Our daughter's wedding reception here July 12 was fantastic! The comments from guests were "classy," "beautiful," and "fun." The backdrops for photos, which we'll share, are picturesque and charming. The staff work hard and coordinate well with all the vendors who come on site. It was the best and biggest party we've ever hosted. Thanks to Jessie and Scott for their professionalism and sweet personalities.

Even with a mostly rainy wedding day, Maison du Lac is sooo beautiful! Just how I had been dreaming of it from our first visit! There are so many photo opportunities around the property, both indoors and outdoors. The Venue manager, Jessie is a superstar! She was always very responsive, friendly, and super helpful. She was basically my lifeline throughout the whole wedding planning process. The rest of the venue staff was also fantastic on the wedding day! Booking Maison du Lac was absolutely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!

My husband and I got married here almost two years ago. We were very young and working on a very limited budget as we were both finishing school and we were paying for the wedding ourselves. Relatively, this venue is very cheap compared to others we looked at (I'm not sure how the price compares two years later). Looking back at old emails, I see they even gave us $1000 discount. Where the venue gets extremely overpriced is they make you choose from specific caterers (in 2023 there were 5 options) that charge astronomical amounts. We were having a larger wedding (150 people) and did not have the budget for catering (the cheapest one estimated over $5000 for tacos in 2023). We even considered the idea of having only appetizers and desserts so everything could be more cost effective for us and the venue told us they would advise against that, so we were pressured into serving food. We had many issues with them before and during the wedding. I repeatedly told them most of our guests will not be drinking alcohol at the wedding. They kept telling me I was required to purchase the larger alcohol package due to the size of our wedding. Most of our family members do not drink, but they insisted they may drink "since it is a special occasion". Even on the day of our wedding they found my husband before the ceremony and told him they were nervous they did not have enough alcohol on hand for 150 people and he had to remind them that around 50-75 people would be drinking. In addition, we bought sodas for our families and had cleared this with them before the wedding. This way, we could provide a free drink option since we had a cash bar. The day of the wedding we were told we could no longer provide sodas that the cash bar was selling because it would compete with their business, so the money we spent on the soda for our family was wasted because of their lack of communication. Another problem we had was the barn door was locked as we walked back down the aisle as husband and wife. We were embarrassed as we tried to open it in front of our family members and it would not open. It was not communicated to us that we would be walking back a different way since we walked down the aisle through the barn doors. Due to our limited budget, I feel as if we were not treated as they treat their other couples. Other couples got cute Instagram posts about how they met and their wedding photos posted to the Maison du Lac page. While this venue may seem cheap, they are not willing to work with a small budget. We were only engaged for a few months, and I think they only agreed to host our wedding because they knew the date was not going to be filled and it is better to get some money than have an empty weekend. The grounds are so beautiful and make wonderful wedding photos, but if you're on a budget you will probably have a more stress-free wedding somewhere else. If I could redo my wedding, I would not get married here because they try to tell you what your wedding should look like. Expect to pay easily over $10,000 here for venue rental, catered food (through one of their required caterers), and bar. I wish they would have told us in the beginning they could not accommodate our needs and it would have saved us a lot of stress.

The venue is gorgeous and we loved how you can fit everything in at one location. Our guests loved the deck over the water and the big windows make it feel more inviting. Booking process is very easy and quick with responses. There were more rules and processes we had to follow that were not brought up when we booked the venue, but we were still able to enjoy the day.

The Venue of Maison Du Lac was absolutely beautiful. I’m so happy that I chose to have my wedding at this beautiful place. Everyone was super friendly and made the process so fun and easy! They worked with me through the chaos and made my day so beautiful and perfect!!

The Venue at Maison Du Lac exceeded all my expectations. The property itself is beautiful, serene and well kept. As a long-distance bride, the pictures did it justice! Jessie and her team were fantastic. They were so professional, kind and helpful. From the beginning to the end, Jessie was very quick to respond to any questions I had and was very detailed about anything she needed me to provide. This helped make my planning process smooth and stress-free! My wedding day was an absolute dream! I cannot recommend MDL enough!!

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the venue at Maison du Lac. Not only was it picturesque, but it was also well designed as a wedding venue. The staff were extremely professional, and catered to our every need. We really appreciated how quickly they responded to all of our questions, and how readily available they were to chat with us at any point in the year between when we signed our contract and had our wedding. They were also experienced with many of the vendors that we used, and were therefore able to act as a liaison for us in many regards. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and highly recommend this venue to any couple looking to get married in or around St. Louis.

We booked this venue on a Sunday because the price was so valuable. Given how beautiful the place is we were surprised when we saw the asking price to book it, especially in the summer. We looked at probably 20+ other venues and this was by far the best price. They communicated promptly each time we reached out to them, were reliable with any questions we had, and seemed like people we would simply enjoy being around. The tour went smoothly (obviously the place was top tier) and after we left we only got more excited. They have a list of caterers that we had to choose from for dinner and we chose SugarFire - if you like BBQ then I highly recommend it. All in all our wedding day was taken care of to every degree we could have asked for and all of our guests liked the venue as well. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

We could not have been happier choosing to have our wedding here. It was an absolutely beautiful day, we felt very taken care of between the venue coordinator and property managers. They were careful to make sure my husband and I didn't see each other the day of since we didn’t do a first look which meant a lot to us. The venue itself is breathtaking, especially for a fall wedding, but we felt like their thoughtfulness really put this place over the top. Leading up to the wedding they were very clear communicating all of the details and keeping us on track with what we needed to make the day run smoothly.

The Venue at Maison Du Lac was an absolute dream for our wedding. The barn ceremony location is rustic yet elegant. The indoor reception space is simple and modern but absolutely beautiful. The venue in its entirety was amazing. The bridal room and the grooms cabin were fun and comfortable to get ready in. The venue staff was amazing and accommodating. Jessie was very quick to answer any questions we had. The staff helped make our wedding go seamlessly and we had an absolute perfect wedding.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Maison du Lac, and, oh, what a wonderful day it was! Our ceremony was outside on the concrete slab, and the reception was setup just perfectly. Jessie was a phenomenal help day of, as well as, throughout the entire process. The promptness of replies, and thoughtfulness in all the details helped keep our stress levels low. We could not recommend this venue enough!!

We were very happy with the Venue at Maison du Lac. The venue itself is beautiful and has multiple options for the ceremony. We chose the lawn and loved having the pond in our background. Everything you need is right there, so we were able to do the ceremony and reception in one place and also use the bridal and groom’s suite to get ready before the wedding. Shauna was our day of coordinator and she was great in helping everything run smoothly as well as both of the property managers. They have a long list of items you can use for decorating which is an awesome addition and the llamas is an awesome touch as well! Throughout the wedding planning process, Jessica was always super quick to respond to any questions and gave so many suggestions when we were unsure of something. This was really a great venue and we couldn’t be happier with how our wedding turned out!

An absolute dream of a wedding venue. The venue itself is amazing - has everything to offer including multiple ceremony places, bride/groom cabins, reception hall. The entire venue is beautiful -every single spot is a beautiful place for pictures. Jessie and the rest of the MDL team are the kindest vendors -so sweet, accommodating, and easy to work with. They helped make our day a dream! We couldn’t recommend them enough!!

I couldn't imagine having my wedding anywhere else! My day was absolutely perfect. Jessie thought of everything and made the day run so smooth. I would recommend and have recommended this venue! You won't regret the beautiful landscape and private venue.

Our wedding day was PERFECT, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing venue! After searching through different venues, we were so happy to find this gem, it’s gorgeous and really great for the price. The venue is absolutely beautiful and was perfect for our photos, ceremony, and reception. Jessie, the venue coordinator, was fantastic—so helpful and always on top of things. Planning was a breeze with her, and her communication was great throughout the process. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect wedding spot. Totally worth it!

The venue was a beautiful setting for my daughter’s wedding! We loved having all Of the getting ready, ceremony and reception all in one place. Jessica was very patient and helpful in all the planning months. The day was very hot and it should be noted that only the one room in the bridal suite is air conditioned and the guys cabin need to be turned way down to not be warm. It is difficult to get all of your stuff out of the getting ready space before going to the ceremony so have a plan and possibly “bags” to organize the stuff for later in the night. There are many spots for great photos. The reception space was cool, roomy and perfect for our 150 size wedding.

Wow, I have so many positives for choosing this venue it's hard to list them all! The grounds are stunning, everyone is so kind and easy to work with, and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day at Maison Du Lac. Jessie was so organized and flexible with us when we communicated which made the planning process very smooth. The bridal and groomsman suites were so much fun! The ceremony church was perfect and fit everyone comfortably, and the reception space was the hosted the most amazing party! We were able to take so many on site pictures from start to finish. The only criticism I have was that I wish we could've stayed in the venue longer as I never wanted the night to end. Would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have the most perfect space for their wedding!

Maison du Lac was a beautiful venue for our wedding reception. There are plenty of good photo spaces, both inside and outside incase it rains. Jessie, the day of coordinator, is fantastic, as well!

We had our reception at this venue and it could not have been more perfect. Jessie was easy to get ahold of and offered amazing advice for my big day! she was easy to talk to also! I would recommend this venue to anyone who was having a wedding. the campus was stunning. We can't go wrong with an indoor and outdoor space!!

I cannot say enough about Jessie and the staff at Maison du Lac!! Our wedding day was perfect...from the gorgeous lake setting, the outdoor spaces, the modern indoor facility to llamas for pictures! And the beautiful facility for the bridal party to prepare for the day was so nice.

As a wedding planner, I highly recommend The Venue at Maison du Lac! Its modern yet rustic charm lends itself to a variety of wedding aesthetics, and I love that couples have multiple ceremony locations to choose from. The venue is well maintained, from the bridal and groom suites to the reception space and outdoor barn. The exterior grounds are meticulously maintained so that couples are able to enjoy the beautiful lake views and luscious tree lines that border the property. The catering options for the venue are wonderful as well. Couples have the option to choose from a variety of caterers and menu options spanning a variety of budgets. From a vendor perspective, Jessie, the venue manager, is fabulous! She has great energy and passion for her work and is proactive in helping couples finalize all of their day-of details like floor plans and vendor arrival times. As a wedding planner, I felt confident working with Jessie and appreciated her above and beyond work ethic and willingness to assist in any way needed. I look forward to working with her again!

Throughout the whole process Jessie was a pleasure to work with. She genuinely cares and it’s obvious how excited she is to make the day amazing. The venue was fantastic, and the llamas are an excellent feature! Our day would not be what it was without this fabulous place and Jessie! Date: October 2023 Wedding Size: 55 people Ceremony: Barn A beautiful venue and the manager Jessie was fantastic to work with. She helped work out a ton of details beforehand and then was available throughout the day to help coordinate. She was there to keep us on schedule, get everyone in place, and ensure we had everything we needed. Having a smaller wedding (55 people), I was a little concerned about the reception space feeling too large or empty. We only had 7 tables (about 8 people each), but Jessie spaced the tables and decor around to feel well balanced and fill the room. The suites were well equipped for getting ready and beautiful in themselves. Every angle of the grounds was gorgeous and well kept. Peaceful and not able to hear/see the road the venue is off of. Plenty of parking with huge lot and extra lot for wedding party. The llamas were adorable and a huge hit with guests and made for great photos. Recommend!

Jessie was so extremely helpful in suggesting everything from vendors to our timeline to all of our day-of details, and we could not have done it without her. We also loved how streamlined the process was with Ces & Judy's as our caterers at their own venue. We had the best day of our lives at MDL!

This was our dream wedding venue! Everything was gorgeous, and the staff were friendly and helpful and ran everything so smoothly. It was a nice touch that the venue provides many pretty decoration options which saved us a lot of money and stress! And of course, the llamas were one of our favorite parts of the day!

We did a lot of research and everyone agreed this venue worked well with our budget and style. What we did not know was how devoted the entire staff was to making sure this day was perfect. Jessie along with other staff members to make sure this day was perfect. Jessie listened to our request and orchestrated a perfect event. Above and beyond what you can even imagine. From advice to execution Jessie really knows what she is doing. If you have the opportunity to work with this venue and Jessie you will not be disappointed.

The Venue at Maison du Lac was everything we would have asked for! Jessie (venue coordinator) was amazing and helpful at every step of the way. She was very quick to respond to any questions that we had. You can tell the the Venue at Maison du Lac cares about the each couple that chooses them for their special day. The venue itself is gorgeous, clean, and welcoming. Our guests complimented how beautiful the grounds were. Fishing in lake was the special touch that the groomsmen loved. The bridal suite and groom's cabin were great amenities. We could not have asked for a better wedding day!

I’m obsessed with The Venue at Maison Du Lac and the staff who works there! I still remember the tour i took two years ago and why I choice this Venue. I picked MDL because of the variety of setting they have. From a rustic chic barn to a modern reception area you don’t get bored with this venue site. We have so many amazing pictures and so many different vibes.

Beautiful venue. Loved the on campus suites. Everything is one location. Management was helpful with timing of everything (especially day of).

When we first booked with the Venue it automatically meant we had booked our bar and our caterer as well. This was so amazing and relieved so much stress from the get go. They were so easy to communicate with and get ahold of. If I had any questions, I received an email with answers within 30 minutes or so! Jessie and Candance helped me out tremendously and gave me any advice they had, they even got to know us on a more personal level which made it so much easier! Ces and Judy’s food was OUTSTANDING! Overall, I had so many compliments on the venue and the food and staff after our wedding, many said it was the best wedding & reception they’ve ever attended! The venue fit my husband and I so well, it had an even mix of barn/rustic, modern and even an older traditional stone building. Getting married with the lake in the background was so beautiful! I highly recommend this venue, you won’t regret working with this team!

This venue is amazing! The staff was so great to work with during the entire planning process, and on the day of everything went so smooth thanks to them. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous and provides ample scenery for photos. The suites to get ready in were very accommodating. If you are looking for a venue where you can spend the entire day, this is it. Great suites for bride/groom, multiple spots to chose from for the ceremony, and the reception hall is excellent. I cannot say enough good things about this place, I highly recommend it!

WOW!! My wedding was about two weeks ago and I’m still on cloud 9 from the day. We did a carnival theme wedding and the MDL team was truly incredible to work with and make all our dreams come true! The space was clean, The food was phenomenal, people are still texting me about how good it was! With aces and Judy’s catering you can not go wrong, plus we were able to play around and create a really fun menu together! Leading up to the event the team was so kind and easy to work with. Wedding day, everything was smooth sailing! Getting ready on site in the bridal suite and grooms cottage we’re perfect for our group, no added stress of getting there on time. The staff working the venue also had some fun with colorful ties and clown noses to go into the theme, which was a total surprise! The Maison Du Lac is such a special place, a gorgeous venue, tucked away and secluded- it’s so calming! Book this venue, you won’t be sorry! Special shout out to Kara and Jessie for making our wedding day so magical!

This venue is what dreams are made of. Between the rolling country hills and the lake and the charming vintage house and the barn with the crystal chandeliers and, of course, the beautiful, modern ballroom - this venue has IT ALL. Any direction you want to go for your wedding, The Venue at Maison Du Lac can accommodate. I was drawn to the venue initially when I wanted to have a modern, summer wedding, but as my wedding ideas changed, the venue continued to fit it. The property owner was even willing to accommodate a date change when my (now) husband and I decided to move up our wedding to an winter date. From the beginning, everyone we spoke to at MDL were so helpful and the venue truly ended up being beautiful! We had the best day. There isn’t anything I would’ve changed about our reception.

Everything about The Venue at the Maison du Lac and Ces and Judy's was PERFECT! As soon as we arrived on site we knew it was where we wanted to get married. Every single staff member that we came into contact with was extremely helpful, professional and FUN! Darla our coordinator was especially extraordinary. She took over our event two weeks before the date and what she accomplished was nothing short of amazing! And the food...I still have dreams about the chicken scampi and potato skins!! The venue is absolutely breathtaking and accommodated needs we didn't even know we would have!
