The Venue is a newly renovated building that was built in 1906 and is located in the historic district of downtown Sedalia, MO. Our location allows you and your bridal party to be within walking distance of Hotel Bothwell and several areas for photo opportunities after the ceremony.
The space is a modern/industrial theme and features exposed brick, the original punched tin ceilings and the original hardwood floors. Tables and chairs are provided for up to 200 guests and the space can serve for both the ceremony and reception.
Our luxurious bride and groom suites are the largest in Missouri and offer you plenty of space to prepare for your special day. The bride's suite features seven vanities, separate dressing rooms and plenty of natural light. The groom's suite features a dressing area, a pool and card table and cable TV to help keep the gentlemen occupied until it's time to say, "I do"!
My husband and I began the renovation of The Venue in March of 2018. We've put countless hours into the success of our venue and are so proud of the outcome! Every inch of The Venue was carefully thought out so that it may offer a relaxed and unforgettable event.

Our guests have raved about how beautiful The Venue was. Michelle even supplied flowers to decorate our cake because I had forgotten and I wasn’t able to go down at the time the vendor arrived. I didn’t even realize until she sent me a picture of it so I could see and this is something I appreciated so much that wasn’t asked for. We are very thankful Michelle helped everything go smoothly and perfect for the day. She truly went above and beyond for us.

any text message questions, and was very knowledgeable with everything we needed. On top of everything, she was so kind and gracious through the entire process. We never felt like we were an imposition with our (many) needs. We found out very last minute about a festival happening outside the building on our date, and Michelle was the one that informed us and she already had a plan in place to help mitigate any disruption it may have caused. She was awesome!
The building itself was also perfect for the wedding reception. My sister (the bride) absolutely loved the "getting ready" area upstairs for the wedding party. The groom and his groomsman also really enjoyed the hangout area for the men and it was well utilized. The lights and the building were beautiful for my sister's spring wedding. The tables and the chairs are provided and the configuration comes with the price. Couldn't have been more pleased that my sister chose The Venue for her wedding reception!

ture while adding a modern, industrial feel to the venue. Great location and perfect spots for pictures all throughout downtown Sedalia. A huge selling point for us were the bridal and groom suites. They are spacious and beautifully designed. The bridal suite has plenty of natural light and spots to get ready while the groom suite has plenty of entertainment (darts, pool, TV, etc). I also love that Michelle allows food and drink in the suites. Our whole wedding party LOVED it and had the best time getting ready!
Michelle as a venue owner is prompt, professional, and caring. There was never a time that I had a question that wasn’t answered, and she was able to let me in when I needed to see the venue for certain planning aspects. She helped me put together a seating arrangement and was great about the logistics/what was doable. When my wedding was affected by COVID, she worked with me and supported me with what the best plan was for our situation. Can’t say enough great things about her or her venue! Would highly recommend.

an absolutely gorgeous place for any event. The bridal suite is magazine perfect! Natural light floods the space and it's perfect for pictures. The space for the groom and his guys to get ready offers a pool table, bar area, and a place they can bring in their gaming systems to help keep them occupied while waiting for the ladies to get ready. We had tables set up to seat 150 people, and there was ample space for mingling and a dance floor for the DJ. Michelle was a dream to work with and made certain everything was perfect for the evening!
