We didn’t know the area and unfortunately that time that we used as a buffer was taken from us to find parking, unloading and getting into your apartment. I think from here out we will change arrivals for a bigger buffer. We did bring 3 girls for hair and 1 for makeup but let me explain. I was the lead hairstylist on your team. It was only supposed to be myself originally and I was bringing trainee. The one that was just there not doing anything was learning by observation. I normally try to bring one of my trainees with me to weddings to watch and sometimes do hair if I think they need to step in. She wasn’t ready to do multiple heads of hair. The other girl I brought because our time was limited and I wanted to make sure we were doing quality work while getting you all done in a timely matter. She did have to leave early unfortunately and it was due to a funeral. I would never let anyone leave early unless it was some sort of family emergency. My fault for not letting you know. Jyl can handle a lot of girls and her timing per person is much shorter than mine. That’s why it was only her. As far as the coffee goes, I deeply apologize for not getting the chance to pay you. I will be sending over $25 to you for the cost of the drinks. Unfortunately it was an oversight and was never intentional. I did try to let your planner know that we can’t work with a specific schedule because hair services take different times for different people. While some people take 20 mins, others will take 45. Going back and forth between the wedding planner was a little challenging as numbers kept getting mixed up. We actually went into the day a little unsure of how many we were doing. When we heard your mom was getting services done, I had to bring up that she was not paid for. Our policy is that everything is paid for before we arrive. Unfortunately when we don’t enforce this, the extra fees aren’t paid that day and I can’t pay my girls for the work they have done until that person is paid for. All of your girls looked beautiful in the pictures. I apologize if they felt Jyl pressured them into darker makeup. We do encourage darker makeup only because in pictures if it is too light, it looks like you have nothing on. This is from feedback from previous brides and bridesmaids. So while we encourage it for pictures, we never pressure anyone. Trial times can be one of the hardest parts of my job unfortunately. Trying to get 3 schedules to line up when dealing with work, kids and family can be challenging so I apologize for any inconvenience that may have caused you.
