The Venue at Highlander

The venue itself was beautiful. The glass wall opens, the patio was beautiful, and the layout is perfect for a sunset event. We did have a few major problems though. When signing the contract, there is a section stating they might be showing the venue during set up. I thought that would be communicated to us (if/when people would be there) and it wasn’t, multiple strangers walking around unguided, sitting at our tables, and asking us questions. We also had belongings on a cart that were moved to a different cart without that being told to us. Our personal belongings were thrown and not respected, they threw an open water container right next to my reception dress which luckily didn’t get wet. We also had $300 stolen out of my purse. When paying for security I would expect my items to be safe, but there were also many people wandering through the venue so we had to borrow cash for vendor tips from our family. Again the venue was beautiful we are happy with the location and look, but communication and security could be improved.
