oordinator there. Her name was Savanna and she was fabulous. Unfortunately Savanna left and we were left with Bailey and Macey. Bailey never seemed to know what was happening with our wedding and that was frustrating. Macey always seemed bothered by our emails and was very rude. Even a few of our vendors mentioned how rude Macey was on the day of our wedding. Macey also took FOREVER to respond to questions. Jeff and Jenelle were our FAVORITE. Jeff did everything to make sure our day was perfect on the bar end. Jenelle was great but unfortunately Bailey wouldn't let us meet her until the night of our wedding which was stressful. So overall the Vista is a fabulous space and has gorgeous views, but only about half of their staff seems to genuinely care about making sure your wedding is perfect. Jeff and Jenelle want to make the bride & groom happy, while Bailey and Macey are just doing it because it's their job.

Jeff, the food and beverage manager, spent the entire evening sprinting around the reception hall ensuring that everything went off without a hitch, while also constantly checking on my husband and I to see what we needed. The food was outstanding and Chef gave us one of the most delicious meals of our life (the appetizers are to die for and the steak was perfect). The entire staff was professional, friendly, and provided outstanding service not only to us and our wedding party but our guests as well. Furthermore, the venue and the view itself is absolutely amazing - it has the real "Colorado feel" we were looking for and provides spectacular views from afternoon into the evening hours. I cannot tell you how many comments our guests made about the beauty and service The Vista at Applewood provided us. I would wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend this venue for your wedding or any large event!

Best of all, the food and alcohol was very reasonably priced and we were able to provide an open bar the whole reception, much to the surprise and joy of our guests! On the day of the wedding Tara was right by my side and completely guided us through the process. Time goes by very fast, and it is wonderful to have someone guide you through all the steps of a wedding. This service was a blessing and something I had not even thought about. The venue was beautiful. They had the grass, flowers, and grounds in great shape. The ceremony site was perfect. Now, THE FOOD! The food was AMAZING! The catering manager, Geoff, was great to work with. I had many people tell us that was the best food they have ever eaten at a wedding. We had Beef Tenderloin and Chicken Piccata as our main dishes. Sides of green beans with roasted tomatoes, whipped garlic mashed potatoes, ceasar salad, and dinner rolls. Completely outstanding. The cocktail hour h'ordeuvres blew everyone away! We had an open bar and 80 guests with the top of the line menu and call alcohol. Our price was just under $8000 for all the food, drink, venue, tax and help they provided. (Not including tip, decorations for ceremony site, favors, linens, flowers, etc.) On a scale of 1-10 I would give them a 10! It is at least worth a call to Tara to get an exact price quote. And the reception hall was also gorgeous: very modern looking. It has pretty distinct colors to it, but any wedding colors will work. The pricing was very reasonable, and no site fee which was a bonus! Tara was an excellent planner up to the day and was willing to answer all of my silly questions. She even ordered a tree for us to plant for the ceremony! Geoff was the day of coordinator who was on top of everything. We dealt with A LOT of rain on wedding day, but that makes the memories more perfect. If you are as indecisive as we were about your wedding details, the people at the Vista will give you the best input and best options to make your day spectacular.

The pricing was much more reasonable than a lot of other places we looked at, and we were able to get everything we hoped for. Geoff, was incredible. He was so nice and accommodating from the first time we met him. He kept us on track for the ceremony and reception and made sure that we were getting everything we wanted. We had an unexpected emergency at the end of the night and he really stepped in and made sure everything was okay, and did not seem at all bothered that we ended up being there later than we were supposed to be. I would definitely recommend The Vista for the quality of the food and beautiful views and the awesome service that Geoff gave us.

If I had to do it all over again I would pick this venue over and over again. Tara and Geoff were an absolute pleasure to work with and was there every step of the way.

I met with Tara many times and changed many things along the way, and each time, she gave valuable input to make our event special, unique, but also within our budget. Every guest we hear from raves about the decorations, the food, the mood, and everything in between. The staff at Applewood is superb, I recommend this facility to anyone for a wedding reception! It is a beautiful setting in the foothills with great views.
