The Venue at Roseoak

I was married at Roseoak yesterday. Y’all, I kid you not it was the most relaxing and fun day of my life!!!! I could not believe how well everything was taking care of by Mrs. Lisa and the AMAZING staff. Mrs Lisa was a miracle worker, and made the planning process stress free. I have been super busy with school, and Mrs. Lisa was able to handle everything for me planning wise. It was so peaceful. The actually wedding day was so perfect. My flowers were beautiful. She got down and dirty in the woods day of to find me the most beautiful vines for the arbor (what other venue coordinator would do that????) and found moss to put down the isle so it wouldn’t be smooshy due to rain. The decorations were everything I could have dreamed of. The food was amazing (done by Mrs. Lisa sister in law). DJ red zone was perfect. Rudy Melancon was the best photographer. Y’all it was the dream team. If I could go back in time. I would not change a thing. The day was perfection thanks to Mrs Lisa. Everyone should get married at Roseoak. It’s so much more than just a venue.

Cannot imagine having a more stress-free, relaxing, beautifully planned-down-to-every-detail wedding! Lisa and her entire staff made it their mission to make every minute of planning and especially the wedding day a truly perfect day to treasure and took away all the stress of managing details and worrying about things being done correctly! By relying on her extensive experience, we were able to relax, savor every minute, and enjoy the MARRIAGE without fretting over anything! Many of the people who came to my daughter’s wedding said it was the most beautiful (and most FUN!) wedding they have ever attended! If you are looking for a spectacular venue that includes SO much of what others don’t and someone who will truly treat your bride like they would their own daughter, look no farther than the Venue at Roseoak!

I have no words to express how great our experience was with this venue. Everything was simply perfect. The decorations and the flower work just blew us away. We are still getting compliments months later. We booked this venue a year in advance - and I am certain Lisa must have received hundreds of calls/texts by the time our big day arrived. Every call and text was responded to very quickly. Lisa, Lexie, and everyone else we encountered during throughout the planning and the actual wedding day became like family to us - because they treated us like family - like our wedding was the biggest wedding of the year! My daughter says her only regret is that the day went by too fast, and her only wish is that she could relive the day over again. If you are looking for an unforgettable wedding from start to finish this is your place. Go for a visit and if you book I can promise you - YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

I must say that Roseoak is a beautiful venue with the potential for a dream wedding. Regretfully, our experience was less than perfect. After meeting with Lisa on several occasions , asking questions, and discussing details, there were numerous things that did not live up to our expectations. I will only address the most disappointing. Flowers. Despite the bride sending pictures and describing what she wanted, Lisa did not follow through. The ceremony site was not decorated as requested. The bridesmaids bouquets were beautiful (even though they unknowingly also had to be used as centerpieces for 7 tables) and the corsages and boutonnieres were pitiful. The bride had planned to use an outside florist but Lisa assured her she could give her what she wanted so she agreed. Big Mistake. The only other issue I will go into is the fact that although Lisa assured us we had the venue until midnight (wedding was at 4:30) by 7:30 her staff had stacked chairs and turned out lights in the reception rooms while the bridal party were dancing out by the pool. Lisa is a sweet lady and seemed to want to please but as far as our experience, she came up short.
