We had our wedding under the Washington package with the dessert display and late night snacks. Talk about luxury. The ballroom, the staircase, the staff, the rooms, everything was exactly how we imagined our wedding. The food was incredible, our only regret was not eating more of it. Planning was very smooth, the staff was helpful, and the event planners at the Virginian were very thorough to ensure the event went off without a hitch. They were very flexible with what we wanted with our wedding, for example: we love tiramisu, so we were able to substitute one of our dessert display desserts with some of the BEST tiramisu cupcakes we have ever had (we really wish we had the recipe because we only ate two over the course of the night and would love to have more!). The planning process was very low stress with them, which was great since we lived 4 hours from the actual venue, and in the end everything went very smoothly on the wedding day. Our guests were very impressed with the food, especially the cocktail hour foods, and the staff all worked to make the event special. The bartenders were great and there was never too long of a wait at the bar during the wedding. Hotel staff throughout the weekend were very accommodating, the valets were lovely to work with, and all our guests that stayed on site loved all of the luxuries of the hotel. She truly cared about helping me plan my dream wedding and not only made the planning process a breeze, but also a wonderful experience to look back on. She always had a quick response time, was more than willing to answer any questions I had, and was happy to help with anything I needed to design our room layout/plan our wedding. We had a wedding of 124 for the plated Washington package and the service was top tier. The banquet team who set up and flipped our rooms was excellent. The appetizers and dinner meals were delicious. The hotel staff was so kind. The ballroom is stunning!! The hotel rooms were very clean and spacious. The bridal suite was the perfect size for me and my bridesmaids to get ready and came with a large/wide full length mirror for getting ready. We are so pleased with our experience at The Virginian. I am SO happy to have hosted our wedding here. The entire staff was so friendly and truly happy to help guests with anything they needed. If you are looking for a wedding venue, look no further! I cannot recommend The Virginian enough!!

I loved the bridal suite. Spacious and elegantly designed, it provided the perfect place to get ready. The thoughtful touch of placing a large mirror in the suite was greatly appreciated, as it made the getting-ready process seamless.
Our guests were equally thrilled with their stay at the Virginian Hotel. Many commented on the exceptional quality of their rooms, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The hotel's dedication to providing a top-notch experience for our guests did not go unnoticed. Our families loved the convenience of having all of our wedding festivities in one place.
In addition to the outstanding accommodations, we also had the pleasure of hosting our rehearsal dinner at the Virginian Hotel as well as our reception. The food was simply phenomenal. From the appetizers to the main course and crème brûlée, every dish was meticulously prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. What an amazing venue. I have tons of friends who got married in Lynchburg (because there are probably hundreds of venues), but I had the best experience by far with The Virginian....
The banquet staff, Angelie (the event coordinator), and even the front desk personnel were some of the kindest, most accommodating people I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. They made this day as special as I could have planned it to be and exceeded every expectation I had. About 80% of our guests were coming from out of town and a handful of them stayed at The Virginian (the ones who didn't wished they had by the end of the reception); all of them were astounded by the fantastic service. The venue was stunning and well-maintained. My bridesmaids and I stayed in a suite the night before and got ready there the next morning. It had been flipped into a honeymoon suite by the time my husband and I made it back that night and it was beautiful! Also, the food is delicious! It was the biggest compliment we received during the reception. Thank you to Angelie and the entire staff for making one of the biggest days of my life one of the BEST days of my life! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a classy, timeless aesthetic and a seamless experience.

guests with The Virginian staff, I knew that I wouldn’t have to worry about the details of our wedding day coming together. Every member of the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming to us and all of our guests. In selecting our wedding venue, we wanted our guests to have an amazing experience and have top-notch, professional service while they were our guests which The Virginian absolutely delivered on. I did not have to worry about any details during our reception and The Virginian packed up boxes of cocktail hour and reception food for my husband and I to fully enjoy in the days after our wedding. While I am from Lynchburg, most of our guests were traveling in from out of town for our wedding. It was also important for us to have a place where all of our guests could stay as well as enjoy the reception. The Virginian made quite an impression on our guests - offering a beautiful venue and great hospitality. We heard so many compliments from our guests about how elegant the hotel was and how much they loved touring around downtown Lynchburg. The Virginian Hotel will always hold a special place in our hearts and we look forward to visiting in the years to come.

Eleanor Roosevelt Room for our reception as well as a perfect view of Lynchburg for sunset photos from the the rooftop bar. Angelie and everyone else at the Virginian was so helpful, accommodating and communicative throughout the entire planning process and on the day of. I cannot thank them all enough! I highly recommend this venue if you are looking to have your wedding in Lynchburg. I cannot begin to explain how magical my wedding day was at The Virginian. We had our ceremony and reception in the Grand Ballroom as well as a cocktail hour in the Rose Room. From...
beginning to end, the wedding day was fabulous. The family, the bridal party, the groom, and I were all treated like royalty through the duration of our stay. Our guests raved about the delicious food, the wonderful amenities, the ambience, and the helpful staff. Even after the wedding, they had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for the groom and me in the honeymoon suite. What is truly great about The Virginian is that it is an established venue with an all-in-one feel. You don't have to worry about the catering or the tables and chairs or where your guests will grab drinks after the wedding (rooftop bar!). It brought such peace of mind knowing all of the wedding day festivities were taking place under one roof with qualified staff just seconds away. The venue itself was beautiful and classic and timeless - just as the pictures here indicate. My husband and I talk about how thankful we are that we picked The Virginian to be our wedding venue and that it's the type of venue we can revisit yearly. We even have plans to book a hotel room on our first anniversary just to relive some of that magic again.

ide of DC since we couldn't find what we wanted. We wanted a MODERN ballroom, with a grand staircase, high ceiling (preferably glass)and chandeliers at a reasonable cost.... and then we found the VIRGINIAN. It checked off every. single.thing we wanted!!!
Planning our wedding with the Virginian was absolutely a dream come true. Angelie Keller, the Virginian's Event Coordinator was a blessing. So responsive to all of my emails (and I sent a lot haha), and was always willing to work with my busy schedule. She truly made our dream wedding come true!!
All of my guests keep talking about how amazing the staff was. To Johnathan and Connor, the valet, Michael at the front desk and Rick the bartender, everyone treated us with soooo much respect and happiness for our big day.
If I had to do it again I would choose the Virginian every singe time. The price is very reasonable especially when compared to DC venues, the people are amazing and I absolutely love that it's such a small town where everyone in the wedding business knows each other.
If you are considering the Virginian for your wedding make an appt to tour today!!! The moment I first entered the Virginian I KNEW this is the place I wanted to get married. It was the perfect venue for our modern day fairytale!!!

The packages were well priced and included a variety of options. We had a sit down meal for 130 and everyone I spoke with raved about the food, wine, and beverages from the bar. It was wonderful.
