Shannon and Justin (the vondys!!) were the first vendor we hired for our wedding after finding our venue and securing our date. We hired them 19 months in advance. We had an engagement photo shoot with them in Harry Potter World (YES! they adore harry potter as much as we do <3) and after meeting them for an hour we knew they HAD to do our wedding! First, they are the most incredibly kind people. They listen to your vision, have fun, make you feel so relaxed and enjoy having your photo taken, and make you laugh the whole time! Second, the photos were the best photos I've ever seen, and I'd stalked a lot of different wedding photographers. Then in terms of our actual wedding, they were incredible with answering questions while I was panicked with questions (yes even during a pandemic while they're overflowing with emails) and helping me with decisions from other vendors, like how flowers would photograph and how important are certain aspects to include. The actual day they arrived early and couldn't have been more amazing!!! They helped us really take our time away from everyone and enjoy the moments because the day just moves SO fast! Everyone at the wedding commented on how incredibly wonderful they are. They were awesome with my parents, bridesmaids, grandparents, friends, everyone! They are the people you want at your wedding! And the people that become your friends throughout the very stressful process. Then we got our photos earlier than expected (again despite doubling their load of weddings this year) and THEY ARE INCREDIBLE!!! I adore them both as humans and photographers, and want to move to Cali just so they can keep doing my wife and I's photos for the rest of our lives. Yes, they did come all the way to NY for our wedding!!! They truly go above and beyond <3

Shannon and Justin aka the Vondys are an amazing photographer duo who just gets their couples and how to take gorgeous pictures. They are so talented and have an eye for beautiful, bright, and clean photography. They make you laugh; they support you through your wedding process; and they are just super-duper nice people. The perfect pair to spend most of your wedding day with. I was so lucky to have such a warm and kind team take care of me on my wedding day. Helping me get in my dress, carrying my shoes for me when my feet hurt wearing those ridiculous heels, and giving me a pandemic safe hug when I needed it! What can I say about Shannon and Justin... They are truly one of a kind! My husband and I had them photograph both our engagement session as well as our wedding at the Ranch. We knew from the initial meeting that they were the perfect fit. They made my husband and I feel very comfortable as well as our family members and bridal/groomsman parties. They are super professional and just the sweetest people. We would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! They go above and beyond and truly care about making your wedding day the best ever!

My husband and I are really happy we had the Vondys as our wedding photographers. They were an integral part of our wedding and worked with us over the span of almost two years through the covid-19 pandemic to make our special day happen. I found the Vondys' website and checked out their beautiful photos after our wedding venue provided us with some photographer recommendations. From day one Justin and Shannon have been very professional, courteous, and responsive to our needs. They photographed our wedding and also provided a mini-engagement photo shoot. Both days were wonderful and Justin and Shannon kept the mood light and fun and made us feel very comfortable (this is coming from people who don't love having their photos taken). The photos for both the wedding and engagement shoot turned out to be beautiful and we would definitely consider the Vondys for our future photography needs.

I'll probably repeat every sentiment below, but I'll start by saying RUN DO NOT WALK to book Justin and Shannon for your wedding!! We hit the double jackpot having the Vondys photograph mini wedding, our engagement shoot, and our 'big wedding' this year! The Vondys are so much more than wedding photographers, they are your hype people, your compliment squad, Shannon is a wedding queen from helping bustle my impossible dress and change my shoes, to keeping both of us and our wedding party looking and feeling GORGEOUS all day. When they left our wedding at the end of the night we were honestly so sad they weren't coming to the after party (but also hope y'all got some beauty sleep). In a wedding season that has been absolutely insane for vendors the Vondys always made us feel valued and brought incredible positivity and energy to everything we did with them. And oh yes our PHOTOS. We are going to print and frame every single one in our house. Our family and friends were BLOWN away but Justin and Shannon and the photos. Our best man wants to fly them out to Boston to hang out with him and his wife. In short the Vondys are the absolutely best of the best. The only thing you will regret about having them at your wedding is that you cannot continue to have annual events to spend time with them! I hope every one of my single bridesmaids books them when they get engaged!!!!!

I don't think I can say anything that hasn't already been said, but I want to anyway! Justin and Shannon came into our lives when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID and needed a new photographer. When we decided to have a mini wedding during the height of the pandemic, we were so lucky that they were willing to jump in and photograph it from 6 feet away. The pictures were incredible and they were both so nice and made everyone feel at ease. We finally got to have our big wedding last month, and Justin and Shannon were truly amazing. They make a perfect team. Shannon even helped me bustle my dress, fixed my veil and listened to my concerns. Justin was so sweet and kept asking if there was anything he could do, and helped eased my anxiety right before I walked down the aisle. I can't say enough how grateful I am, because it was a very stressful day and I felt like they truly had my back.

Nothing makes me more happy than to be able to write this review for two truly amazing people who completed our wedding! Justin and Shannon are incredible photographers and super helpful! It’s hard to find the right words to describe a team of photographers who truly do so much more. Shannon and Justin are not just your photographers. They are your friends, your confidants, your support team, a sounding board, an inspiration, and above all else, the most dynamic and helpful team you will have in your entire list of vendors. When we booked The Vondys for our wedding, we were already in talks with another photographer who we liked a lot. After deciding we should speak with more than one photographer, we booked an initial conversation with Shannon and Justin. After that, there was no question. They were our people. Working with The Vondys is like being with your best friends. They are attentive, supportive, hilarious, and all around great people. After our wedding was delayed a year because of the pandemic, they immediately scheduled a call with us to check on our feelings and offer their support through whatever we decided. On the wedding day itself, Shannon and Justin put my husband Jordan and I completely at ease. They immediately befriended everyone in our wedding party and created an atmosphere of love and joy. Hiring the Vondys was the BEST decision we made when planning our wedding! Not only do they take fantastic photographs, they are super fun, caring people. With that box checked, we contacted the Vondys to see if they were available for our date, and as luck would have it, they were! The next step was a facetime meeting. This set the tone for the experience. It would be simple for them to book on availability, ask a few questions, take a bunch of photos that you’ll love, and move on to the next shoot. But they seem to care as much about their experience with you, as yours with them. The facetime meeting not only allowed them to share some info about their business and what they could offer, but also allowed us to get to know each other. And from the get go, you see why everyone raves about them.They are so easy to communicate with; It’s like making plans with friends! We were sold instantly! Next came our engagement session. Now this is optional if you book your wedding with them, but do it, you won’t be disappointed! It was a great opportunity to get to know the Vondys in person before our big day and get comfortable with working with them. For us, the idea of people hovering around, taking photos of us made us a bit nervous. Almost immediately however, we felt completely at ease, and by the end of the session, we were excited to spend our wedding day with them! Finally, our wedding day arrived. The Vondys inserted themselves perfectly into the party, making every single interaction with our wedding party, families, and guests a positive one! Everyone had nothing but the best words to say about them. And our photos turned out just as we had expected them, perfectly capturing one of the most important days of our lives! We can’t imagine our wedding without Shannon and Justin, and we absolutely adore all of our photos! You wont regret booking the Vondys! 110% recommended!

Where can we start on this review besides saying that The Vondy's are AMAZING. We initially did not plan to prioritize wedding photographers in our wedding budget. A huge part of our wedding vision included the experiential side of our wedding (food, drinks, band etc.) ensuring everyone had a fantastic time. However, once we "met" the Vondy's we decided we had to include them in our celebration. We had a FaceTime meeting with the in which they convinced us that an investment in photography was a HUGE part of the experience. Meeting them in person for our engagement photos sealed the deal! Their incredible talent and partnership showed us that wedding photography was so much more than a keepsake for us (the bride and groom), and was much more of a service for our guests. After seeing our engagement session photos, our entire wedding party and guest list knew how fantastic our wedding photos would be and trusted us when we asked for a "unplugged" ceremony. Best of all, the unplugged ceremony turned into an unplugged wedding. Yes, we have some fun snapchat videos of us on the dance floor, but overall, everyone seemed to keep their phones in their pockets and instead spent the entire night enjoying dinner and the dance floor. All because they knew our photographers would capture the whole night! The Vondy's professionalism and kindness touched everyone at the wedding and 120+ guests received the liberating gift of living in the moment. The photos from our wedding are simply amazing and we couldn't ask for a better keepsake, but the memories from our big night are priceless. The Vondy's gave us so much more than just pictures. They gave us the partnership needed for a perfect evening and we cannot thank them enough! Just wow. The Vondy’s are wonderful to work with! We had Justin and Lisa working with us the day of and they were incredible. They captured all the pictures we could ever want and were hilarious! The Vondys truly are all that they claim to be, and more ! Not only are you getting beautiful, creative, individualize and stunning photos, but you are getting professionals that are attentive, caring and provide far more that just capturing your special day. We knew right from the start that we were going to be in the best hands for not only wedding day, but also for our engagement session. We initially contact the Vondys because I thought it would be less awkward to be lovey-dovey in front of a wife-husband team than an individual (and I was right), but they were so much more than that! We LOVED them. They were so fun to be around and even got my picture hating husband to relax and have fun. We knew we'd made the right choice after meeting them the first time, but what really surprised us was how much our guests also liked them! After the wedding, they were the vendor we got the most comments about. Everyone else loved them too! And on top of that, the pictures that we've gotten so far (they post highlights on their blog and instagram) are MAGNIFICENT and we love them. The Vondys are the best. Period. If you are looking for photographers who are able to truly capture the essence of who you are, and create absolutely stunning images that you will be able to enjoy for a lifetime, hire Justin and Shannon. The Vondys were recommended through a mutual friend, and within the first few minutes of talking to them over Skype, we knew it was a match made in heaven. The Vondys are a husband and wife team that care about forming a connection with their clients. After all, the best pictures come when people feel relaxed and comfortable! We knew that having them around on our wedding day would actually make our day MUCH more fun and full of laughter. When we talked to them, they mentioned that they will do just about anything to make our day easier and stress free. It was the truth. When I was having a nervous breakdown about having to read vows in front of our guests (I'm not big on public speaking), Justin was able to make me laugh through the tears, and suggested that we could read the vows after our first look, just to clear away the jitters and avoid ugly crying in front of our friends and family. We decided to do just that, and it changed the whole trajectory of our day. The moment was special, private, and unique. Plus, we were able to cry our way through it before walking down the aisle. It took away my anxiety and hearing the vows again during the ceremony was amazing, as I was really able to really listen and not be terrified of having to speak next. Shannon, was our biggest cheerleader throughout the day. She made us feel like a million bucks with every photo she snapped and she was able to guide us through our day, making sure to capture us in our best light. We both know that we smiled more because of them, and we could not be more thrilled with how all of the photos turned out. Plus, as LGBTQ brides, it was wonderful to have photographers who embraced the meaning of "love is love" and have given us memories that will last a lifetime. All in all, they are wonderful humans, and wonderful photographers, and anyone would be lucky to have them be a part of their big day.

The Vondys made us laugh from the minute we Skyped with them. We had a list of photographers to interview but never got to anyone else. We knew they were the perfect photographers for our wedding. Aside from the fact they are bursting with personality, they are excellent photographers. They are professional, detailed and creative. We felt they were part of our family. They blended right in, had a job to do and made it fun and seamless. Their photos expressed our special evening beautifully. Oh, the Vondys. I knew they were the team I wanted to capture our wedding the moment I met them (online). They brought such great energy to our wedding. They're warm, approachable, flexible, and social and everyone absolutely loved them! But, above all, the photographs they took of our wedding (and engagement) were amazing :) I asked to take candid shots as my husband wasn't a fan of posed photos and they delivered! The Vondys are excellent at what they do. They have an under-recognized ability to make you feel at ease and truly laugh. The difference is noticeable in both our engagement and wedding photos. While they are incredibly approachable they are also very professional, efficient, and assertive if necessary. Shannon was able to very capably wrangle my unruly and large family in a short amount of time in order to finish family photos quickly. I can't recommend them enough.

Look no further than The Vondys for your wedding photographers! I have been both a bride and a bridesmaid with The Vondys and they are AMAZING!!! My husband was less than thrilled about the prospect of hours of wedding photography, but Shannon and Justin knew exactly how to make him comfortable. Our photos turned out beautiful, The Vondys knew exactly where to shoot and the best angles for both us and the venue. They are incredibly professional, but also know how to keep your special day light and fun! They also go above and beyond: it was SUPER hot on our wedding day and Justin was great at making sure we stayed cool and hydrated. My mom wanted pictures of all her friends at the reception and they were more than happy to oblige. I put all my trust in them to get the perfect shots for our wedding day and we were not disappointed. I couldn't recommend anyone more than The Vondys: they will make you feel comfortable and go above and beyond your expectations, both in personality and in photo quality.

We love the vondys! Shannon and Justin were so easy to work with, and take AMAZING photos. From the first conversation on the phone, all the way through our wedding day and beyond, they were helpful, friendly, and responsive, and made us way more comfortable that we ever expected with taking photos and being the center of attention. They are super fun to spend time with (important, for people who will be trailing you for most of a day!) and know how to get beautiful portraits and fun candids without being intrusive. It does take awhile to get the photos, but they're pretty up front about the wait time and the photos are totally worth it! We would absolutely go with them again, and recommend to anyone looking for a photographer!

The Vondys are the BEST! I seriously could not have asked for better photographers on my wedding day. They made us and our guests feel so comfortable and got the most amazing shots. The Vondys are true professionals. I have several family friends who have worked with them and knew we'd be in for beatiful photos, but they day-of experience was like no other. Shannon and Justin are a total delight to be around - not only were they looking out for our best interests on the day of our wedding, they really went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying the moment. We received so many compliments from our guests about how fun they were to have around, right down to Shannon belting Billy Joel with us. I don't think there are words to express our gratitutde to the Vondys or for the level of skill they possess. They were the only photographers we spoke with and we decided right then and there that they were the ones for us. They are so talented, hilarious, kind, and pay so much attention to you, you'll think you're their only client (which is by far the case!). From our first interaction with Shannon and Justin it was so simple, they made everything easy and comfortable. We met them for an engagement session and had so much fun, not to mention that the pictures were GORGEOUS!!! I didn't know my husband and I could look that good, plus our doggo received some headshots as well ;). Leading up to the wedding the Vondys were so helpful with recommendations on everything from vendors to how to handle and enjoy our actual wedding day. They worked so well with our other vendors, and even though we had the longest, most obnoxious list of family photos, they handled it like pros - obviously - because they are!! Our wedding pictures turned out better than I could have ever imagined - when I'm down I look at them, when I'm happy I look at them, and everyone who has seen them say they look 1000 times better than theirs did (duh). So suffice to say, if you are considering the Vondys, look no further....hopefully they're not already booked.

Not only did they capture our day beyond our wildest dreams, but they completely came through for us on the day in a way we never imagined. They are the nicest, coolest people, and when we started to get stressed out about a couple things that came up on our wedding day, they just jumped right in & handled the situation for us while simultaneously reassuring us that we needed to just enjoy the day and not worry about anything - that’s not even their job! Having amazing photography was part of our "Top 5 Can't Wed Without" List. I probably spent more time combing the internet and making inquiry calls to photographers than any other vendor early on in the planning stages. And each time, I would get off the phone disappointed. Where do I start with a review about The Vondys? I could say how jaw-droppingly gorgeous our pictures looked. Or how professional they were from start to finish. Or even how they managed to corral two very large families into portraits in 105 degree weather in the middle of the desert— and have fun while doing it. I could say all those things but nothing would be important as saying The Vondys were more than just our wedding photographers. They were allies. With us every tiny step of the big day, I felt a reassuring calm in their hands. They had our best interests front of mind from start to finish. All that love and goodwill is evident on the page. We would be hard pressed to find one frame that wasn’t perfectly captured. The Vondys weren’t just our wedding photographers, they were our wedding saviors!

We were absolutely blown away by the Vondys! From our first Skype meeting all the way through our wedding day, they were personable, professional, and without a doubt masters at their art. It felt like spending time with good friends that just happened to be taking pictures of you. On a potentially stressful day, they helped us stay calm and enjoy the moment. We absolutely recommend them for their unparalleled photography skills but more importantly because they are great people you can feel absolutely comfortable and at home with!

Let me start off by saying this review is LONG overdue! We could not recommend Shannon and Justin more. I had done a ton of research on wedding photography and knew that we wanted someone to be able to capture our personalities and candid moments vs. super posed photos. From the first meeting with them, we knew they were our wedding photographers. We loved that they were a husband/wife team and were down to earth. They had us laughing the whole consultation meeting ☺ We had an amazing engagement session at San Francisco City Hall. It was actually our plan B as recommended by Shannon because it was too windy at Ocean Beach that day. Had we not taken her advice, our photos wouldn’t have been nearly as amazing. Fast forward six months later and our wedding day went even more seamless. Not only were they incredibly professional but they knew how to calm our nerves. From holding bouquets to chatting it up with awkward family members, we could not have been more impressed. Plus, can we talk about the photos? Their attention to detail, care, and talent showed through in their work. To this day, we are still raving about the two of them and receiving compliments on our wedding photos. They blew our expectations out of the water. We cannot thank you enough, Shannon and Justin!

The Vondys rock! Their professionalism, attention to detail, and obvious photographic skills were unmatched from the very beginning. From start to finish, our experience with Justin and Shannon was nothing short of amazing. From the first time talking with them on the phone, we could tell we were going to hit it off. Our engagement session was so much fun and the pictures came out perfect. We were so excited to share them with all of our friends. We met Shannon and Justin after entering their annual photography giveaway last year. We did a skype interview with them and we were hooked! Seriously, we got along so well with them right off the bat! We had shopped around for photographers and we didn't really get the warm and fuzzy from anyone. We wanted to make sure that if we hired someone it would actually be good! Imagine that...haha. Well, we took a look at their portfolio and LOVE the natural light that comes through in all of their photos! And then we met them, found out they're huge GoT nerds just like us and...the rest is history! Seriously though, every time we talked it was like catching up with an old friend! As a type-A person, this was one of the few things I felt completely comfortable just leaving in the professional's hands! My fiance and I had complete and total trust in them, and it was so nice just knowing that no matter what the photos were going to be bomb. I'm telling you--if you're on the fence about the $$ this is one thing that it is worth every penny! It's not a splurge, it's necessary, and they will exceed your EVERY expectation! My best friend hired someone from one of those huge nationwide photography companies and sadly was disappointed. She was in my wedding, and already is trying to hire them to do another shoot for her and her husband! My friend in HI is asking too, so many people have asked about them because they are that friendly, exceptional at what they do, and sooo personable! They can make even the most awkward (uh, myself and my fiance!) feel so comfortable and look so good! Bottom line is, the Vondys are so incredibly sweet, they are accommodating, and SO TALENTED! I don't know where else you can find that. I am so happy with this decision to book them, I couldn't be more pleased with how the day went, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for photographers! The Vondys are wonderful! Shannon and Justin photographed our wedding this past June and we feel so lucky to have found them. We consider ourselves EXTREMELY lucky that we were able to find the Vondys (through their annual wedding photography giveaway!) and have them to capture our wedding. We didn't win their grand prize, but choosing to work with them was a no-brainer! Living in Oklahoma City and having a destination wedding in Santa Barbara made wedding planning slightly stressful with some big unknowns. The Vondy's captured our wedding beautifully. Wedding-Magazine-Catalog-Quality is the most popular response from friends and family. By the end of the wedding everyone raved about how personable our photographers were. Then when we got our photos, and everyone raved about the quality which Shannon and Justin were able to capture our wedding. Not to mention we just hit it off. They are easy to get along with and that is so so important in wedding photographers. One of them was always nearby during the wedding and they were helpful in many ways - including, but not limited to Justin feeding me fruit and cheese during cocktail hour.

The Vondys photographed our wedding in Palm Springs this past March and we were absolutely thrilled with the entire experience. What my husband and I did not anticipate was that they would also become genuine friends. Based on photography alone, it's easy to see why The Vondy's have all 5-star reviews. They interpreted my wife's vision for our engagement session perfectly and knew just how to capture beautiful moments at the perfect time. But it's really Justin and Shannon as individuals that set them apart. It felt like we had known them for years the very first time we met them; and after our wedding our friends and family could not stop raving about them. They are so genuine, sweet, caring, and just downright fun to be around. They will get to know you on a personal level which allows them to provide a perfectly customized experience. From our engagement session, to grabbing pancakes with us the next day, to staying up with us all night at our reception, they provided an absolutely amazing service and became dear friends of ours along the way. Shannon and Justin more than exceeded our expectations for our wedding. From the moment we booked them, Shannon was there to answer any questions that I had, even when they weren't photography related. When we met them for our engagement shoot, it was like we had known them forever. They made us feel like we had known them forever! They made us feel so relaxed in front of the camera! The Vondys are amazing photographers. They have an incredible attention to detail to find the perfect spots and times to take the best possible pictures. Looking back at our wedding and engagement photos, if all they provided were the incredible photos, they would have been indispensable. However, they provide so much more than just that. From helping button my wife’s wedding dress to accommodating our untimely timeline, their top priority was helping us in any way they could.
