The space itself is beautiful, however I had to reschedule my wedding due to COVID, and they could not have been more difficult to work with. They were more worried about getting us to pay everything up front, while only offering highly restrictive dates to reschedule with the same price, which made it practically impossible with current CDC guidelines. I was so exhausted with dealing with them during an already difficult time, that I chose to forfeit my deposit than have to continue working with them. Even beforehand, during our walk through, the main contact was showing the space to others, and was barely available to talk to vendors or my coordinator. Just bad priorities all around.
The Variety Works was a beautiful venue and just what we wanted for our wedding day. However, as much as we loved the venue, I do not recommend the day of coordinator that comes with it. From the beginning, communication was virtually nonexistent. She over books herself and if you book a wedding on a Sunday, be prepared to be treated as unimportant. She had three events the weekend of our wedding and was quick to remind us that she had been there all weekend and was overwhelmed. Most of all,, I was SHOCKED by the fact that when our wedding concluded an hour and a half early, she rushed us out the door, and locked the venue and left before we could make sure we got everything without even so much as a goodbye or warning. She constantly questioned our vendors whom she had not worked with previously. Had a terrible and completely nonprofessional attitude with the groom's mother and the decorator.
When my husband and I walked into the venue when we first went to tour, we already knew it was where we would say "I do." The biggest perk of choosing this venue? Having Chasity as a day of coordinator! She really helped us throughout the whole process and helped make sure that our special day went the way we planned! I would highly recommend this venue for your big day!
The most beautiful venue I have ever seen, and the price was incredible for how great the venue is. Even more than the venue, the coordinator (Chasity) made our day so beyond special. We could not have picked a better venue, and we live an hour away. Chasity and her team are very good at what they do, and I am glad I trusted them to make the day run smoothly. GET MARRIED HERE. It's amazing!
We had the best wedding at this venue in the charming town of Madison! It has so much character on its own, so we chose not to use a lot of decorations! We had an August wedding so we had an indoor ceremony, but we took so many beautiful pictures outside of the venue as well. The wedding coordinator, Chasity, pays attention to every detail and makes everything run smoothly leading up to the wedding and especially on the day of the wedding! She is seriously the sweetest person! She was there from the moment we arrived at the bridal suite that morning until the send off, including putting on my reception shoes for me while I was eating dinner before the reception starts :) Her husband Blake and the rest of her "day of" crew are pretty amazing as well! I highly recommend renting the James Madison Inn right next door!! It was definitely the BEST DAY EVER!
This venue was an absolute dream come true for our May wedding. We wanted an outdoor wedding with an indoor reception. The Variety Works has a gorgeous, rustic interior and the Lawn outside is very nice, too. The venue really doesn't need much decoration because it is really spectacular on its own!! Sadly, it rained on our wedding day, but the coordinator at the venue, Chasity, did an amazing job in switching to an indoor wedding at the last minute and it went off without a hitch. Chasity did an incredible job with our timeline and made our wedding day go very smooth. Great pricing, service and we were not stuck using their vendors. It is a beautiful venue, has a rustic southern feel and beautiful surroundings.
The venue was beautiful! The coordinator, Chasity, was amazing!! The day could not have run more smoothly!!
Hands down the most magical setting I could have asked for. Chasity (the coordinator) was incredible and I had complete trust in her to take care of me and all the tiny details on my special day and I was blown away by her work. The venue is basically pre decorated so all you need to do is add a few flowers and the natural beauty of the place sets the romantic vibe you're looking for. It's casual but classy, comfortable (hello A/C), spacious, and the best setting for photos.
There is no better place in GA to get married and no better person to run your wedding so the combination is absolute perfection.
Variety Works was amazing!! We used Chasity, the venue coordinator, as our day of planner as well, and she was amazing. She's very good at what she does and the day went flawlessly. The venue looked beautiful. It is so beautiful on its own that you really don't need tons of decorations, but we were also able to bring in everything we wanted and customize it just how we wanted. We got married in June with 160 guests. The venue was perfectly air conditioned, and it fit 160 easily.
Chasity and the Variety Works team were incredible to work with! They made sure my wedding was exactly what I had dreamt it would be my entire life! They listened to everything I wanted and made sure it happened! Whenever a hiccup would happen during wedding planning (they are going to happen no matter what precautions you take), Chasity re-assured me that everything was going to be absolutely perfect, and it was! Y’all seriously consider having your wedding here, you won’t regret it!
This venue was an absolute dream come true. Our wedding was in December, so we wanted a beautiful, indoor venue. The Variety Works has a gorgeous, rustic interior and the property outside is very nice, too. The venue really doesn't need much decoration because it is really spectacular on its own!! The coordinator at the venue, Chasity, did an incredible job with our timeline and made our wedding day go very smooth. She also helped me decorate and made sure that the venue looked beautiful for our special day! It did rain on the wedding day, but there were some great indoor spots to take pictures. If I could do it all again, I'd do it the same and get married here again and again!!!
This venue was absolutely amazing! My wedding was at the end of September, and we couldn't have asked for a better day, especially since we chose to have an outdoor ceremony. One thing I loved about this venue was that its inclement weather plan was equally as beautiful, so either way, rain or shine, our ceremony would be great! We used Chasity as our planner/coordinator and she was so wonderful and easy to work with. I did not have to think about a single thing the day of the wedding and everything, as far as I knew, went off without a single hitch... Just how it should be for a bride on her wedding day. Another great feature of this venue is that it's centrally located in downtown Madison and the venue itself is adjacent to The James Madison Inn, making it incredibly convenient. We did not have to drive anywhere the whole weekend, which was awesome! There are also so many gorgeous and unique places to take photos around the venue, Inn, and the downtown area that your photos are sure to be nothing less than stunning, just like ours! I highly recommend scheduling a time to meet with Chasity and tour the venue and Inn and see for yourself what they have to offer.
I just got married at Variety Works on May 13th, 2017 and I was SO pleased with our choice. We needed somewhere big enough for our 280 person wedding and it was PERFECT. The building is beautiful (especially after receiving a very recent facelift). The in-house coordinator, Chasity, is AMAZING. We could not have done it without her. She is a wonderful person and so gifted at her job. The staff is friendly and helpful. There isn't parking at the venue, but it was really easy to hire out valet. I have nothing bad to say. It was awesome.
I am the mother of the bride. First let me say we love the venue itself. It's gorgeous! Plenty of room, fabulous atmosphere, perfect location (Madison GA is great! ) Dance floor is wonderful. Inside the venue and the outside grounds are gorgeous too for photo's. Unfortunately there were some issues: 1) July wedding - the AC could not keep the place cool. We were SO hot - very uncomfortable. But for a wedding Sept - early June - it would be wonderful. 2) The contract states you must use La Petit Jardin as the florist. They are WAY too expensive for the quality of flowers. I was so disappointed. I would suggest telling them you want the option to get other quotes from other florists. 3) The venue comes with a wedding coordinator however I would again recommend hiring your own day of wedding coordinator. The one who comes with the venue is the florist, and we had several communication issues, no show for appointments, and we always felt like we were the ones leading the discussions of what to do & when to do it. So it will cost more but hiring a professional day of wedding coordinator would be best (Holly from Season Events is FABULOUS!!!!!) . So again - we love the venue - would want to hold our wedding there again but would do a few things differently. The town of Madison is great. The James Madison Inn & Conference Center - their people and place are GREAT! They have a bridal room that is perfect for the girls to get ready in before the ceremony. Oh and the crew that sets up, tear down and does the switch between the ceremony & reception - they are all great too. . Hope this info helps :)
We used this venue for both our ceremony and reception and it was perfect! All of our guests commented on how beautiful it is and I couldn't agree more! They do require that you use their florist, but we were extremely happy with them. They worked within our budget and were exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend everything about Variety Works!
I absolutely loved working with Debbie, Linda, Laura and their team at LE Petit Jardin & The Variety Works to make my wedding perfect. They were flexible, creative, responsive, and their work was just incredible!
