unds was something we'll never forget. Camryn was incredible throughout the process, making sure we were prepared and hadn't forgotten anything leading up to our wedding. Our weather wasn't perfect, and she helped guide us, our guests, and our vendors through a perfect day nonetheless, ensuring that a little rain didn't dampen anyone's experience. We can't recommend this venue highly enough to other couples, and we can't wait to return to the Viewpoint for another stay soon.

Our 128-person wedding felt perfectly intimate yet spacious, with room for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing under the beautiful Sperry tent. The bar package was great, and with views this gorgeous, you barely need decorations. Thank you, Viewpoint, for an unforgettable experience!

ly and Haven, our event coordinators, were like rockstars – they kept everything running smoothly and made sure we had a blast. They provided constant communication throughout the entire 1.5 years we planned our wedding with them. To kick off our wedding day - the getting ready suite was amazing! One of my friends is a travel bridal makeup artist and even mentioned it was the nicest getting ready suite she’d ever seen. It was spacious and clean, providing plenty of room for our hair and makeup vendors. The lighting was perfect for photos, and the venue provides champagne to get the party started. The wedding ceremony space & reception tent were even more incredible than we could have imagined. The ceremony took place on the lawn, overlooking the Nubble Lighthouse. The sail point reception tent was all decorated with bistro lighting and overlooked the ocean as we ate dinner and danced the night away. Our guests kept constantly saying this was the best wedding venue they’ve ever seen and everyone had an amazing time. Every single member of the hotel staff that we interacted with throughout our wedding weekend was top-notch. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make our stay special. Patrick especially stood out to us as he made sure the grounds were in perfect condition on our wedding weekend. We stayed at the hotel from Thursday-Sunday along with our family and friends. Everyone’s rooms were amazing – especially the new oceanside cabanas! All of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the rooms were & are all planning to return for a vacation next year. Overall we couldn't have asked for a better wedding weekend. The ViewPoint Hotel made our wedding dreams come true!

om the moment they step onto the property until the minute they leave. Around 30% of our guests were not from New England, so we wanted them to have a true Maine experience, and what better way than having them spend the weekend on the beautiful rocky coastline while looking at the Nubble Lighthouse! Many of our guests are still saying it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and we know the property, staff, and view were a huge factor in creating that whole experience. First of all, the property is absolutely breathtaking. We booked with the ViewPoint before they started their renovations in late 2022, but we saw renderings so we had an idea of what to expect. We were a bit nervous knowing that we wouldn’t see the final product until a few short months before our wedding day. Let me tell you, they exceeded our expectations! The addition of the new rooms, the new wedding ceremony space, and the incredible landscaping add a level of elegance that didn’t exist before. The existing hotel rooms are wonderful, and many upgrades were made over the last few months (flooring, furniture, etc.). But the real star of the show is the 7 new hillside rooms/cabanas. You have to see them for yourself…jaw-droppingly beautiful with very high-end finishes and technology. Your guests staying on property will be delighted with the rooms. Now, onto the staff…the people you will work with at Viewpoint are the highest-caliber professionals who will do everything to make sure your wedding day is exactly how you picture it. We decided to use the ViewPoint’s Day-Of-Coordinator service and worked closely with Haven throughout the planning process. I honestly can’t say enough good things about her. Haven is super friendly, helpful, funny, accommodating, and reliable…it was easy to trust her in helping us plan our perfect day. She was available to answer questions via email or hop on the phone whenever needed. On the day of the wedding, everything ran so smoothly thanks to Haven (and Aly and the rest of the team!). Haven is a true pro and coordinated the day’s schedule and every vendor so that we didn’t have to worry about a thing and could focus on being present with our family and friends. The staff set everything up for the ceremony and reception and broke it all down at the end of the night. One thing to note is the property does not have an indoor space in case of rain, but there are several rain-plan options (additional ceremony tent, umbrellas, etc.) so just make sure you’re OK with that scenario. We were fine with the rain-plan, but fortunately had beautiful weather. In summary, if you’re looking for a beautiful Maine wedding along the coast that you and your guests will remember forever, don’t hesitate to book the Viewpoint Hotel!

le 25 person wedding. They do big regular weddings as well, of course. The views are obviously stunning - we got to have both our first look and our ceremony overlooking the ocean and Nubble. The event staff is also incredible - Camryn was our day-of coordinator and she was organized, reliable, and communicative. She managed the day flawlessly! Haven also helped us get everything booked in advance and she was fantastic too. Highly recommend ViewPoint for your wedding, big or small! :)

You could not ask for a more beautiful wedding venue with a large grassy lawn for guests to explore and the picture perfect lighthouse and ocean view. If you are looking for a special, quintessential wedding look no further, ViewPoint will overdeliver on your expectations.

ith the nubble lighthouse backdrop makes for a quintessential New England wedding. The staff all worked together like a well-oiled machine. Haven and Aly were so helpful both in the weeks leading up to and during the event. Every detail was well thought out from timing, to logistics, to setting up and breaking down decor for us. Our wedding felt intimate and exclusive since the entire grounds were fully reserved for the wedding party for the full weekend to celebrate. Do be aware this venue is completely a la carte, so it does involve a great deal of planning and coordination. This means choosing everything from a caterer to tables, chairs, even napkins/plates to rent. I recommend at minimum utilizing viewpoint’s event coordinator service if not a full wedding planner. Especially since Haven and her assistant Aly were MORE than worth it. I’m not sure we could’ve pulled everything off without them, at least not without a major deal of stress. One other thing to be mindful of is the fact that York Beach is a pretty small town. If you have a lot of folks coming from out of town, the room blocks situation at neighboring hotels can be tricky. Since it was a holiday weekend, we could not find any hotel within cape neddick that would accommodate room blocks. The business owners around the area are very comfortable as is and do not feel obligated to accommodate. This meant urging guests to book their rooms as far in advance as possible was a must, otherwise they risked the hotels that we reserved trolley transport from being sold out. That said, it was 100% well worth it to be married at such an incredible venue. We had multiple guests tell us it was the best wedding they’d ever attended. It was worth every penny and I can’t wait to celebrate anniversaries and vacations here in the years to come!

se words are definitely what a bride and groom want to hear! The wedding coordinators, Aly Churchill and Haven’t Hatch, are a delight to work with. They want your wedding day to be absolutely perfect and live up to your expectations. With that being said, everyone worked like a well oiled machine and there was no room for error, as many of the vendors we chose have worked together on numerous occasions. Although this venue is more in the expensive end, it was highly worth it and I wish I could go back there to do it all over again.

ered all our questions. The Location is perfect and the view out of this world. The lawn, tent and all aspects were exactly as we envisioned. I would say the one concern we had was the lack of good indoor space in the event of bad weather- and we did of course have bad weather! The forecast was for thunderstorms, hail and strong winds the day of our wedding. Haven kept us calm and worked diligently to have back-up plans. Thankfully, the weather held out for our ceremony and didn't start until cocktail hour. Haven again was amazing and adjusted things as needed due to the weather and my husband and I didn't have to stress about anything! The weather ended up clearing that evening and we had a beautiful rainbow over the lighthouse. A truly magical spot if you are looking for a quintessential Maine location and the staff goes above and beyond to make it so special.

us views of Nubble Lighthouse and the ocean from every single room. It is truly the most picture perfect backdrop for an event . The suites were perfect for our guests, and every one loved being right on site all weekend. From the moment we booked, Haven and Aly were literal wedding planning angels. They were answering all my questions day or night, keeping me constantly updated and on track through our planning process. The weekend of the wedding, they made sure all of we and all our guests were comfortable and happy. The day of the wedding, Haven tended to every single thing I needed and made sure our ceremony and reception went off perfectly. I didn’t have to worry for one second about anything because she had it covered. The ground was a little wet during our ceremony and the bottom of my dress got dirty. Haven was right there with seltzer water and a cloth to clean it right up like nothing ever happened. We didn’t want to leave, so we stayed the night after the wedding just the two of us so we could enjoy it even longer! Our family and friends keep telling us how they want to go back to the ViewPoint and spend a weekend because they loved it so much. Book this venue, you will not regret it! :)

(the Events Coordinator), Val (the Hotel Director), and the rest of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and ensured that our day proceeded without a hitch. While the weather ended up being perfect on our wedding day, the staff had an EZ-Up tent, in the case of rain, ready to be deployed at a moment’s notice, which was much appreciated. In addition to our ceremony, our entire wedding party stayed two nights at the Viewpoint. Everyone commented about how much they enjoyed their rooms, the grounds, and the spectacular views. Our wish to have an outdoor wedding in coastal Maine was certainly met, and we are very happy to have selected this venue as it helped capture everything we imagined our day would be! The memories of such an amazing day will surely last a lifetime, and we are excited to visit again in the future.

ot and the second we toured the property, we were committed! Val and the staff were instrumental in helping us find vendors to suit our taste, coordinating details on our behalf and keeping us informed all along the way. They were consistently available for us to ask questions and went out of their way to provide us with all the information we needed to plan our dream experience. We were among many who had to postpone our ceremony & reception due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Val, Joe & Haven were supremely understanding and demonstrated the utmost compassion as we made difficult decisions regarding rescheduling…twice. They all made the process of changing our date seamless and put all of our stress at ease. When THE day finally arrived, the Viewpoint team ensured our day went off without a hitch. No detail was overlooked (Val even picked me up an iced coffee!), no question unanswered and no worry needed. The impeccable service did not end after our wedding weekend. We planned an extended stay after our nuptials during which we wanted for nothing. The Viewpoint team continued to go beyond all our expectations to make our stay comfortable, exciting and fun. Pick the Viewpoint and do not look back! We know firsthand; dream weddings are made at the Viewpoint Hotel!

ir in-house day-of coordinator (also their event coordinator who you’ll work with throughout the process—shout-out to AJ) and we didn’t have to worry about a thing the day of our wedding. From the wine they give to everyone checking in, to the top notch response to any extra requests or special accommodations, they were great. My only thing I would have liked better is that after all the money they receive because of the wedding, I wish they would have discounted the couple’s suite rather than make us pay full price. But they did offer top notch amenities, so at the end of the day it wasn’t enough to knock them down to 4 stars. 5/5 for the ViewPoint.

taking. We happened to come across the venue randomly and it was fate. Val and AJ, their coordinators, were amazing to work with. The other vendors that are approved to work with them know this place in and out and it shows. The team all together made everything go literally flawlessly. It was the most perfect weekend, we had incredible weather on Labor Day so it was hard for anything to go wrong really but it was just the best. We were there for the entire weekend which was so nice to get time with friends and family. The only hard part for us was filling the suites because we were half local and we had to rent out for 3 nights but we made it work and it was worth it! Highly, Highly recommend this secret gem! Can't wait to see the grounds updates they make!!! We plan on getting back annually here.

property last January, we knew this would be the dream wedding of a lifetime! AJ gave us our first tour of The View Point that day, and from the fabulous room décor, to the breath taking view and stunning Nubble Light House, we were 100 % IN!! I cannot say enough about AJ and Valerie...they are professional, organized and seasoned Wedding Venue Planners that will make your day exactly the way you want it to be. The weather was iffy on October 12th, so a few days before the wedding Valerie sat with us to work on a Plan B to have ceremony inside the tent. She told us there were at least 10 people closely watching the weather for us, and gave us the flexibility to do exactly what we wanted. Fortunately, just in time for the ceremony, the skies opened up for a beautiful and perfect wedding day. AJ took it from there...Keeping all 9 Groomsmen, 8 Bridesmaids and 8 ring bearers and flower girls focused and in their places for the ceremony. Again, these guys are Pros and truly want your wedding to go exactly how you pictured it to be. Our hearts are full with the memories of the most amazing day ever! Thank you Joe, Michele (owners), AJ and Valerie for making it all happen.

he staff could not have been more accommodating. My husband and I worked with Val and became friends with her throughout the process. She was our coordinator on day of and she was worth every penny. I did not have to worry about 1 thing on the big day besides getting ready and getting outside. Val set up all of my decorations exactly how I wanted them. The decor she set up without instruction was set up better than I could have asked. She decorated our archway on her own will and it was my favorite part of the decor. The owner, Joe, was so welcoming and was onsite to make sure everything was all set. He even checked the temperature of the heated pool to ensure if we did want to use it that it was hot enough to do so. Parking was well handled and none of my guests had any confusion on their way in to the venue. Their preferred vendors are amazing - the Tent company was so accommodating and flexible with our budget. Foster's Clambake did an incredible job with working with our budget and the food was not only delicious but the customer service was above and beyond. We loved them so much that we had our rehearsal dinner AT Foster's the night before. The weekend was a dream and I could go on and on about this place but if you get married here - you will not regret it. The hotel rooms are gorgeous and I will be staying here annually to relive my favorite day.

int was unparalleled. From the moment we booked with Val, I knew we were in the best hands. She was so positive and excited about our day (probably as much as we were) and to have that kind of enthusiasm for your clients really does speak volumes about the Viewpoint. I implore you to book her as your "day of coordinator" but honestly, she was so much more. Every meeting, every email, every call, was answered with genuine interest for our satisfaction and happiness on our day. The entire weekend that we spent at the Viewpoint for our wedding surrounded by our family and friends could not have been more perfect and we really owe it to the recommendations we received by them and the incredible work that Val and the team put into every detail. Thank you over and over and over again for caring as much about our wedding as we did- we are positive it would not have been as perfect any where else.

hidden gem. The owners, Joe and Michelle, exceptional taste is on display in the hotel and throughout the grounds.  They have the beach-chic vibe totally nailed down. They and their staff were very helpful, accommodating and professional. Our daughter’s wedding was a beautiful fall day with delicious food, exquisitely decorated tent and great music in the most picturesque setting overlooking the Nubble Lighthouse.  Every vendor we dealt with was top-notch. They coordinated with each other in every aspect of planning to insure a perfect day. From the first call to Sperry Tents, The White Apron and The York Flower Shop we knew we were in good hands. There is no need to look beyond The ViewPoint Hotel and their preferred list of vendors.

This time they did respond with a lovely email telling me how they "love" the smaller weddings and that they were the perfect destination. What they had omitted to do, was to remove an internal email exchange that was spoke extremely derogatorily about not only my wedding ideas, the size of my wedding, and insinuated that I was desperate. If this is how they view potential guests, i.e. those people that fund their business, I would not wish to spend a minute there.

s even used a photo they took at our wedding, in front of the lighthouse, as their save the date picture! Valerie and Ryan were so helpful and gave our guests great service. The remodel last year was fantastic -- modern but still has a New England feel. The salt water pool was a great addition. The fire pit was the cherry on top -- so fun! If you're lucky enough to get availability at Viewpoint, don't think twice!

We had all 9 suites reserved for a couple nights, and they were able to juggle the different needs of our families. The renovations completed by Joe's crew turned this hotel from good to spectacular. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated- perfect for "getting ready" photographs. As for the wedding and preparations up to the big day: Valerie and Joe made my wedding easy and stress free. They were working non-stop days before the wedding and days after. I HIGHLY recommend using Val as the "day of coordinator". They went above and beyond for me, whether it be getting the wedding party lunch from Stones Throw (YUM!) to making sure all our vendors knew where and what to do. I cannot thank the ViewPoint team enough. If you want a picture perfect location, impeccably kept accommodations/grounds and a hardworking, committed team, ViewPoint is the way to go.

and signed the contract for our ceremony, the hotel was under the previous ownership. The views of the Nubble are amazing, however; since being bought out it is losing the New England charm. The rooms are renovated and stunning with a more modern feel. Now for the bad part. The hotel (once being bought out) wanted to upcharge us for valet parking and for a wedding coordinator. The previous owners included coordination in the original contract and pricing, but the new owners wanted us to pay more for it. When my fiancé arrived at the hotel with the wedding party the night before our wedding, there were bugs and cobwebs in the bathroom and no towels. The AC did not work and everyone had to sleep in the heat. They had to get ready the day of the wedding with electricians in and out of the room, with the AC off and outlets not working. The office does not open until 9 and they are extremely short staffed, so it made it hard for the hotel to correct these issues fast. To make the matter worse, they wanted to charge us for blankets when using the pullout couch. The new owner has the "we will squeeze money out of you and provide you no service" attitude. The rooms are not cheap and we expected more service. We had family staying at the hotel for a longer stay and they had a similar experience and now wish they stayed at an Air BnB. The new owner and manager (Joe) was EXTREMELY rude and dismissive when all of these issues were brought to his attention. He reluctantly refunded us for one night. Being from the York area, it is common knowledge around town that Joe owns Inn on the Blues, which has mediocre reviews and takes advantage of the location and tourists not knowing any better. From a wedding perspective and also being from the area, there are SO many other places to choose from in York that have much better service and do not nickel and dime you for every little thing. We checked out other venues with similar stunning views (Dockside, York Harbor Inn, Union Bluff) and decided on the ViewPoint due to the previous ownership and our positive impression of them. Now it is going downhill and fast. 1 star for Ryan, who was awesome during our ceremony and set up, and provided good service to my family when he could. 1 star for refunding a night.
