The Video Chef

I was referred to The Video Chef, Christian Chico, from a friend that worked with him a couple months before our wedding and I am so thankful! After reviewing his work on his Instagram and his website, I messaged him for availability and pricing. I knew he would me amazing to work with just by the way he conducted himself via his messages & prompt replies! Once booked, he sent over the contract quickly as well as a very detailed questionnaire to help him with the flow of the day. (I needed to get details from our wedding venue that I didn’t know yet. He was super flexible & let me add on details at a later time. Great for brides who have things constantly being added or changed…or did not even ask the questions beforehand!) On the wedding day, he showed up to the venues prompt and ready to go, but his demeanor didn’t make you feel uncomfortable at all. I enjoyed that there was no fancy, big equipment that made you feel like you were under a microscope. I’m a people pleaser & over-thinker, but he definitely made me, my husband, and our wedding party feel comfortable just doing our thing and allowing us to be present in the special moments. He worked so well with our photographer, almost allowing him to take lead while still getting the shots that he and his second shooter needed. He was personable with me and my husband, and we talked as friends on the day of whenever I got a chance and I felt comfortable using my friend voice vs. my business/work voice. *don’t even tell me you don’t have separate ones! But the part that EVERY bride wants to actually know…how good was the video? Answer: Amazing! I don’t know what I was expecting within our highlight video, but I was more blown away than I thought I would be. In particular I was blown away with the moments he caught, some moments that I did not get to see as the bride seated at the head of the table and on the altar. His editing allowed us to see glimpses of the best moments, and even amidst the chaos that I felt with so many people around, he captured the love in people faces, the fun that our family and friends had, the surprise reactions during special performances, along with the actual moment itself. How on earth does a Highlight video make me joyful, emotional, excited, & have me laughing and tearing up within 6 minutes?! LSDR (Long story, Didn’t read): Overall, He is prompt, professional, & personable. He doesn’t boast heavy videography gear and really allows you to be in the moment while capturing your big day. His video editing shows skill and heart, combining specific verbal dialogue on the day of with special moments seen and unseen from the couple’s point of view. He has a variety of events captured on his portfolio and I highly recommend him for your special day!

Christian is punctual, professional, thoughtful, friendly, and his attention to detail is superb! We were blown away with his work, perspectives, edits, and just everything! We are so thankful we chose him to capture our special day. Watching the videos brings back all the feelings of that day and we are forever grateful! Thank you Chico!!!

Very professional, excellent communication and best video we could have asked for!

Coming from Texas to Las Vegas for our wedding was very nerve-racking to begin with, however, I honestly have to say having Christian film our special day was an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment he communicated with us before we arrived to Las Vegas, I knew he was going to do an amazing job. The day of the wedding couldn't not have turned out any better...he arrived on time and walked us through every step throughout the entire day. We booked him for about ten hours and the outcome of the videos was absolutely phenomenal. I was able to relive my wedding day once again since everything seemed to happen so fast that day, (getting ready, communication with wedding planner, family and friends, etc.) We have these amazing memories for the rest of our lives and I would strongly recommend Christian to anyone that is looking for a videographer for their special day! I would give more than five stars if that was an option!

We found Christian through an Instagram Ad working on local content as we were searching for a unique videographer to hire. We have been so impressed by the work he produced in capturing one of our most special days. Aside from providing a timeline of our events, we didn’t give any other direction yet he still came through with being everywhere and that meant so much considering he was working solo. He stayed through for nearly. 9 hours, taking in the First Look, Ceremony, Reception and After Party. Our wedding was not meant to be traditional in any way so we appreciated his easy-going approach and it made my husband and I comfortable enough to be in front of the camera. Our final video came about a month after the wedding which was the amount of time he had quoted for production. The emotion of that night and the music tied in was well evoked through the scenes he clipped and sewn together. It came out beautifully and we couldn’t have asked for a better videographer to help share our special day. Thank you Christian for taking us on and all you’ve done!

Chico was great to work with and the video turned out beautifully! He was professional, reliable and has a true filmmaker’s creative touch. He worked very well with our photographer, allowing her to get the shots that we wanted while still making sure that he had everything from another angle. I promise you, he will do an amazing job and create more than just your run of the mill wedding video.

Can I just start by saying WOW. After watching my wedding video, I was speechless. The way he captured the little details about our special day is something I can’t even explain.
