Cassandra was our day of coordinator and she did an incredible job! Our day went on without a single hitch. Our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and that the food (catered by MEC's Elite Catering) was the best food they ever had at a wedding! Also many comments about how kind the bar staff was as well. We lucked out with beautiful October weather and were able to have our ceremony outside. The outside courtyard remained open throughout the night, with many guests loving the outdoor atmosphere! The area its located in also makes for the best photos! So many spots nearby to take gorgeous pictures, so no need to travel anywhere before or after the ceremony. Highly recommend if you're looking for an all-in-one gorgeous venue that has a team that will make the planning process feel like a breeze . Our florals and signage added our personal flair, but the venue on its own is SO beautiful! The all-inclusive packages they offer makes it easy so you can go about the day without a single worry, and you can customize a lot of stuff to make your vision come to life!

ws about how customers encountered changes in the staff they worked with throughout the meetings but truly, the end goal of the staff is always the same. It really did not matter who we met with, they had a general idea of what our vision was. I will say that at times we felt pressured to add unwanted items (e.g. appetizers & salads) as we were happy with our meal selections and late-night food. It took us to have to dig our heels in to make the selections we truly wanted for our food. Behind the scenes, the staff work hard for you. They work with the vendors you select for the rest of the wedding and they coordinate with each other well. We were fortunate enough to have a day-of-coordinator provided by MEC and she was absolutely incredible (shout-out to Michele!). When it came to the day of the wedding, she made it feel stress-free. We had some decorations but the venue is naturally beautiful and there was not much that needed to be added to its beauty. The food was not only perfect, it was coordinated so efficiently and prompt. The staff really get it out quick and without error. We did have a small hiccup with the bartending staff on one of our tabs but Michele quickly checked in with us and fixed it. Now - I believe in a fair review because nothing is perfect, although they did a phenomenal job top-down. My reasoning behind 4 out of 5 stars is because we checked in with the bar staff throughout the night regarding our kegs. Towards the end of the evening, we had the choice to “tap” a third keg or let the 2nd run out and switch to a cash bar. We had pre-purchased three kegs but decided that it would be impossible to go through the 3rd keg so we opted for the latter option. It turned out, we never finished off the 2nd keg anyway. It was to our belief that we would be reimbursed for the 3rd keg as it was never used or “tapped” as the bar staff phrased it. After about a month of back and forth emails with the billing department, we were at a loss in the battle. It is MEC’s policy that any of the kegs that are pre-purchased to be “tapped” specifically for your event and that any used or unused keg will be disposed of without a refund available. Although this information was not explicitly stated in the contract, MEC’s stance on it was and is quite firm. It’s important information to know about going into your big day because you don’t want to pay for something you do not use at all. We mentioned that they should include this information in their contracts going forward but whether the feedback is implemented or not, this was our experience. It doesn’t take away from our day because it was perfect. You get what you pay for and the venue is not cheap but it is worth it. They have, hands down, the best wedding food I have ever had. We got soooo many compliments on our food, the venue, and the day-of-coordinator. You cannot go wrong with selecting MEC, be mindful of what you are getting and their policies (as you should for any contract you ever enter) but if you are looking for a place that will give you their all, I really don’t think you can go wrong here.
