We were so happy with The View at Briarcliff. After attending another event here, we thought it would be a great place to have our wedding. It is appropriately called The View, as the view of downtown KC is what truly sets the venue apart from any other hotel ballroom. Minimal decor inside is needed due to the wall of ceiling-to-floor windows. Andrea was a pleasure to work with, she patiently answered all of my nervous bride questions and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs (a visit with my out-of-town mother a few weeks before, rehearsal the afternoon before our wedding). We chose a catered taco buffet from their caterer, KC Hopps, and it was delicious. I was very pleased with our experience!

Our wedding turned out great, the location was convenient for our guests and the space was great for what we wanted to do (outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour, and large reception). We were very happy with the end result. That said, we did have several difficulties along the way. Our wedding is by far the biggest and most important event my wife and I have ever planned. Unfortunately, the staff at The View did not make us feel that our event was important to them. Several times during the planning they were hard to get a response from and required repeat communication because they had not saved notes on our preferences for the event. Additionally, most of our communication was met with a sense of general annoyance and occasional rude attitude. Bottom line is we are satisfied with the end result, but are glad we do not have to work with them again.

We had a wonderful time at The View for my daughters wedding. Service was great and The View is stunning! We used The View caterers for a platted dinner and it went seamlessly. The DJ they recommended was awesome as well, Kevin had the group laughing and dancing the night away.

It was a great place to have a wedding. The fall leaves looked absolutely gorgeous. Karen was a dream to work with and made our day great! Austin our day of coordinator was always around when we needed him and made everything go smoothly. My bridesmaid just got engaged and wants to have her wedding here too.

What a wonderful place to have a wedding reception! We chose the all-inclusive package: Venue, Photography, DJ, Catering and Bakery. Kevin, the Complete DJ, was so much fun and totally engaged the audience. Heidi, from HOPPS catering, provided a delicious BBQ meal. We received so many compliments on the food. Angela, the Complete Photographer kept very busy. Can't wait to see her photos. The cake came from Sugar and Spice. While it was delicious, it did not look like the cake my son and his new wife had requested. Last, but not least, Austin Hunzeker from THE VIEW was amazing. He coordinated the entire event and made it a Magical evening that we will never forget!

Absolutely Perfect! KC Hopps took over the space 4 months before our wedding, which made me a little nervous, but Karen, Austin and Heidi made my wedding a dream! The allowed us to come in the day before and set-up which really relieved stress for my family and I the day of my wedding. The bridal suite was perfect for us to get ready in. My bridesmaids and I had access to the bridal suite at 10 am the day of my wedding, which was nice since the church we were getting married in didn't really have an area to get ready. Karen was there early to get our vendors checked in and help them load in. We had a cocktail hour from 5-6 in their lobby area, and then had dinner at 6:30. The food was delicious! Even better than our tasting! We had 3 bars in the room and one in the lobby area. The bartenders were very professional and kept up with our crowd. (We can be pretty heavy drinkers!) The View was absolutely stunning! The pictures don't do it justice! Our guests were in awe of it, especially at sunset and once it got dark and the whole city lit up. They have a lovely courtyard area that wraps around the space. It overlooks all of downtown and everything to the west of the venue. The lounge areas outside were great! Overall this was an awesome experience and I'd recommend The View at Briarcliff to anyone who is getting married! -Ashley and James
