seth was highly professional right from the beginning. We had requested specific musicians from his group and specific pieces of music and he was able to accommodate everything we requested. What made it very special was that they were all willing to travel to our wedding in Pennsylvania. They made the wedding very special.

Best band EVER! From the start of booking Uptown Groove, Seth was so incredibly kind, yet thorough when going through details for my wedding day. Then the day of, the band was absolutely incredible. Everyone was so insanely talented. My guests still months later keep telling me how much they loved the band and how it was one of the most fun weddings they’ve been too because of the band. From cocktail hour until our final song they were so fun and energetic. Seriously everyone was dancing the ENTIRE night, which is truly what you want on the day of your wedding- your guests celebrating with you! Uptown Groove provide all of the music for my daughter’s wedding: strings for the ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors, recorded music for the first dances under a tent, and then the full band for dancing after dinner in a separate ballroom. Most importantly, the music was awesome throughout the entire night and the dance floor was full til the very last note was played. But also - Seth was great to work with, and having one person coordinating all of the musical components made the planning easier and made the event flow seamlessly. The bride and groom had a vision and he helped bring that to reality, working with them on the music choices and coordinating with the venue and the wedding planner to be sure the logistics worked. He is not only a talented musician and MC, but he’s a very detail oriented professional and he followed thru on the day of the wedding so that the whole event went as the bride and groom requested. Seth and the Uptown Groove members made our Music Festival wedding an absolute dream come true! We spend a lot of time searching for the right band to bring our vision to life. We needed a band ready to play 8 straight hours with multiple locations, setups, switching back and forth seamlessly from live playing to some recorded songs we wanted, play every genre under the sun, and finish off the night with a 3 hour long high energy set that would have even the shyest person dancing, satisfy the wedding classic lovers, but also make a current hits, and hip hop loving Bride and Groom happy…well Uptown Groove more than delivered on every item! I had a lot of notes and requests for the day and not a single detail was missed, not a single guest could resist the pull of the full band set, and we couldn’t step away from the dance floor because every single song was just incredible. Thank you so much for making “Rosella” everything we ever dreamed of and more!

Seth and his lineup of top notch professional musicians not only provided incredible music (jazz during cocktail hour and dance music after dinner), they helped shape our entire event. Through a series of thorough phone calls with Seth, we locked in a timeline for the day. Seth's incredible MC skills kept things on schedule through out the day. I cannot overstate how much more comfortable I felt going into the day because of the confidence I felt in Uptown Groove. The vocalists were incredible, every band member brought such a positive energy to our wedding. The Saxophonist even came onto to the dance floor for an incredibly memorable moment. Beyond Seth's organizational skills, he's an INCREDIBLE guitarist. You are doing yourself a disservice by not hiring Uptown Groove for your event. Yes, you are getting an incredible band, but you are also getting piece of mind and extra hands assisting with your big day.

We had Uptown Groove perform at our wedding this past weekend and had the best experience! Seth was amazing with all the planning leading up to the day - from getting us exactly what we wanted (a jazz trio to play during cocktail hour and the 6 piece band to play during dinner and dancing) to helping us perfect our day’s timeline. The day itself was seamless! They took care of all sound setup for both the ceremony and reception and Harper was the best MC. It was like having a DJ and band all in one! Seth and Uptown Groove are UNREAL. They played at our wedding last weekend and truly stole the show. They were professional, fun, and sounded incredible. Our wedding went absolutely amazing and it was in large part because of the job done by Uptown Groove. The music was engaging, fun, and better than we could imagine. The organization via mic helped keep everything on track as well. The Uptown Groove was hands down the best decision we made during our wedding planning process. Seth communicated with us all throughout the upcoming months/weeks/days before our wedding, as well as the day of. This band was truly amazing and definitely set our wedding over the top! These guys really know how to entertain a crowd, as well as help out with any curve balls that might have been thrown during the reception. We had everyone on the dancefloor the entire night , which is a huge plus and need. Most weddings i have gone to, people are hanging out at the bar and dance floor is usually empty. Not with The Uptown Groove. They made sure that the entire dance floor was PACKED. Highly recommend this band, believe me when i tell you that they will not disappoint. They are AWESOME!!

Uptown groove was an absolute hit at our wedding! We loved working with Seth to plan all the music for our wedding; he is a great person to work with and is very helpful. We really had no idea what we needed in terms of music for a wedding and he was very helpful in guiding us in the right direction. We were so drawn to this group because we knew we wanted live music but we also knew we wanted a variety of genres and eras of music, and uptown groove does a huge variety of music. We asked them to keep the music up beat throughout the entire reception and they did exactly that. We have gotten so many compliments about them and we really feel that they made the night so enjoyable. Their presence throughout the night definitely elevated the experience, from their beautiful performances at our ceremony, to smooth jazz at our cocktail hour, and light music during dinner it brought a certain ambiance to the day that was beyond our imaginations. We highly highly recommend hiring them for any event but especially a wedding, the team is an absolute dream to work with and the music is amazing!

The Uptown Groove were amazing! We had 9 members and had so much fun. We live in Colorado and our wedding was in Geneva, so it can be nerve-wracking booking vendors when you're out of state but so glad I followed reviews and their detailed website because the band was consistently the most complimented aspect of our wedding. Seth is great and easy to work with. Danced all night with numerous guests telling us it was the best wedding band they'd ever heard.

Uptown Groove is your band only if you want the best party possible for your guests. We were stuck when our original band cancelled just 7 weeks prior to our daughter’s wedding. We met Seth and he proceeded to take care of us better than we could ever imagine. He spent hours with us going over song choices, logistics, and the performers. The reception looked like a concert venue with all of the equipment and stage lighting. The MC managed all of the introductions flawlessly. The production man kept the sound volume on point, and the acoustics were crystal clear. The band kept the dance floor full for 4 hours, and countless guests wanted to know who this band was. Easiest check this father of the bride had to write. I just cannot say enough good things about Seth and Uptown Groove!

We absolutely loved having Uptown Groove play at our wedding. They kept the party going all night long and all of our wedding guests keep raving about how great they were. Absolutely the BEST band. Look no further!!!! They sound even better in person than their website online if that's even possible. Incredible singers, saxophone, drummer - all well balanced and at a reasonable volume so people could still have conversations. We were nervous since we hadn't heard them in-person until the wedding but it was an incredible night with the perfect band. The band learned multiple songs for us including Unforgettable, our first dance song. The guests couldn't stop talking about the music even weeks after!!!

Let me just start off by saying that if you are between a DJ and a Band for your event, just go with the Band, you will be thankful you did!! Especially if the band you decide to go with is Uptown Groove! Seth and his team were amazing from the beginning! The Uptown Groove is amazing! The music was excellent. We had an amazing time, and guests were coming up to us the entire night to tell us how great the band was. They also are great at running the wedding. They helped us get back on schedule after starting late. And they were very flexible and responsive when things didn't go according to the original plan.

I could not recommend The Uptown Groove higher. Seth, the bandleader, led an extraordinary band that kept our guests dancing and partying throughout the entire night. He also served as a great MC. He was honest and forthright about what from his decades of experience works and does not work for a successful wedding reception in terms of the order of operations for the night. Many guests said that Uptown Groove was the best wedding band that they have ever heard. He played a great mix of music that ALL generations enjoyed. The Uptown Groove is AMAZING! From the start of working with them, we were planning our upstate NY wedding from Hawaii and they made the process easy and fun. We choose live music for the ceremony which was AMAZING and glad we made this choice! Jazz live music for the cocktail hour and live music during dinner/reception. The band had everyone up out of their seats to dance, even people that don't dance. They also learned our first dance song and we couldn't have been happier with the result. We hired The Uptown Groove in 2020 and after delaying our wedding due to the pandemic we finally had our perfect day last weekend. My husband and I, and all of our guests were blown away by their musical talent. The band performed a variety of hits from pop to smooth jazz to punk rock. Seth took the time to walk through the entire event with us on the phone prior to the big day to ensure everything ran smoothly. This band was outstanding! I had another band booked for my husbands surprise 50th Birthday party. One day before the party my band cancelled due to illness. I didn’t know what to do and was scrambling to find a replacement band last minute. I found this band looking online, and I was connected with Seth from Uptown Groove. He messaged me and said “Let me see what I can do, and make this happen.” Seth went above and beyond and assembled the band for me on such short notice. The band put on such a great show. The party guests and myself were blown away by the music they played, the talented singers, and professionalism. I would highly recommend this band for any of your party events.

Seth (lead of Uptown Groove) was amazing to work with. From the very beginning, he made everything personal. He was incredibly professional. We went to a few shows beforehand and met Seth, Julie and a couple other band members and they played several songs that we wanted for our wedding ceremony upon our requests. During the wedding, Seth organized the timeline of the day, kept everything on track. The entire band rocked so hard that security asked us to leave at the end of the night. Several of our family and friends complimented us for the band and definitely will look to rebook for future events. Ten out of ten would recommend. They made our wedding night.

We hired The Uptown Groove for our employee appreciation event in the summer and then again in the fall for our homecoming weekend. Whether the trio is playing or the full 9 piece band this group is always full of energy and so fun. We had a lot of changes and last minute requests and Seth was flexible, professional and overall great to work with. The band members are all very talented and they played a wide variety of songs.

We hired The Uptown Groove for a 4th of July party/birthday party and they were amazing! Super professional and informative during planning. Extremely responsive with all my questions. The minute they arrived they were professional, respectful and so much fun! They had us dancing the whole time and brought such life and energy to our party. I can’t say enough about the musicians and how incredible they were. We were blown away and definitely recommend them to all our friends!!

Uptown Groove provided an unbelievable performance for our wedding. They were sweet enough to learn a song my dad wrote to perform together as well! They were extremely flexible with any songs we requested- they learned several songs specifically for our wedding! Seth (the main band contact person) provided an immense amount of professionalism given the postponement required by covid 19. He was extremely detailed oriented going over every part of our wedding schedule multiple times prior to the wedding. They weren’t too loud either (as we requested) and even for those not dancing they enjoyed listening to them. We researched bands for months (traveling to multiple groups in person) and are so happy with this decision. We cannot recommend this band highly enough!!!

Great mix of music and quality. I was a guest at my son's wedding and the guests had a great time thanks to the music. It was a great mix of music, the musicians are very talented, and Seth is very nice. He did a lot to honor a request of mine.

Seth Now that I have decompressed from the wedding I just wanted to reach out to the band and say Thank You for your excellent performance on Saturday night. I hope that you had as much fun as we did because I don't think that it could have been any better than the way it turned out. This band was great! They were professional from the beginning and put on a great show. The band leader was very responsive from the beginning and made sure all of my requests were fulfilled. The talent was top notch. They got the party started and kept the dance floor packed the whole night. I would highly recommend them for weddings and/or parties etc.

From the very beginning, Seth was amazing. He provided so much more help than just being our band leader. Any question, concerns or fears I he leading up to the day, I always emailed, texted or called Seth. He actually became more like a friend and personal wedding planner (poor guy lol!!) but he was always more than willing to answer questions, provide insight and was always the first of any of our other vendors to get back to me. When it came closer to our wedding date, COVID hit... naturally I panicked and though everything would be ruined, but yet again, there was Seth being his optimistic self and so encouraging!! He and his band told my husband and I that they absolutely would still want to perform while providing safe distance and appropriate PPE. I almost fainted, I was so happy. Each stressor that followed was harder and harder and one of the biggest things my husband and I struggled with was our food vendor. Seth actually offered to have his wife, Michelle help out with anything we needed, including serving our Buffet for our guests to provide safe distance. Aside from all of the “extras” Seth provided, the band in itself is amazing and was a total hit. I still have people to this day telling me that our wedding was so fun and that they couldn’t believe how amazing the band was. They work to tailor what kind of music you listen to you and their voices are simply AMAZING. They were with us from beginning to end- provided live music for our ceremony at 2pm and then played at cocktail hour and played all night at our reception until like 1130. We all wanted them to just stay all night!! Lol! They picked the best songs and they interacted with all of us, making us all truly feel so special that they were there. When you hire uptown groove, you are hiring more than just a band. You are hiring friends that truly want your day to be the best. Friends that will offer help in anyway they can to make sure your day is perfect and stress free. Seth didn’t have to do any of the things I listed. He could have just agreed to bring our band and left it at that- but he didn’t, and those are the people and vendors that truly stick out and make you want to recommend them to everyone you know. Every girl getting married needs a Seth and everyone getting married needs uptown groove. They literally made my wedding so memorable despite COVID and all the crazy things that go into planning a wedding. They made my wedding absolutely perfect. I recommend this band to anyone and everyone, I promise you will not be disappointed in anyway, shape, or form :).

The Uptown Groove played my daughter’s wedding. I helped my daughter with much of the planning and had the opportunity to do site visits and in-person meetings with Seth from Uptown Groove. I was very impressed with his willingness to meet with us twice and on the phone a number of times as well to assist in planning and coordination. We didn’t use a wedding planner and Seth added a tremendous amount of value in this department. His guidance and experience was invaluable to us. As far as the music and the musicians went, well, they were highly talented and highly professional. I guess we expected this from a relatively established and popular band, but where were we really impressed was how tight the band was. The horn section was so impressive and so were the singers. They were all very polished. Songs ran into each other with no space between songs, just like a DJ. It was clear they knew how to keep a dance floor hopping. The songs were all very popular from both my decades (60’s and 70’s) and our daughter’s current pop/rock music. They played everything and all guests were very happy. Live music was the way to go and it ended up making the day! Seth also MC’d and DJ’d and this was great. He kept my daughter’s timeline perfect so she could relax and enjoy her day. (This helped me relax too, having the confidence that everything was going smoothly) I can’t say enough about how professional this band is. Definitely book them for your family’s wedding or private event!!!

This band literally rocks in more ways than just their music! They are great to deal with, they play to the crowd, if they feel the crowd is pumped to dance, they keep it going! All night! I've had them twice now and I could not have been more happy with their performances. New Years Eve will not be the same this year without them!

We love this band and have had nothing but great parties because of them. Seth is so easy going and the band is so professional. They are a joy to work with. They are fun and keep the tempo going. If you’re looking for a band to play at your special event, stop, and book these guys immediately! We knew we wanted a band for our wedding from day one. After doing some research and reading many reviews, we narrowed it down between The Uptown Groove and one other band. After contacting Uptown Groove and connecting with Seth (band member+manager), the decision was made. Seth still encouraged us to come see them live at their next show and told us he would hold our date until then (beyond accommodating!) I already knew this was our wedding band based off of the videos of them on their website and my conversation with Seth, but we agreed and went to see them live. They were fantastic, and we felt even more excited about our decision. Throughout the entire process Seth was an absolute gem to work with. He was prompt, extremely detail-oriented and knowledegable. We would conenct through phone or email on a regular basis just to make sure we were on the same page and staying on top of important details before the big day. Seth was so kind and often provided so many good tips and pieces of advice along the way in regards to all things wedding day. You know, those things you never think of because this might be your first time planning a wedding! This band is filled with incredible talent, playing a wide range of music to fit your needs. They took our song requests very seriously, and created an amazing set list that included exactly what we wanted! Although from Rochester, they travelled up to Buffalo for our wedding. So, Buffalo couples, look no further! Most importantly, their skills are amazing. We had an 8 piece band and they blew us away! Choosing The Uptown Groove for our wedding was one of our best decisions. Whether you were on the floor dancing, or just sitting back in your seat because maybe dancing is not your thing, you received quite the show. As we said our hugs and goodbyes throughout the night, one of the most common things we heard was, “WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS BAND??? THEY ARE AMAZING!” Three weeks later, and we are still getting incredible feedback about the show The Uptown Groove put on at our wedding. I highly recommend them!
