A BALLROOM IN JANESVILLE, WI
Located in the heart of historic downtown Janesville, Wisconsin, The Venue covers the entire corner of Main Street. Standing four-stories high with towering windows and spectacular balconies, The Venue was completely remodeled in 2015. The historic building dates back to 1870 when it was originally a Methodist church. The Venue offers three indoor spaces for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
Bower City Ballroom. This space has everything it takes to make those first-look photos unforgettable. A huge vaulted ceiling with a spectacular indoor balcony, crowned with exposed mahogany beams, adds amazing architectural details to the Main Ballroom. Giant, arched windows allow plenty of light to grace the gorgeous carpeted aisle, while the raised altar gives each ceremony a brilliant stage. Lined with chairs or set with round tables, the Main Ballroom makes the ideal space for indoor ceremonies and receptions of up to 200 guests.
The Second Empire Room. Located on the second floor, across from the Bower City Ballroom, it makes the perfect multipurpose room. With wonderful natural light coming from giant windows overlooking downtown Janesville, it’s a photographer’s dream. It is the perfect location for your bridal suite, kid’s area, or secondary bar location. With room for 40 guests, it’s also an ideal spot for a baby or bridal shower or smaller, more intimate events.
The Balcony. This area is lined with mahogany railings and allows access to The 1870’s Room on the upper floor of the building. The Balcony provides additional seating for ceremonies and reception, and guests will enjoy the unique view of the Ballroom.
The 1870’s Room. Located on the third floor, this area has glossy hardwood floors and chandeliers that make it elegant enough for both smaller ceremonies and receptions. A unique, built-in bar is located here, offering an ideal location for your cocktail hour, reception or smaller events. The 1870’s Room has seating for upwards of 80 guests and giant windows with a view of downtown Janesville. Historic architectural features in this room include a gorgeous tin ceiling and elegant, draped windows.

The Venue is a stunning location for a wedding. When I saw the space for the first time, I knew I had to have my wedding there. Where else can you get married in a place that looks like a church without it actually being a church? The renovations made the space so accommodating with the brand new elevator and beautiful bathrooms. Our guests really loved the outdoor balconies as well for an opportunity for some fresh air.
AMAZING. Everything was perfect and Natalie is the best to work with.
