The V-Team Professional DJ

I hate to leave negative reviews, but our experience with the V-Team DJ honestly should be shared so other couples know what to expect. We hired Josh in October 2022 for a wedding at the end of July 2023. I spoke only with Josh, sent him comprehensive instructions, spoke on the phone, and even emailed with him the day of the wedding. With zero notice or notification, he did not come to our wedding and instead sent two people I had never met who had never once DJ'd a wedding. They walked up to me while I was getting photos done and I had to ask who they were. During ceremony set up, they told my brother (our officiant) that they had 'no mics'. Then both the bride and groom's brothers had to help them get the microphone set up while guests were already at the ceremony. For the actual dancing portion, the music had no flow or transitions, no one could hear the announcements, and we essentially had to manage them and tell them what to do/what to play all night long. The stand-in DJ also told multiple guests that it was their first time DJing a wedding. Josh's response was that he had to go to a different wedding that was 'more difficult' than ours (again, we booked him 10 months in advance). He refunded us $500 which is very appreciated, but that still means we paid $1,150 for a first time DJ with no wedding experience that caused us tons of stress. We still had some fun dancing and they followed our song requests, which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. Super bummed.

If I could leave zero stars I would! DO NOT hire this DJ. He was unable to provide music for my cousins wedding for the first 4 hours of the reception. You couldn't hear the music for their first dance or her father daughter dance. Not only did he not provide the service that he was hired for, Josh was incredibly rude during the entire affair.
