We had such a wonderful experience with The Villa for our daughter Tessa and her husband Aaryn’s wedding! From the very beginning of the planning process all the way through the wedding day, Maria, the coordinator, was absolutely amazing. She was so helpful, patient, and accommodating, and she truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. The entire staff was wonderful as well. They worked so hard behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly. Maria constantly checked in on us throughout the day to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed. Katie was amazing as well. She was very kind and checked in throughout the day as well. As the parents of the bride, it meant so much to us to be able to enjoy the day and not have to worry about all the little details. Maria was so kind and welcoming that even Tessa’s sister, Jasmine, said she was going to miss Maria because she was so nice! That really says a lot about the kind of person she is. We are so thankful to Maria and the entire staff at The Villa for helping make Tessa and Aaryn’s wedding day so beautiful and memorable. We truly appreciate everything you all did for our family and would absolutely recommend The Villa to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with an amazing team!

With over eleven acres of rolling hillsides covered with beautiful Oak and Leyland Cypress trees, The Villa provides multiple options for outdoor and/or indoor weddings and events. Located in Pearl River County, this premier venue was reconstructed and re-purposed as an elegant French Country event venue. Owner, Louis Ochoa, purchased the venue in March of 2021. At The Villa, we are committed to exceed your expectations. Our professional and courteous team will ensure that your event is a unique and memorable experience. The Villa offers the option of full-service catering, with only the freshest ingredients. Food presentation is personalized to your event requests. We are honored and delighted to work with you to ensure your dream wedding is a reality.

Louis Ochoa is a dedicated entrepreneur and community leader who has been a cornerstone of Slidell, Louisiana, since 1990. As the owner of LOI Hospitality Group, he operates local favorites NOLA Southern Grill, Pinewood Country Club, and The Sadie Jane wedding venue. He has also expanded his reach with the newest addition to his portfolio, The Villa in Carriere, MS. Alongside Louis Ochoa Investments LLC, these ventures serve as a driving force behind the region's economic vitality. Louis’s commitment to growth is reflected in his extensive leadership roles. He currently serves as a Commissioner for the St. Tammany Parish Economic Development Corporation (STEDC) and is an active board member and Events Committee Chair for the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce. A graduate and past President of Leadership Northshore, he is also deeply invested in mentoring the next generation of local leaders. Above all, Louis is a family man. Alongside his wife, Renee, and their two children, Jason and Sadie, he remains dedicated to building a prosperous and vibrant future for the entire community.

The new staff is very friendly, easy to work with and will answer any questions. A few things from my experience: The bathrooms are small for the amount of people the venue can hold. The AC in June could not keep up with in and out of the building and 270 people (be aware of the heat in June and the amount of people in the building when planning your big day). The venue comes with chairs, tables and linens which was great for the price. I did not have there staff clean up & I wish they had that option (maybe they do but I did not think about that before hand. Luckily I had great friends and family help) You cannot have a cash bar because of the dry county. We hired bar tenders and bought alcohol. This was the best bet! The getting ready rooms were AMAZING! Absolutely loved our day regardless of the little things.

Villa is full of gorgeous ceremony spots and places for great photos. The green hills on the property were a great background scene. I especially LOVED the Bridal / Grooms suites, both were absolutely stunning!! Also, a huge thanks to Olivia for answering my millions of questions & to Terri for all of her assistance! She helped tremendously on very last minute accommodations/ changes. Couldn’t be more thankful! NOTE: The one thing I will add for brides considering this Venue is the location. Keep in mind that Carriere is a very small town. We stayed in NOLA the weekend of the wedding & many of our guests stayed between Slidell & Picayune. We had no issues with the location since we were prepared for it.
